Hey guys. To those who didn't read my update post here, I was offered a featured artist position on Webtoon with MPL. I'm still unable to reveal what's happening right now, but what I can tell you is that I'm in the midst of negotiating terms with Webtoon and I'm being very careful and thorough with this. And what I can promise you is that the Secret Garden tier and all its contents will remain unchanged!! Because that is a non-negotiable for me and a dealbreaker. This means you'll get to read the NSFW spinoffs of a featured webtoon bahaha 🤪

Anyway, indirectly because of this, the previous MPL episode will be the last one of this season, and there won't be an episode today. Which is just as well since that was the least cliffhanger-y cliffhanger that could happen 🤓

As for AB, the next episode will be released as promised, or earlier, and I am working on this next AB episode right now. Depending on how negotiations with Webtoon go (ie. if the deal goes through and I accept the offer), there will also be changes to the future of AB. HOWEVER, I promise that AB will be completed one way or another.

I'm so sorry that everything is still so uncertain, and it kills me not to be able to give you guys any final updates and conclusions. But I'm fighting for the best possible outcome for all of us. Fingers crossed that all this will be finalised soon so I can let y'all know what to expect with everything.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions, I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thank you for reading!

Thank you thank you for fighting to keep secret garden! I would have been so sad to see that go. My thirsty, thirsty soul would have withered up away in sadness. Also, congratulations and good luck! You deserve this. Your art and story telling capabilities are so enthralling! ❤

Roselin

Aww at least AB will return soon. I hope everything goes smoothly with the negotiations Lilydusk! Fighting~

Eva

I'm glad you are keeping the NSFW posts I never even considered that that might go away 😭😭😭😭. Also I am hopeful that you will get a deal that you can be happy with! I will say that I feel like once AB is back and webtoons sees the traction it gets they might offer you something for that as well? I can't help but feel like they arbitrarily chose mpl because of it's current popularity when we know from the last switch that AB was also very popular going to the top of romance charts in the same way mpl is right now. I love both stories equally btw, just my random thoughts.

Erin Popov

Way to stick with what you want as an artist and acknowledge us as reader's as to what we enjoy. Thank you! ❤️

Yessss girl you stick up for yourself and whats important to you! I'm so proud, I feel that its so easy for big companies to take advantage of people just desperate to be able to make art for a living. I'm glad that you're taking your time to consider everything and really hammer out the details. And I'm so glad Secret Garden is going to exist no matter what! Love you!

Vida Talab

That’s so cool you’re getting being recognized for the awesome shit you do 👍🏼 also soops cool of you to look out for your NSFW fans by keeping that content. I love both MPL and AB, and I’m super excited for the next AB episode to come out 😆😆😆🙌🏼

Princess Nini

yasss , do what’s right for you !! I’m glad you’re thinking of us as well <33 this is why I love you so much ! I’ll always support you !

Roxyfoxyrachel

Girl, you deserve this!! Your art is beautiful, the symbolism is gorgeous, and the story is tres manifique! I love love love AB, and I do hope you're able to finish it before MPL is released as a featured webtoon, but if not, we understand. We love and support you no matter what ♡♡♡♡♡

Stephanie L Hawk

Lily, I truly admire how much you're fighting to keep both comics going. Another toon I was following got the chance to be featured on a toon they had just begun so it meant that the toon that they'd been working on for a year would just have to come to an end. It was pretty sad cause while both are great, the one that had been running longer had, of course, more character development and the readers were invested and just left with no resolution. I will never say don't take an big opportunity to blow up MPL if you can but I'm thrilled that you realized that this community of yours loves AB too. And I hope, as someone else mentioned, with AB coming back, maybe it can grab more attention and be given and equal place at the table. I can tell you love your babies so much and I love that you share them with us. P.S. I would've died if they told you no more Secret Garden. I ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ the sexy-sex of Tora/Poppy and Yuwa/Ulaan sooooo damn much. P.P.S. My hubs also says he loves the Secret Garden ones cause he gets a ton of action every time you release a new one....😉😉😉😉😂😂😂

Victoria K

HUGE thank you for whatever future artwork you release ♥️ I am so excited for your next steps as an author (and can't wait to see where AB goes)

Irene A

I'm so happy for you, and thank you for keeping AB for us. It's become a part of me and I really appreciate how attentive and considerate your are to us. Bless you.

Kizuno

Love both MPL and AB and I will support u either way, and I admire u sticking up for yourself! I know other creators were limited and didn't get exactly what they wanted in their webtoon contracts but I'm glad to see u sticking to ur guns and giving your readers the best. Hope it all goes well!

