He’s terrified someone will hurt her and then he sees this angel with his food and suddenly everything is better. He was shaking. Oh my god. I just. I cannot. I’m in love. This raised my credit score, cured my depression, paid all of my bills. I’ve been checking Patreon obsessively and it finally paid off😭😍 You really really REALLY killed all of us. Goddamn. Bravo, BRAVO YOU FUCKIN ARTISTE. Excuse me as I read it six more times.

OH MY GOD. So so so many feels. And that song is so perfect. I prefer music in languages I don't understand (or instrumentals) personally because it adds to the story rather than distracts me with lyrics. And that song amplified the feels by 10. This might be my favorite yet, which is kinda how I feel about each one.... but this time it definitely is! Enjoy a well deserved rest and time with the hubby.

He’s falling for her ! HARD. Tora is trying so hard to protect her and it’s fucking beautiful. I applauded when he beat the other dude up ! PROTECT YO GIRL . Although I was really sad at how he views himself ... he needs a poppy in his life ! She makes him happy!!! He deserves it. This has got to be one of my most favorite chapters !! It makes me love Tora more and understand his affection for Poppy and why he is attracted to her !

Poor Tora. He's really worried about Poppy getting hurt because of his actions. The only solution is to just stay at her play or you know find a way to better secure her current apartment. But I'd prefer him sleeping over. 😘 BTW loved this episode. I really like the dark parts; they are real and have depth. You are an amazing story teller!

He does not want to get her involved , and he fears the even the slightest thought of anything bad happening to her. Ooooh, i think i understand now why tora offers his number so freely, then gives the woman a fake number. Its not him being a dick. Its him desperatly wanting to meet a significant other, but knowing that being in a relationship would be bad for the people he cares about. He truly is a gentle giant.

Dang, even tho it was a long episode, it left me wanting more.. Of course.. Boy, I think I love every expression Tora has, so attractive and his drawn expressions have such depth. She is so cute and fluffy, I love she's not a stick, but has meat on her bones, it goes with Tora. The story is getting deeper and I can't wait for more!

I just reread it for the 8th time 😳. The little details are amazing, like the little out of place wisps of Poppy’s hair after she’s sweaty from cooking.... and she looks STUNNING at the same time. And I still love this song. It makes me feel like I’m watching a J-drama just as things are getting intense. So heavy... and I know I’m going to reread it again by the end of the day Hahahaha

I just wanted to pop in and tell you how much I love this new chapter. I’ve reread it like four times and the last time I reread the whole comic just because I love digging my teeth into juicy character development like we’ve got here. We had glimpses of Tora’s character, but he was always kind of a mystery element, a wildcard in the story. It was hard to know exactly what was going on in his head. This chapter, from the angles you chose to draw from (which, KUDOS TO YOU) as well as the flashbacks, and scenes he was imagining to himself, this was really Tora’s chapter and wow if he isn’t just the most caring gangster I’ve ever seen. That tough exterior obviously hides a heart that is so ready and willing to care for others, even when he knows he shouldn’t. I might be wrong, but I’m fairly certain Poppy isn’t Tora’s one and only yet and he would end up feeling guilty and protective and worried about any innocent who happened to stumble into this life. He doesn’t think Quincey or Mr. Lam or even the kid are innocent because they all know to some degree what they’re getting themselves into. Poppy is completely ignorant and you can just see the strain Tora’s having to remain detached because he KNOWS he has to disappear before she can’t get out, but he also likes her now and I’m fairly certain that Tora has gotten to a point in his life where he clings to any bright spot, be that cigarettes or juice boxes. I’m really struggling to get to a point but I hope I’ve made my admiration clear at how you managed to showcase the inner workings of a really complex character - and do it well. I ESPECIALLY loved the extra effort to do all those different perspectives of Poppy. Damn girl. Teach a class on perspective drawing.
