This is actually the same panel as the post below. Only thing is, the 'mood' of that scene wasn't turning out how i wanted it to be, so I had this panel redrawn.

My original idea was to have Ulaan change into his 'royal outfit'. But later on, I felt like it's a little too early to have him looking so 'kingly'. So I decided to put him back into his stinky old tunic again XD I think I want him in that tunic (for now) because I like how it makes him seem more grounded and down-to-earth and less vain. And because it'll flow better.

Also tweaked his expression and how he's interacting with Khara but I'm still undecided on this one.

Anyway these minor details are stuff that I think about a lot while I'm working on the episodes. Sometimes this costs me quite a bit of time but I'm reluctant to forgo them   because I usually (but not always) have a pretty strong sense of how the scenes play out in my head, which I try hard to get down on paper.

...This probably doesn't make much sense to you now, but when the episode is complete, you might have a better idea of what I'm rambling on about.

Maybe XD

Lily it all makes sense to us, Ulaan looks better in his tunic, like you said totally down to earth, and now you can see the relationship between him and his horse. Can't wait to see the episode. You talking about it makes us understand how you are working through it. We love take breaks and take care Lily🌸😇💞💖x p.s is Khara the horse related to Khan the horse from Mulan x

Lily I have to say. I’ve been a patron for various other artists and out of all of them, your page is my hands down favorite. Your previews are so great and your art and stories are fantastic, but when you share tidbits like this, I feel much closer to you as a fan and get to learn so much about the wonderful and intense!!!! work that you do. You’re amazing. Thank you so much for sharing these things with us!!

The behind the scenes stuff is so fascinating to me. I enjoy watching behind the scenes of movies, TV shows, etc. Some people just don't realize how much effort goes into creating that one scene. Every gesture, angle, and even clothing has a meaning behind it!

If it makes sense to you then it makes sense to us!

Like others have said, it is fascinating to watch how you work through stuff like this. Thank you so much for sharing.
