what's the article June mentioned at the start of this episode?

Elaine Åhlfeldt

Wow, holy shit. One of the regular commentators on WWE Smackdown made a joke reference to Welch's crypto scam last week, and I said to my partner "now that's fucking rich coming from a company that employs Logan Paul". But at the time I apparently didn't appreciate the full extent of that irony, as I didn't know the Paul brothers were the people running her podcast. Idk if they've been officially fingered as involved in that rug pull yet, but if they're involved in her other business I can't imagine they wouldn't be. What a world.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Luigi is an unlucky patsy. That manifesto sounds like it was written by a cop and everything else could be planted

Calling X the Everything App is like saying "Max: The one to watch for HBO"

Charlie

there was something about being interviewed for an NBC story?

I think people who have been very smug about how Bluesky is cringe really are lame considering Twitter is just like flat out full of unrestricted Nazis and transphobes. Like I agree a lot of Bluesky's environment is cringe but Twitter is objectively so much worse and more evil

Jackson

To me it seems like pretty solid that it's him. I like my conspiracies too but I feel like people are really reaching to be conspiratorial about this just because they don't want the guy to have gotten caught.

That hasn't come out yet I don't think, stay tuned!

The last good website is Defector. But Bluesky is a good start

Driving on the 5 in LA, the most insane raised Lexus (I don’t know* cars well) drove by me it had all the bells and whistles for sure and custom paint job with the license that said HAWKTUA. I don’t think it had the H. In California we can not have more than 7 letters* I have a photo if anyone wants it. And it was like an elderly grandma looking character driving it. 🤷‍♂️ scary.

Live by the marine base Pendleton and they (the marines) are forced to come to public paintball. We were kids playing for fun. And the USMC gave one marine to us against trained soldiers every time to see if we could defeat the other 8 or 10 or 12 professionals. Yea as we realized quickly we couldn’t win so we went out of bounds and started sniping (advice) of the marine who was on our team. Guerrilla baby. Got our first win.

The conspiracies fall apart pretty quickly if you allow for the possibility that he wanted to/expected to get caught. That also explains some of the more brazen aspects of the crime-that he wasn’t really trying that hard to get away with it and possibly expected to be caught before he got on the bus out of NYC and didn’t really have a plan otherwise.

Speaking on the media making shit up I had a Muslim roommate doctor when we were down in Mexico and he clearly had schizophrenia (wore like a amulet) and tracked down a DEA agent shot him through the chest…agent lived but media just said “he was a member of ISIS” dude couldn’t even cook an egg. Not a bad guy just to many drugs for the boards.

When Hawk Tuah first got started I ordered a Hawk Tuah pizza at a local place. It was very good. But once the meme was over they took it off the menu, so it lives only in my memory.

nyquil_jordan23

the guest lowkey sounds like alex every time he speaks in a higher register

I used to work with UHC and when this guy died, they didn't even have a moment of silence for him the next day. It was just back to the grind for everyone.
