This whole episode is utterly brilliant! The way they react to each other and the sass that she gives him. Those are the precious little moments you look back on and realize how much someone means to you😍 I also love how she keeps throwing those hints that she knows he is the one that caught her when she fell out of the tree. His face was priceless when she said "so just the guitar".😏

After having reread their past interactions and the past couple chapters, I have come away with several impressions, probably none of which are right😕 1) Tora suffers from extreme insecurity, most obvious when someone judges him on his appearance but also through his continous questioning of Poppy's impressions of him. Also the whole comment in the alley about Poppy pretending to be nice. 2) Despite how gorgeous and ripped he is (not to mention his secret cinnamon roll inner self), he seems to be inexperienced with women. His hamster comment and grabbing her face in the grocery store come across to me as an awkward reaction to him feeling out of his element. This could also be why he didn't really seem to notice and/or reciprocate Candy's attention (though I more hope it was because the boy was smart enough to recognize a diseased whore😁). And 3) Both of these plus his close friendship with Quincey could be why the men think he is gay. I myself have been assumed to be gay or asexual. Neither is the case, I just suffer from low self-esteem, depression, and anxiety, which has made me (quite embarrassingly to admit) at 31, inexperienced with men. As I like to tell people, no I am just awkward 😞😊 Wouldn't it be cute if he too was a virgin and they can experience it together like true soul mates?

I love Poppy's smile. She is so adorable and cute with a mischievous side, no wonder Tora is smitten. I love seeing Tora as uncomfortable as possible, being shy and embarrassed and acting like a kid, just obviously out of character for him which Poppy seems to consistently bring out in him. This episode was amazing Lily and you do some amazing work art wise and story wise. You are such a talented person to be able to draw to such a high standard but also give us a gripping story. I noticed the synopsis of the Webtoon has also changed which has removed the bit about Quincey. 🤔 This episode was also super long but you always go above and beyond with the length of episodes. I like Tora and Poppy's relationship and how they are like ying and yang but complement each others personalities. As much as I can't deny I'm here for the OTP of Poppy and Tora, I'm interested as to where the story will go with Tora and the notebook, will he get his redemption? Will Poppy become the Mafia wife? Who knows.... Also I'm. Pretty sure the next episode is where it finished on discover, so I'm super excited to see where we go from there. My favorite things this week were the gorgeous backlighting on Poppy’s hair, Tora’s mini smiles, and his hands shivering - a chilling reminder that even though he often comes across as physically invincible, he’s still under someone’s control in a vast and violent network. Awesome storytelling.

I love that we got to spend time with the characters... together and flirting... it’s nice to see the a beginning of a friendship among other things. It was refreshing to watch the characters personalities unfold as we spent spend time with our mains and took a brief pause from unfolding the overall plot. Tora is so wild for Poppy... can’t wait for it to get heated between the two. The build up is crazy.

I have a couple theories/questions to throw out here 🤔 1. Does Poppy have some fight experience? Like boxing or something. Not like professionally but some things I’ve noticed make me wonder. Dene bringing up the gym membership but saying it wasn’t for Poppy’s body weight. Her coworkers talking about there being more to Poppy than what you see. The flashback of her with her dad and she’s got boxing gloves on. She landed a punch to Tora’s face, WITHOUT hurting her OWN hand. I know it’s common knowledge not to tuck you thumb under your fingers but, in the heat of the moment, inexperienced people would most likely tuck it anyway without thinking. If this was a purposeful choice by the author, it could imply that she knows how to properly throw a punch and has the muscle memory to do it properly without having to think about it. Then there’s the fact that, yea she felt bad about hitting him but, she seemed kinda proud of herself when he said she’s the first to hit him in the face in years. She has this cute friendly personally but we’ve seen that she was bullied as a child, not even close to the extent of Tora’s torment but that common ground past experience leading them both to learn to protect themselves would be really interesting. 2. The thing about Tora being too lazy to move up in the ranks, I don’t think that’s true. I think he stays where he is for Quincey. They grew up together. That garage scene Tora sees that Quincey is nothing like his father in the sense that Quincey doesn’t enjoy hurting people, he doesn’t even like to use his last name, he wants to stand on his own two feet separate from that life. If Tora moves up, someone else would be assigned to guard Quincey and Tora knows they would treat Quincey like shit because he wouldn’t fit what they’d expect from the boss’ son. Tora stays with Quincey so Quincey can live his life how he wants without being judged. 3. The photo the one guy found. It looks like from left to right, Tora in the background helping the girl, then I think it’s Quincey, Scharch, Claude, Goliath, the darker guy I’m not sure (connection to Lane maybe 🤔) but the one in the drivers seat could be Gyu. Just putting my guess out there with the photo thing though 🤷🏽‍♀️ I love stories and characters that make you think and MPL has that. There’s so many details that make this story an amazing work of art. Thank you, Lilydusk and your team, for what you’ve created here. It isn’t finished yet but it’s already a masterpiece.

So Tora was super possessive about his hat a few episodes back. Poppy still has his jacket. How adorable how it be if she offers it back to him at some point and he tells her she can keep it? And then when they start getting closer, we see her wearing it every once in a while.

I might have missed this earlier, I’ve really been enjoying the comments and theories people have been posting here, but was there a scene earlier with Tora playing the guitar? Nothing comes to mind which leads me to think it must have been a really minor bit in something earlier in the story; — edit: never mind it was earlier when Tora was lying about being a celebrity (but goes on to say he’s not a singer, although he says he plays the guitar)
