Him sleeping low away from windows, being safe to not get shot at through the window. Her cooking for our sickly boy🥺 she's still upset at him for his attitude. So... If I told you I WASN'T an emotional mess after this chapter, would you believe it? Because if so, I've got a bridge to sell ya. 1. Opening the chapter up with nightmares? JFC I’m heart broken. Sick dreams are always so vivid and f*ed up and Tora? He’s got a lifetime of horrible, sick memories. “I found ya little runt” and “If he’s not broken yet…”? JESUS. That sets a pretty devastating tone right off the bat and I’m a mess. 2. There were some words that were missing a background that said something about him not remembering tying up his hair, and I have to wonder if Quincey did it for him and if it’s with a normal hair tie or the strawberry one… 3. Knee jerk reaction to reach for his gun. Another heartbreaking insight into Tora’s world. And while this is all killing me I’m loving that we finally get to see the romanticized part of his life. 4. Poppy being a fierce little tigress herself and then taking off her shoes? She so polite and considerate and PERFECT 5. Quincey as a Mafia wife. DEAD. He’s the perfect matchmaker/mother hen. Love him. Want him to be real so I can move in with him and be forever smiling! 6. So he feels safer sleeping on the floor (lack of a bed when he was young maybe, and just used to it/it feels more familiar that way?) and doesn’t like windows or high places. And after that nightmare? This is all starting to click… 7. Sexual innuendoes and thirst for DAYS!!! And I need that shit to help pull me out of all these heavy backstory hints. And Poppy's covering up Tora mimics his actions at the train station. So. Freaking. Cute. And that blush? He’s not immune. She’s not immune. WE CERTAINLY ARE NOT IMMUNE. Professional erotica beta reader my ass. That prepares you for NOTHING. 8. Seriously craving some congee now. Food and sex and pulling at my heart strings? This chapter is going to kill me. 9. Stuffing those feelings down because they had nowhere else to go? OOOFF girl I feel ya. I think we all do. It’s so easy to let unresolved anger or sadness eat at you, and I’m glad it was only for one day, and she didn’t even have to pull teeth because I swear Tora has more emotional awareness in his big finger then I have in my whole body! 10. I was very afraid this was going to go the opposite way. But boy if I'm glad all this happened. Quincey you're an angel for thinking ahead and actually encouraging Poppy to check on him. You sir, redeemed yourself. Proud of my Poppy for calling him out on keeping with the attitude and even prouder for checking out those muscles and that 🍆 Yass girl!!!! Quincey is an interesting character... He is very sensitive to Tora and Poppy sometimes... and totally clueless with mafia dangerous issues ... But he gave the perfect excuse to Poppy go after Tora without show that she was concerned about him... And at same time he did not let Poppy go to Toras apartment last episode because she could be afraid of his guns etc... And he brought her back to his live assigning the editor contract (not just because of Tora...because he really few embraced there) so Tora can not runaway from her easily . But if he is that sensitive to others feelings it means he really don't have a clue of how horrible mafia lifestyle can be... and how Poppy can suffer... But he knows how violent is Tora jobs... I don't get this... maybe Quincey really believes that Tora can handle... maybe he doesn't know how uncomfortable Tora feels about his dad and the mafia itself... Yet that's something really I cannot understand about Quincey.