Janice Angelica

Imma bit sad for I was waiting for the update tonight. Butttt, highly respect for whatever you decide, maybe there's something i don't know. Hahaha. I'll be waiting patiently for AB AND MPL ON THE FEATURED! All the best for ya Lily! See ya Pops & Tora

Kim Sambajon

If you get featured does that mean we are also going to lose the original uploaded episodes on webtoon. Well i think i dont need that as long as they are still available here 😂

Kim Sambajon

But please dont make any changes on the current episodes and plots. Hopefully it remains as it is

PixyCake

Yay! We are here to support you, and I am sure we are all happy for the opportunity they are giving you. Although we might lose MPL episodes, we are still very happy for you. :) Keep it up! <3

Buddi Saur

Your art is beautiful and both MPL and AB are amazing. You’ve worked so hard and deserve the best of the best with not just MPL but AB as well. I just recently (like a week or 2 ago) started reading both MPL and AB and fell in love with your art, the characters and your way of story telling. I’m glad that your planning on keeping both of your comics going. I know that myself and many other fans with wait patiently for both your amazing comics.

Victoria Dias

Kinda sad because I was really excited to read MPL’s last episode ): but happy for your progress and success! ♥️

Michelle N.

Wishing you the best in the negotiations with Webtoons!

(╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻)

Man, I’m all for MPL and AB cause I love em both. Whatever happens, I’m still here. But glad to hear the Secret Garden Tier/NSFW content isn’t going anywhere. Cause I love it and low key admit a perv and you can take all my money just for it. Lol! 🤣 😘😘😘

Blasianz

YAAY! I’m so excited! No matter what happens, I am so proud of you Lily! I love both AB and MPL and i’ll be here for both no matter what direction it goes (:

Ashleyyy

Get that coin, girl

Gudrun

Hello Lilydusk, Thank you for keeping the Secret Garden alive for us. Stay steadfast in your negotiations with Webtoon, remember you have a large following here on Patreon and your other social platforms even without being employed by Webtoon as a featured artist position. You can be proud of yourself, don't let them bend you. Even though I'm an MPL fan, I'm happy that the Cliffhanger in AB will finally be dissolved and you won't give up AB as a featured artist in the future. I still have one request: could you upload the remaining episodes of MPL here before they are blocked by Webtoon? There won't be anything for us to read for a long time when it gets serious with Featured Webtoon. (except our beloved Secret Garden)

AltRaflo

Don’t worry about us, we are happy for you ! And I feel really grateful, you never fail to think about us. We are supporting you and it’s a hard path. Get your money and thank you for leaving us the secret garden hehe

Diana L Rojo

I shall wait deary. MPL and AB are awesome, keep doing your best and keep us followers posted love.

Schkaka

Totally happy for you! I will wait as long as I have to for both of your stories cause they are fan freaking tastic😘 you stick to your guns and make the best decisions for you. Good luck 💖

Claire Croshaw

What does it mean to be a featured comic???

Tia Ledvina

We love you Lily!!! Can’t wait to hear how this goes!!!

Sarah T

Here’s to wishing you the best in negotiating! We’ll support you no matter what the outcome!

Rosaid

This sounds exciting 😍 finally, your work is amazing!

Emily Basso

Thank you for always being so forthcoming and giving us such honest and detailed updates! They actually make being patient easy! good luck with the further negotiations 💪🙌

Muhlindr

There are comics that are good, and then there are those that just resonate with you on another level for whatever reason - the latter is MPL for me. From day 1, I’ve loved the art, the story, and Tora of course. You’re the first artist I pledged to, and I’m super happy for you and this opportunity!

Blue Orchid Cosplay

How exciting!! Congrats! I love reading both! 💕😍❤️

Jane Doe

It's about time! I don't think any of us could figure out why Webtoons waited so long on your offer, it was sheer madness.

Pan Xiong

Yaass!! So excited for you!

Taisa

Good luck! You deserve a lot, I hope to see you soon with 99,999 hearts like other featured webtoons 😁 And being here, when it's possible, I would like to know a bit more of how this Featured thing works, totally out of curiosity. Do you sign a job contract as a employee? Or do you still work as a freelance and they pay you? Is it really so much as it seems to be? (I have heard a lot of artists talk about having enough to even hire people when going Featured). Also, I am impressed about how many webtoons are going Featured. I guess now with the ads and the coin option it is worth for them.

AngelWitchX

Good luck & congrats :) I hope everything works in your favor. I hope this helps you grow as an artist and you get more followers. Question, for AB would it be better/possible to pause it after the 2 chapter update and just start it up again once MPL is complete? I rather you complete the story as you wish to tell, don't mind waiting.
