I appreciate your comments on wanting to understand bipolar more. As the show progresses, you'll get to see a lot more of it, and it's one of the things that Shameless gets pretty much 100% right.

God, this show just hits hard sometimes.

that episode was hard for me. i watched it when i was studying at school, i was maybe 14. and yes, i started to have suicidal thoughts then. i have emotionally unstable personality disorder, idc if it’s a right name in english (sorry, i’m russian) and depression. but at that time i didn’t know it. now i’m 20, i have a therapist, medicine, laid in a hospital twice, third time will be in a week. because i just don’t wanna be there anymore. so my disorder has connection with bipolar. the difference is that mine is acquired, and bipolar is congential mostly. i can feel what it is like. monica is a bad mother, bad character, but i’m really sorry for her. however, i love your videos, i like your family, so happy for you💜 your reactions makes my days better

fun fact: lip and mandy actors had a relationship in real life!

I'm bipolar, do not just drag me out of bed, I will get violent. You need to let me see through it, it's the only way to survive. I'm not proud of it, but i'm coping. Yes, it's trial and error with meds and dosages, you could be on anti-depressants, anti-psychotics, mood stablizers... there are a lot of things... The brain is a scary mess
