If you're scared of huge accidents with big influxes of injured/dying people then get ready, lol. This show likes their tragic situations

To understand Alex's behavior, I think he is not entirely confident because he failed his exams.

Around 26:30, when they mentioned decapitation, they got the medical terminology wrong. Decapitation is just the head. It is amputation when it is the limbs that are removed from the body.

"if love were enough, she'd still be here with you" is a direct parallel to the derek/addison/meredith situation. if love were enough, he'd have chosen meredith.

I'm glad you're enjoying the show and hope it stays in rotation. With Alex, he failed his exams, was being weird to Izzie and continually messed up with patients, he really needed that win..even if it came through backhanded means.

Samantha Ubaldo

Ahhh so glad you liked this one! This was one that I was really excited for your reaction

This episode gets me every time. The characters of Bonnie and Tom send me into an emotional spin I can’t quite explain.

I don't think they got it wrong. I think she meant there were actual decapitations. Which is why she said he can live without his leg, because you can't live without your head.

A Mimi Schmear would probably be a variation of a peripheral blood smear. However, since the name is Mimi Schmir (I googled it to see how it was spelled hahahaha), that's 100% an experiment on the Russian space station Mir.

A wise and good hospice nurse told me, from her experience watching people die, that we die how we lived. That, yes, the true person is there at death.