Thank you Lily 🤗 Now lemme start off with saying I knew he was gonna apologize! And I’m glad he let her in his “space”. It’s obvious Poppy is attracted to Tora, but now it’s evident. And A+ for Quincy moving his “babies” out of sight. So what I’m glad about more than anything is the apology. I mentioned before that Tora might of felt awful for treating poppy the way he did after they had that long talk on the picnic about being treated badly about her boyfriend, and her self esteem taking a beating. At least we know Tora is man enough to know when he’s wrong. Also him trying to make her feel welcomed, even complimenting her food, and making little jokes with her. Definitely next chapter will continue the conversation....especially with those tears in those big brown eyes. I feel like of course poppy will accept his apology but now maybe she will have a bit of her guard up because she tends to give her all and always show her true honest self, and getting comfortable with individuals just to get her self esteem broken down again. Hopefully we get to hear what she says and tell him exactly how she feels, and this definitely will cause Tora to Show his vulnerable side to her. Hell maybe we will get to see him play his guitar 🎸 👀 Now now now.....back to Quincey making Poppy go to Tora’s place to cook dinner. What a guardian angel he is. Quincy really wants what’s best for Tora, even making sure he eats and knowing with the help of Poppy....knowing Tora will eat anything Poppy gives him...☺️ Also I feel sad for Tora he’s been through abuse guys! Like mental and physical abuse, breaking him and he tends to flash back to those moments often. Even preference of sleeping on the floor instead of his bed? Away from windows? I know he’s a gunman and Tigres if Ares street, but shit it’s more than him just protecting himself from enemies...it’s him protect himself from his terrible and ruined childhood. Tora has a lot of healing he needs to go through and I’m excited to see that journey and doing that along with trying to be closer to poppy and keeping his mafia life away. Whenever I eat it, nostalgia sets in- when times were easier, when I would be taken care of by someone who loves me. It literally brings emotional and physical warmth. I AM CRYING NOW WTF!!! Goddamn it. Lola has said this before- FOOD is a love language, I can definitely attest to that. I love Tora apologising for specific things and I love that he let her in is space, but I have SO MUCH appreciation for Poppy and Lilydusk??? I love everything that happens in this series but I will never get over Lily's commitment to making Poppy a multidimensional character. Poppy doesn't show up and immediately rush in to coddle him and forgive him just because he's sick. She's there because she cares (and because Quincey 🤣) but she's also hurt and confused and mad and torn between wanting to be there vs wanting to be far away. We stan a goddess author who gives her heroines complex emotional range and SKIRTS with POCKETS Also Poppy's obvious hurt just makes Tora's apologies that much more important/good. Their emotional honesty and connection is so strong even when things aren't good between them

Thank you Lily and team for pushing out this episode no matter how late! I am SO glad you didn't have your MC's dance around those lingering thoughts that soon bottle up and burst. Miscommunication is not an attractive feat and I admire stories that don't utilize that as a cheap plot device to prolong chapters or a particular arc. You make Tora more of a man with each passing episode especially by his ability to own up to his actions even if Poppy didn't want to bring them up herself. Let's admit it, Poppy exudes JUST as much eye candy as Tora does, in their own way obviously. But I love that you give an extra dash of fan service that think the thoughts Poppy is thinking 😂 What I might theorize from this episode? I have no clue. Quincey might unknowingly bring her into danger Tora is clearly aware of or Quincey might be feigning ignorance? I shall read what the other detectives here in this thread have 😁 BUT what I hope for in the next episode is another intimate moment; be it a warm embrace, a pat on the head, kiss on the cheek, or seeing Poppy tuck Tora into bed 😍😂 I love how calm Tora is, how sad and hurt Poppy feels and how Tora can read that almost instantly (even though she can easily be read). You know I thought I was gonna be a bit antsy cause the episode was shorter than what I wanted it to be but then when Tora started apologizing my heart melted! This is character development because I don’t think Tora has ever apologize for much in