Ugh. Why is he so beautifully drawn? His one redeeming quality (besides mad taste in employees) is being cool with his flamboyant son 1) writing the worlds most popular erotica, and 2) holding off on producing some sort of secondary heir. Usually these mafia dons are obsessed with succession matters, no? I am curious if we’ll find out whether the young lady with the neckline down past her bellybutton at that meeting was the actual Mrs. Balthuman or just passing arm candy. Waaah! I don’t want the pressure on Tora to ratchet up any further but it looks like it’s about to. (Maybe: Tora enters office. I am still trying to figure out what happened with Tora's parents and how Vincent got ahold of him. Was he the child of an ex-mafia person? Did he go shopping for babies brooded by genetically blessed individuals? Excuse me, sir, but you've the face and body of a Greek god. I’m probably reading way too much into the posture here, but it looks aggressive. We’ve only seen Vincent a few times but he always had a relaxed posture even when he slit a guys throat. This posture seems angry. Did he find Goliath? Or find something out about Tora? Damnit I’m nervous!

I may be of the unpopular opinion, but I don't care how attractive he may be physically, he messes with the Poppy/Tora ship, I'm going to be out for blood. 😂😂 And like, how could he be so freaking heartless and lock up that sweet baby. Like I know he's suppose to be that character that we all love to hate, but at this point, I'm just kind of hating him. I'm a huge empath, so seeing the pain he causes to others kind of makes me not thrilled about him. I know, it's part of the story, but still. He's giving me really bad vibes.

I wonder if Martin’s boys have been tracking Tora’s movements since Claude had already accused him of withholding information about the notebook. Maybe they know that Tora has been hanging out with Poppy and reported it to Vincent? And he’s probably pissed cause he thinks Tora’s getting distracted and not putting forth his maximum effort to complete the appointed task. Orrrr Vincent is about to tell Tora his “vacation” is now officially over and it’s time to get back into the clan affairs. Maybe he’ll touch upon this Clan war we keep hearing is brewing and sends Tora on a mission.

I think I’ve truly hated Vincent ever since that one panel of him smiling down at a young, crying Tora. Like if I had any chance of finding a redeemable quality in him, it was completely shot after that. Can’t even see him as attractive when I know he was abusing a child.

SO I reread all of MPL today and I have a THEORY Early on, Tora gets arrested thanks to Goliath Tora knows Inspector Lane Lane calls Tora semi regularly Corrupt politicians with mafia ties are getting exposed (mentioned early) Tora’s been distant from clan life It’s pretty clear no one gets out of clan life alive, but Tora has explicitly mentioned how much he hates it, not to mention all the implied hatred and constant flashbacks to the cage and allusion yo Tora feeling trapped. Vince is pissy YALL Is Tora wrapped up in snitching to the police? Maybe a CI? What if Vincent found out? Or suspects? Is this Tora trying to maybe escape his mob life? Someone come put the conspiracy hat on with me here.
