I think she’s got another documentary way before this one honestly but I could be wrong. It might have more detail into the past issues she’s had.

I'd never watched this documentary, had only heard the song dancing with the devil, I didn't know the whole story but now I'm going to cry even more when I listen to this song. I remember when I was around 14-15, going up to my uncles flat (he was originally cut off from family due to his addiction but a few months previous my dad (his younger brother) got back in contact with him and I was so fucking happy) and being told to sit in his kitchen with his new dog, had no clue why, but I listened to my gran (his mother) and sat there with the dog. Then I heard the paramedics come through the door, and the shouting and the walky talkys and hearing along the lines off “we need to get him out of here and to the hospital now, he might code” and I knew then I was listening to my uncle overdose. I had another experience with my abuser, having to rush her to the hospital when I was 13, she was 14 and seeing her seize on the hospital floor due to alchohol poisoning. Her mother stayed at the party my my mother had to help her. Addiction runs in my family, I'm addicted to some shit and I'm always scared I'm going to go too far with something. I'm 20 in 3 months and I think ill be safe when I hit 20, no one in my dads side of the family (except my dad) has made it to 20 without being heavily addicted to drugs, or overdosing. All this to say, I feel this documentary, the friends of Demi especially, and I hope whoever comes across this, first sorry for the trauma dump, and second, it's ok to reach out, it's ok to not be ok, it's ok to hit rock bottom as long as you get up, whether you spend days, weeks, months, years at that bottom, the top is always going to be there and there is always going to be that light, it's not going to disappear and you can climb up when you're ready