his life. He’s always been the “bad” guy who goes around hurting people when ordered to. So he’s never had a problem hurting anyone’s feelings. But with Poppy it’s different. He’s more vulnerable and open to her. Also he’s very considerate of her feelings which is a very great quality to desire in a partner. Obviously he took time to reflect on what happened and realized his faults which is what a real man does! On another note the sexual innuendos and tension in that small room was cut throat. Clearly they both want each other. When Tora was at Poppy’s house and she was in her “comfortable” clothes, he was checking her out. Now the scene is reversed and Tora can’t help but tease her about it🤪! It’s really interesting how he catches on quickly to Poppy and also I think he gets a kick out of teasing her! Again Lily thank you so much for putting out this episode. Honestly it’s enough to get me through the week! Thank you for your hard work and amazing story!!😘

This episode is a great example of why I love it when the episodes are late. The longer the wait, the more amazing the payoff. Gorgeous. There’s so much in this episode, but my thoughts kept going to matchmaker extraordinare Quincey. Did he reach out to Poppy, and then agree to their ongoing business relationship purely to get these two together? There’s a saying where I live, “leave your tracks around.” Quincey’s tracks are everywhere here. To recap, he called Poppy to go to the catastrophic dinner. He signed the contract. He was going to entice her up to Tora’s apartment, but decided he had to hide the guns first. He sent her to MAKE FOOD for sick Tora as her first duty as his editor, after cleaning up Tora’s apartment and fixing his hair to look presentable. Wouldn’t be surprised if he picked out Tora’s outfit when he brought him up. I’m amazed how the story has moved from a love triangle to this super creative and balanced narrative place where Quincey the author has taken it upon himself to write another erotica, this one starring his bodyguard and now editor. Brilliant. There’s so so much here. I want to know about the swishing sounds in his nightmare. The precautions he takes all make total sense. Does he jerk her inside because he must have her or because he doesn’t want outside eyes to see her at his door? The humor and flirting of him with his sexy talk and sending her to his bed, lol. Also pretty sure that’s the first panel with all three Quincey’s Angels in one frame. Happy feels! I love the thunder and rain which I read as an external reflection of what was going on in Poppy’s heart, the sadness and the emotional struggle she described. But this storm passed quickly, shown by the gentle patter sounds and the light through the kitchen window, just as her anger and resentment passed quickly when Tora connected with her. Also, it was a change to see the visual of Tora sitting in front of a green, growing tree. Usually his backgrounds are bars or grids, something penning him in. It made the kitchen scene so—harmonious. If the backgrounds hold as metaphors for the character’s internal landscape, then there’s something alive and growing that has been planted, or released, inside Tora. Happy feels! I love the comments on the epic man meat panels, and I totally agree. But I also love the juxtapositions of their two figures throughout. My first favorite is the one right after her shoes. He’s looking in the corner and she’s looking away. They are separated, opposite. The big dramatic panel is where she finally turns to face him. She wraps him (very intimate move) and runs away. He follows. In the kitchen, she stands apart and even when she sits doesn’t face him or connect with him. The storytelling is all in the figures, the angles. You don’t need the dialogue to follow what’s going on between them. My second favorite panel is the “Quincey says you’re lazy” panel. Us watching him, watching her, the frame slightly off balance. There’s just something so perfect in that composition. Finally, when he apologizes, from the frame after the food close up, everything is straight up and down, with two exceptions. When he first apologizes, everything tilts. Then straightens again, until the world tilts again in the penultimate panel when he says his most intense emotional line. Like before, but this time zoomed in to heighten and underscore him trying to communicate with her. His emotional intelligence is crazy, but so is Lily’s visual storytelling. Drop dead gorgeous, flawless in execution and effectiveness. I think that abstract painting Poppy did would look really nice hanging in his kitchen. Now I need to go make some congee.

