Hey y’all! My Polar Bear Engineer is done! I hope you guys like him cause I’m super happy with how he came out lol. It’s also been awhile since I rendered a full body but it actually wasn’t too bad this time around as I think I’m improving at it 😂
Nonetheless his name is Ogün Estus! Here’s some lore about him!
Growing up in the slums of the fallen city at a young age with no one but his younger sister, Ogün quickly learned that surviving is hard work, something that isn't given to you on a platter. However due to this ideal that's been forced through his being, alongside having to care for his younger sister through the slums, he would do whatever he could to get work done. Being an amputee at a young age did not help his situation either, constantly being looked down upon, as people believed he wouldn't possibly be able to keep up or do good work. However his Resilience was enough to prove his capabilities despite his disability. Ogün would spend his time walking through the slums and fallen city, looking around to see what he could work on for payment. He'd do anything that had a dollar bill attached to it, sweeping up shops, stacking boxes, carrying supplies, and more, completing everything he could to make enough money for him and his sister who'd he would spend every bit of freetime around albeit minimal, ensuring she was fed and cared for.
Ogün slowly became well known around the Slums and even the fallen city, which was now being rebuilt bit by bit. One day around the age of 19, Ogün was helping a mechanic pack up their workshop when a few books fell out of one of the boxes. Flipping through the pages he could see that these books were the basics of Engineering, minor stuff, but things that intrigued Ogün to his very core. Offering to buy the books off the mechanic, the man smiled as he waved away any payments, allowing Ogün to simply borrow his books with the promise of return, and thus Ogün gave his thanks before heading off. These books would give Ogün his beginning into his lifelong passion.
Later on that week he was found in a nearby scrapyard, slowly having gone through the books as he had learned how to read from teaching his younger sister all these years. These books slowly became second nature to Ogün, as within the next few days he was able to already make his first creation. It wasn’t anything spectacular, but enough to fuel this passion.
Around the age of 26, Ogün was a changed man. Now strutting around the streets of the slums and the rebuilding city, tools at the ready to help any and all possible mechanical or building issues, while making sure those around him are safe and protected. Most people felt safe around Ogün, except for whenever he begins tinkering with things, often tuning out the world as he speaks to himself as if he’s working through the whole process step by step in his mind. Ogün was able to work on anything, despite having only seen some of the objects he asked to help on only once, as if he was able to deduce every build down to its essentials, before building it back up to learn how to fix or improve onto it. Working on these things is practically invigorating to Ogün, and he will always make sure it's at its peak performance. Ogün would also spend his time loitering around the construction sites of the new city, using his most prized and recent project that he’s always seen to be tinkering with, A prosthetic arm, allowing his body to work as hard as his heart has always wished to. One day while Ogün was casually passing through the construction sites, a group of fearful yelling could be heard from above by a bunch of construction workers, seeing as a metal beam had unlodged from their hooks, heading straight towards civilians. However, upon Ogün noticing this, the metal beam’s trajectory had changed, now heading towards the large polar bear who currently held his gauntlet high up in the air, bringing the metal beam directly to his massive metallic paw. Of course he got hit in the face and scraped his arm as changing the trajectory did not change the speed of the beam, but that's not without a smile on his face as his most recent upgrade to his arm was a success! The ability to change an object's and his own gauntlet's magnetism. However shortly after that momentous occasion, anybody who was looking at this well known polar bear could see him currently hunched over, screwdriver in hand as he began to quickly tinker with his gauntlet which seemed to be smoking as it had caught on fire.
Ogün would continue to spend his life heavily running around the rebuilding city that was yet to be unnamed, a smile on his face as he saw plenty of opportunities in his path to fix and tinker, as well as to work alongside the strong to protect those who need protecting. He had also opened his own workshop up to the public in his later years. The Polar-ity, a large workshop filled with all sorts of scraps and metal in which anyone could bring any object that required fixing for mere pocket change. Customers could even ask him to upgrade or create gadgets or objects for them for a higher price, all in which he held immense pride in.
He also never returned those books as his sister found them under a coffee table one day while packing up to move with their newfound money. Ogün showed up to his workshop the next day with a bruise in the shape of a book across his face, he did not want to speak on it whenever a customer mentioned it.
Thanks again and I hope everyone has a great day! 🤎🙏
