I would love y'all's feedback on this-- is there any part that comes across as insensitive to the health detriments already faced by people of color due to chronic disenfranchisement? That's a tangential topic from the one I aim to cover here, but it's CERTAINLY related.

It didn’t read as insensitive to me, it came across more to me that many people prefer to try to put their heads down and get on with it even while wanting change, and that’s not a way to ever get change. It’s also interesting how coordinated it was, considering Rosa Parks was brave and started a movement, but local leaders also picked her as the case because she was seen as more sympathetic than Claudette Colvin, whose incident started the wheels in motion. That is not at all to diminish Rosa Parks, one of our greatest heroes, just to point out that coordination and thinking about public opinion matter as well when affecting change. I’m barely awake so I hope that made as much sense as it did in my head.

"when the which is what this is" I'm genuinely not sure what this sentence is trying to say. This seems a bit word-salady to me.

I get enough condescending lectures from the expatriates in my blood family; I don't see the need to pay an artist to tell me that I should spend more time Reading and Weeping and less time actively building community. Have fun being free and critiquing us from afar, I guess.

Ok, just watched this….that was surreal to have already read it and then watch the actual video… 🤯