Tora did not disappoint with those sly dirty jokes... Even more interesting that Tora isn’t looking in her direction either- like they both know that the editor thing isn’t the elephant in the room, but neither of them are ready to address it. 🧐🧐 So I feel like the dark entrance to Tora’s apartment is the pretense and avoidance theme for the episode (more later on how this shifts again). OMG, the comic relief of this Quincey and Gyu panel was too much! 🤣🤣🤣  First off, Quincey- do you even know how to clean a weapon? Second, not only does Quincey know where all those babies are hidden, but he ropes Gyu into this? Each meal they share, they learn a bit more about each other and share some uncomfortable truths. 💜💜💜 And poor Pops, she just doesn’t know how to get the words out to say what she’s thinking here. 😔 Talk about the lasting impact of gaslighting- it’s a hard place to be. Does she bring it up? Does she stuff it down and ignore it? Is it even worth it? So many questions I’m sure are reeling through her mind. 😔 We see Poppy chooses to shut down here, rather than engage in the discomfort. But it makes sense given that she barely knows Tora and isn’t sure if it’s worth the risk to be vulnerable with him- especially given how he treated her the night before. But I love that Tora doesn’t let her off the hook here. He knows she’s stuffing her emotions (takes one to know one, lemme tell ya). Friendly PSA ladies and gentlemen - emotion stuffing never works in the long run. It always comes out and unfortunately at the people you care about the most. I love that Poppy has some insight about this...emotions that have nowhere to go are so hard to let go of. They fester like a wound that was never cleaned out properly. No wonder she’s always on the verge of bursting into tears. 🥺🥺 And man, does Poppy ever have that thousand yard stare. I feel like she’s trying so hard to keep her composure here and maybe going to a place in her mind that isn’t so painful. Because we know how much what Quiney told her hurt.   Okay, so I knew he was getting around to apologizing, but what is it about the line Tora says “And for makin’ ya feel like you weren’t wanted” that hurts so bad? 😭😭😭 OUCH, that was a hot fucking poker in my soul. Don’t worry, I’m already crying for you, Poppy! I adore Tora for knowing exactly where he went wrong and most importantly OWNED it without trying to make excuses. Has anyone mentioned yet her internal realisation that he actually plays the guitar? It's almost as though she's realising that yes, he never lied to her. On Regina's Peak, he told her that everything he had been able to say to her was true. It'll hopefully help her realise that Quincey's verbal diarrhoea at the meal was to cover up Tora honestly stating he's in the Mafia. This chapter had me on a rollercoaster of emotions. Amazing work @lilydusk all the little details made the chapter even better. Not sure if they are pipes near the high window in Tora's living room but they kinda look like the bars of the basement/cellar Vincent put Tora in to punish him. Which probably remind him constantly of his hatred for Vincent and isolation he felt, likely consumed by his own thoughts (chapter 5 and chapter 33). Seems like Tora chose a place specifically with high small windows which allow less light in. Tora needs loads of hugs and cuddles. Its just heartbreaking that he finds a weird sense of comfort in being curled up on the floor of his living room with little light coming into the dark room instead of sleeping on his bed. Tora's fear that someone has found his location when he cannot see in this camera who is at his door his automatic reaction is to get his gun. He must have had to re-locate so often just so no-one can track him and so his reaction to quickly pulling Poppy into his flat and shutting the door makes sense as he's worried about her safety if anyone sees her outside his flat. The most powerful moment was him opening his world up to Poppy as so far we had only seen parts of his living room and the bathroom of his flat so felt like how poppy was only getting a very small peak into his dangerous world but he opens his world to her more by allowing her into his personal space, inside his flat. The fact that his dark miserable flat then brightens once Poppy enters as you see the difference in the lighting and window in the Kitchen which is bigger and brighter and Tora seems to be in awe seeing Poppy cooking for him. As he never cooks for himself so hardly goes into his kitchen into the light and prefers to stay in his dark living room. Quincey seems very accustomed to all of the weapons in Tora's flat to be able to just clean them so casually whereas poor Gyu doesn't want to touch it, bless him. Just a guess but this may have something to do with the him owing Tora and Quincey (Chapter 15) - can't wait to find out his full back story. @lilydisk i'm really curious about what Tora was going to say when he half finished his sentence before poppy cut him off "or are you feelin' aroused by m-" lol And how many times or how often has Tora changed flats?

