OH HECK YEAH

Elisha Li

they did show her love interest! I think you were talking at the time but they showed her running to him after her concert, hugging for a while and him kissing her head. They’ve since broken up but they were together for like 6 years or so

I’d love it if you reacted to Taylor’s Folklore long pond studio session on Disney plus Reputation stadium tour on Netflix

I felt a shift in the documentary when she was working with her pianist and it seemed you were agreeing with her that it's hard to write your own material, but I would push back and say she's always written her own material, but this is one of the first songs where she owns the album (she's making all those re-records for earlier albums) so she's at a level of stakes that are just as high as the UMG team she is working with so I think that's why it seems like she's a little more hesitant. But to shatter my own argument, she wrote Folklore with The National for some of the songs, performed, and produced it in 3 months without her label and gave them a week's notice before she released it (which they supported) - it went on to win the Album of the Year at the Grammy's so obviously it was beneficial for her, creative partners, and UMG, but I think what we're seeing, again, in this documentary is some hesitance and a bit of strain toward doing 1989-like songs that were so popular at the onset.

Taylor has been on the Eras Tour, which broke the record for most concert tickets ever sold in a single day at 2.4 million. The show is groundbreaking because she's going through all of her albums, and the concert is over 3 hours with a setlist of 44 songs. A concert film of the tour has been released in theatres all over world and has become the highest-grossing concert film EVER. There is a reason why Taylor is called the music industry. She's experimented with practially all the genres, she is a clever businesswoman, is heavily involved in not just the writing but the production of her music, an activist, and in spite of her fame and success she is still so humble and grounded. She was in a 6 year relationship with British actor Joe Alwyn, but unfortunately they broke up in March. You saw him briefly hugging Taylor at the end of one of her shows. Joe even co-wrote/co-produced 10 of her songs released from 2020 to 2022 under the pseudonym William Bowery. She briefly dated singer Matty Healy from the band The 1975 (which many fans were not happy about because he's problematic af) and is now linked to football player Travis Kelce for the Kansas City Chiefs (I'm not into sports at all but apparently he's a big deal). Fun fact: In the music video for ME!, which is the song she and Brendon collaborated on, he gives her a cat (who you can see in the beginning on the piano while Taylor is playing). She actually adopted that cat and named him Benjamin Button (from the Brad Pitt movie). She also has two cats before, Meredith Grey (after the character from Grey's Anatomy) and Olivia Benson (after the character from Law & Order: SVU), who both appeared in the video. Also, both of the actresses, Ellen Pompeo and Mariska Hargitay, appeared in Taylor's music video for Bad Blood (along with a lot of other actors/singers/models).

I love your commentary but it would be great if you paused the movie while you are giving it so not only we can hear you better but also you don’t miss other crucial things from the movie that are important for you to hear and perhaps might want to comment on. Thanks for taking the time to learn about Taylor Swift, you rock.

I have definitely learned some things since releasing this 😂 Thank you for delivering it in a more positive way 🙌 Never did a song reaction before and I think if I did, this whole thing would have been different. Including the idea of pausing. And now I know more about Taylor and how she performs. More lyrically driven and all that. The next time will be much more prepared 😉 😂

Although I was a fan of early Taylor, my own life got in the way for several years before I was reminded of how amazing she is and got back to her music. So I missed a lot of the drama of the sexual assault case and the political coming out so to speak. It was really interesting to me when I saw Miss American for the first time to realize some of what had happened in the years where I was a more casual fan. I have to agree with you that knowing more of those things really added a respect for her as a person to my respect for her as a songwriter and performer.
