Oh, this IS interesting. Not to continually compare them, but...Alcor is full of advice and insight to Polaris on having to navigate a relationship with someone not of his station, and to be understanding of things from Yildun's POV (and he wasn't even a begrudging fan of Yildun then!) But for himself...I think Alcor has learned that trying to fight for things he wants doesn't work, and can maybe even screw things up worse, so it's better just to accept it. Here's hoping he's willing to give it another shot, if it's not just himself he'll be fighting for.