I’ll spend my morning reading everyone’s thoughts over coffee, so sorry if I repeat a bunch of what’s already been said. With that, this chapter was soo good!! I mean they are all good, but I loved Tora and Poopy’s dynamic here. My heart really went out to Poppy during this one. From the moment he answers the door, she’s automatically defensive and all her hurt and anger from the prior night resurfaces. Also, thank you Poppy for being stubborn enough to demand that he talk to you in the way you want to be treated and being prepared to not leave until he do so! I also noticed that Poppy acknowledges Tora is in the mafia while thinking to herself. Thank goodness she didn’t believe Quincey! I’m sure it hurt Tora to see her physically distant from him and emotionally distant. All her walls are up, but he slowly starts to break them down, one sorry at a time. Come on Pops, you don’t have to hold it all in, it’s okay to cry, it’s also okay to tell that man how you’re feeling about everything! About caring for him, about his shitty behavior, about him being in the Mafia. I truly can’t wait to hear her response to Tora’s heartfelt apology. Other thoughts: -I asked in the sneak preview how many people actually visit Tora, what do you all think? We see Quincey and Gyu cleaning in the flashback but who else comes by, especially unannounced. -In regards to Tora’s dream, I wonder what the situation was... was he being tortured, and who was present.? -Poppy insists she’s there solely because Quincey made her but I feel like that’s not true, at least not 100% true. Girl you’re there to see your man! -Lily thank you for the bits of comedy, it really helped cut the tension lol. Hello sexual tension and anger. -I am so glad we got to see more of Tora’s apt. I’ve been wondering forever if he only had a 1 room studio or if there was more to it! With his fear of being exposed to open windows, it makes sense he’d spend majority of his time in the most closed off space.

Ok ok. This episode was EVERYTHING I hoped for! But....😏 Time to start the extreme sport of wrongly guessing, cause we need to stay busy until Friday night 😂 1. Poppy will burst out in tears and Tora is going to pull her towards him, securing her in a big tender bear hug while wrapping them with the blanket, rocking back and forward in an attempt to calm her. This will lead to that deep heart to heart conversation, cause they both need to take it out of their chests. 2. Poppy will burst out in tears, again 😂, and he'll be the one to kiss that sadness and worries away. No pushing anybody down the stairs this time. This will also lead to the heart to heart conversation cause they have just scraped the top of the iceberg. 3. Poppy starts crying he takes her hand and leads her towards the livingroom, she sits in the couch, him on the floor between her legs playing the guitar for her while she brushes his hair. Dani, my angel, I can only hope! 4. Fucking dick Vincent will interrupt once more and thus the heart to heart conversation will not happen 😤 5. Poppy gets hungry and Tora offers to take her home and buy food for her on the way while joking about the way she drives. 5. Other or Non of the above. A lot to unpack in this episode, we get some insights into Tora’s life, and most importantly their relationship is progressing. Tora waking up from his nightmare – of course, the boy has nightmares, of course, he sleeps on the floor, not only out of fear of unseen snipers (takes one to know one) but maybe because this is what he is used to? How many nights has he slept in that cage without a bed? How was he treated then and throughout his childhood? Are these nightmares about things he endured at the hands of Vincent’s goons or are they about things he was obliged to do in his line of work? They could be either one, IMO. I still remember the talk he had with Gyu telling him he’s tortured people into finding out information more times than he cared to admit. Tora reaching automatically for the gun beside the door, until he sees Poppy – another glimpse into his habits. Also, it means that probably he does not have visitors besides Quincey and Gyu, therefore any stranger is a potential threat. Poppy finally enters his home! I noticed again the role reversal as opposed to the balcony episodes – Tora was wondering how carefree Poppy’s life could be, if there was another way for him to live and now Poppy is acknowledging the fact that maybe that’s what life is like for people in the mafia. The same sadness painted on their faces when they both realize how different their lives are. Quincess mafia wife gives me life and much-needed laughter, he has some skills knowing how to clean a gun, which brings again the question: given that his nature is gentle and he is squeamish around blood, how much time has he spent around guns and what did he do with them? Poppy noticing the guitar and therefore the fact that he was telling her the truth all along, backed by her statement of him being in the mafia – all that leads us to believe that Poppy saw right through Quincey’s lies and she needed the time to adjust and trust herself into confronting Tora on his behavior the night before. I love how Lily sets the mood through rain and I feel that this is important for the next episodes - a lot can happen in the rain, romantically or not. We had a sunset kiss, could we have a rain one too? Also the symbolism – the rain washes the air, the earth, the skies, it’s a symbol for renewal and change. So maybe it will disperse the tension between them, like a clean slate, allowing them to start again, to mend, to change into an honest relationship, all cards on the table this time. Poppy is letting Tora know that she will work with Quincey and this time there is no doubt, no backlash, it is a fact. So this is a start. Interrupting this pseudo psychologic program to bring to you this special edition: Behold the piece of meat, ladies and gentlemen! No, I’m not sorry I spent over half an hour staring at the panels where poor Tora is so scantily clad ahem ahem *coughs in thirsty ho*. You name it as you see it, Poppy, no shame there. Also bedroom first, dinner later girl! Tora was not really hungry...for food. The amused look on his face after she darted out of the bedroom – that little smile and little laughs Pff pff warmed up the whole episode. Okay, back to the mopey version of myself – I cried. Internally. A lot. Because a man who knows how to apologize, owning it, and saying just the right words is Goals. And yes, real life is ruined forever. I’ll go wrap myself in blankets, endlessly scrolling through MPL episodes and Lily’s Patreon. I related to Poppy in internalizing the anger and not letting out how I feel – which she usually does, but now maybe she is unsure of Tora’s feelings and does not want to be heartbroken again – plus the time spent doubting herself because of that a-hole Julri. Yes girl, because that emotion had nowhere to go and you did not talk it out, it lingers making you sick. The fact that Tora picked up on that and offers her what she needed the most is what makes him more attractive than anything (if that is even possible). Again the rain on the kitchen windows. Right, guys, now hug, kiss and make up, because I can feel the beautiful chemistry you have there. Until next time, rain rain please be gentle with our hearts!

I laughed when I was oggling Tora like a piece of meat in that one frame and then Poppy started breaking down shots of him - chest, crotch - and was like, "He's not a piece of meat!" hahahaha. In Tora's dream/memory he's referred to as a little runt. Making me think that it's in reference to when he was the same age as the locked in a cage memory because in his other flashbacks he's a head taller than everyone else. Poor baby Tora, you know that situation would be terrifying for and adult, but for a young child? That had to amplify all his fears x 1000. Sitting up- thank you to everyone who commented about the hair comment, I had to go back and find it, because I completely missed it. Also, with this as the thumbnail, and only seeing his arm up and the sniff sniff, I had to do a double take because my first response was that he was checking his pits for B.O. 🤣 and I know that's not right. Poppy at the door and Tora feeling for his gun/weapon/murder baby. At the end of the last episode, I would say that he was surprised to see her, but seeing it from his angle with the drop of his hand, I think there was also an element of him being upset realizing he almost pulled a weapon on Poppy. Poppy's continuous "badumps." I could feel her heart racing this whole chapter. She's come prepared to stand her ground and deal with whatever side of Tora he's going to throw at her, while also knowing that she's attracted to him and that he's confirmed that he's dangerous. I love how proactive she is about getting the air cleared between them. Then Tora, who's literally disarmed, pulls her in, figuratively disarming Poppy by telling her that she's welcome and to make herself at home. The thought that Quincey has put into this, Tora's apartment was off limits last night, so he made sure to make it Poppy ready before his meeting with her. Then giving her Intel on Tora's sleeping habits and making it an actual task, he is not ready to throw in the towel on these two. Quincey's resume continues to grow: author, volunteer at a teen center, love expert, mafia heir, supreme meddler/matchmaker and now mafia wife. Initially I thought Gyu was there just because Quincey drug him along into his scheme, but on second thought he says he's just there to keep watch, not over Quincey but was he there so that Tora could actually rest peacefully knowing that somebody has his back? 😭 Why do you do this to my heart, Lily? Poppy taking in Tora's apartment and him being somewhat defensive and diffusing it with humor. Poppy openly ogling her man, and Tora appreciating it. The look on his face when she comes out of his bedroom, you know he's looking forward to having her in there again with him. Avoiding talking about Gudrun's. Poppy allowing all those feelings of self doubt to creep back in and distancing herself mentally from the situation. Tora trying to connect with her, first by motioning for her to sit, bringing her close, then complementing the food. Poppy has checked out emotionally and he knows he needs to acknowledge his out of line behavior. That heartfelt apology though. I have the feeling he's not used to apologising and he knocked it out of the park. The symbolism of rain, washing away all the dirt and giving them a clean start. ❤️ Theories because I love being wrong: I have said before and I'll say it again, I want Tora to get to a point where he can give and receive hugs comfortably. As much as I'd love some kissing, I'm hoping for at least hand holding or hugging coming up. The rain, infrequent buses to Poppy's and a sick Tora makes me think that Poppy might get stuck at his place for a while. Maybe Poppy will use that bed 👀.

All right, chapter 46 starts with Tora having a nightmare I assume reliving some of his traumatic childhood. I wonder if it is from the flashback we’ve seen where it seems Vincent locked him in a storm drain for a weekend. I wonder if Vincent is back from the beach and has sent one of his goons into the storm drain(hence the swish of the man walking through the water?) to get Tora and beat him up to make sure the experience has thoroughly broken him down not just physically but mentally and emotionally. Vincent eradicating all hope Tora had of escape or a normal life so he is now pliable for the mafia’s needs. Thankfully Poppy shows up to wrestle him from that undoubtedly fitful slumber, in his sickly state. I’m surprised Tora opens the door with no weapon and without being able to fully see who is at his door, the sickness seems to have him slipping on many levels. We see that wall of pretense and pleasantry seems to still be down between them. Poppy basically has to invite herself in, but I do think him spiriting her through the door does have to do with the fear of her being seen there (once he he recovers from the shock of her being there at all). It’s funny to see his place after the crap he talked about how bad her apartment was, we all assume he can afford better but maybe doesn’t feel worthy of better. Poppy is sometimes demeaning towards him and a I felt a little of that when she asks “is this your bed” I felt like she deserved his smart remark like “uh duh, beds are in bedrooms” lol. So cute how she says he is scantily clad and covers him up, I feel this is another moment where the walls are down and he doesn’t pretend that he doesn’t know what that means. I hate when he plays dumb and when she assumes things about him. I am totally with Poppy in the scantily clad thoughts. I wish he would have taken the joke a step or two further and followed her into the bedroom and closed the the door behind him. So sweet to see her cooking for him, caring for him, being in this intimate space alone in his home, probably a place only Gyu and Quincy visit. Also, clearly he owns pots and pans so he must cook sometimes. I wish Lily had given us a glimpse of his bedroom. Poppy’s face when I guess she is trying to give him an opportunity to apologize for the prior night is heartbreaking, I wasn’t expecting her to be that vulnerable in front of him. I am glad Tora takes the opportunity to apologize again and set the record straight. It is so funny that Tora stays shroud in the blanket after Poppy puts it on him, I guess he doesn’t want to tempt her, lol. It would be hilarious if he’d thrown off the blanket and announced he was hot and taken off his top as well. I’m just all for Tora behaving so inappropriately. I am now desperate for Tora to ask Poppy to play a video game with him when he is done eating! Desperate I tell you!

I just got some really exciting news, right after this chapter released.. so my brain and emotions are completely out of this universe right now. I love how Quincey has gone full Mama-San this episode with his respectful gun cleaning position and his improved matchmaking skills. Also love Gyu’s sibling-type reaction to Quincey’s antics, like no way bro I’m not getting in trouble with big bro Tora for touching his stuff. It was refreshing reading Poppy’s inner thoughts, since we’ve only been seeing things from Quincey’s perspective these past few episodes. And damn Poppy if you weren’t thinking what all of us readers were thinking. I think that there’s been so much happening in her life these past two weeks that this is kind of the first time she’s finally taken a second to really take a good close look at Tora. She finally is acknowledging that Tora is very attractive.. and it affects her hehe. As always, Poppy is so relatable. I have to say that I’m really surprised at Tora’s apologies. It takes a lot to say sorry, especially for someone that isn’t even used to telling people “you’re welcome.” He really cares about the way that Poppy sees him. I love that Tora is trying to be open/transparent with her, the way that he admired the way that she was open with him. This Webtoon continues to fill my heart with so much joy, happiness and excitement. I really appreciate all the hard work you do Lilydusk! Thanks for sharing your magic with us every week! ❤️

I'd like to point out something striking about how healthy romantic relationships are formed, following one having a dysfunctional family background. Tora did not have anyone to teach him social conventions (until Poppy mentions Please/ Thank you/ You're welcome + when Mr. Lam comments that Tora should have dignity for himself in any circumstance at the airport). Tora performs an emotionally difficult act in apologizing with sincerity and without excuses. Who taught him that amount of self awareness? Possibly, Granny and Joe? For a child raised in abuse, they don't feel safe around most people or put up tons of defensive mechanisms meant to keep people away. Tora is doing his best here to be emotionally open, honest and not to act out in anger. It takes a lot of internal strength & awareness to conduct a healthy relationship when your formative years have shown nothing but dysfunction/ verbal & physical abuse/ alcohol addiction (Vincent's). There are so many adults who carry their childhood defense mechanisms into their relationships, especially when a parent was neglectful and the child raised themself basically. In those relationships, there's a lack of security and trust and causes an inability to be vulnerable with others... yet here Tora shows such openness. I'm curious about how he learned to be that way when everyone else showed him a life lived in opposition to this.

They convey so much emotion, that we don't even need to read the words to know what the characters are thinking and feeling. I have not seen this kind of skill in any other webtoon. Never change, you are an absolute wonder!

Man, this episode made me feel all the feels 😫😢🤣😍🥰😂😢😲 <- a live feed of my emotions while reading. I was dropping on the floor cackling 😂(DOTFCing? That’s definitely a thing the kids are saying these days, right?) through most of it. That one frame of lil BB Tora snoozing while Quincey has gone into full “mafia wife” mode with his little Cinderella-esque bandana on his head & whistling while he works?! And poor, long-suffering Gyu. I DIE 😂 Then, Poppy becoming *awakened* by Tora in his tank top and joggers. 🍆😏 THEN, when Tora directed Poppy into the wrong room & she was SO flustered!! And it felt like their normal, teasing banter! Ugh!! Adorable!! 😩💙 In all seriousness though, Tora can act all big and bad, but I love how he’s NEVER shy about wanting Poppy’s company & having her near him (well, usually never. There was the restaurant tantrum...). Yeeting her into is apartment? ✅ Tapping the chair next to him? ✅ Grabbing onto & holding her hand? ✅ (in previous eps, obvi) He may not be the most verbally expressive guy (except later in the ep. - MY GAWD 😭❤️), but he makes it known that he prefers her company. It kinda reminds me of a young, innocent love in a way. Like, you may not fully know what this feeling is, but you know you’re happy when they’re there & you want to be around them all the time ❤️

I really like how Poppy was being stubborn at the beginning like I'm not gonna move. Or I'm not leaving. I thought it was adorable. We really get to see how tattooed up Tora is tho. They do be everywhere obviously as a patron, I knew that before but to see it in an episode was 👌🤤 it makes me wonder why Tora prefers a couch over a bed. Does he feel like he doesnt deserve one? 🤷‍♀️
