**Update: When Poppy said "but the one before that was nice," she's referring to the kiss they had. This chapter was really cute, hahaha. I love how they’re still able to banter back and forth despite being in a dangerous area. Or rather, that Poppy is still able to banter (or that Tora’s presence makes her feel safe enough to banter.... 🤔). And Tora cursing at himself for talking Mafia in front of his little hamster. Am I missing something when Poppy says “the one before that was nice?” What is she referring to? His joke about their days being numbered? That part was just a little unclear to me, but Tora’s “No shit” gave me some heart flutters so, it’s all good. Also, that teeny tiny blush on his face when Poppy turns back to him and says “show you...?” His face looks so beautiful but that BLUSH. Ack. My heart. This episode was so fantastic! It’s so interesting watching the power dynamic between Poppy and Tora. I’m curious as to how long he’s going to be able to hold out on trying to go further with Poppy when she’s in denial whilst sober, yet her asshoe-ery very much asserts herself while under the influence 🤣 I’m so entertained by squirmy Tora and his attempts at self-control. But did Poppy book it out of there so fast because she was freaked out/panicked from being chased and the gunshots? Was she immediately calling a taxi because she was like, “this is too much!”? Because Tora wanted their night to go on - he wanted to teach her pool and have a Thuglife 101 class with her and she just called the taxi and barely gave him a chance to say goodbye. I felt so bad when he went chasing after her and she wouldn’t pick up his call, initially. I don’t think he’ll have a smile on his face when he goes to sleep tonight.

I’m inclined to think it’s that last one myself, but just making sure.

Well, now we know what Tora’s profession should be if he ever gets out of the clan: professional billiard player! Didn’t see that one coming, but it makes total sense, I mean I heard he can do magnificent things with that stick! *snort Joking aside I just love no-filter-Poppy and blushing-Tora! It’s like the roles are reversed and they fit so well in each other’s shoes! Perfect match. Most of our questions were answered, we learned that Poppy’s cuteness brushed off on Tora (why be moody when you can shake your booty, sorry, ya ass - on indie pop no less!) and Tora’s innuendos did not pass by Poppy unnoticed, therefore she made a perfectly good impression of our Tiger, even throwing out curse words (“don’t wanna fall on my f*ckin’ face”). Tora’s introverted side is showing at the beginning when he just realized he’s way too comfortable talking with Poppy about mafia business and quickly searches for a new topic, I felt the awkwardness there. For a moment I didn’t understand what Poppy was referring to with “but the one before that was kinda nice” line, but then after taking in the blush on her face and the grin on his, along with that smoldering look, well… she was referring about the kiss, how could she not? But ultimately she runs away again, can’t blame her, after the day/night she was having, too much adrenaline and mixed emotions and now Tora called her on her teasing from the night before... It’s okay, Pops, take your time to figure it out. I like how they are tracing boundaries with each other, only to push past them with the first chance they got. Poppy not ready to commit to a new relationship, but driven by alcohol and the comfort she feels around him, starts with the sexual innuendos, teasing him mercilessly, reaches out to kiss him on the alley and yeah…”it was nice”. Oh, Poppy! Tora on the other hand goes “I don’t have anything to offer her or take from her”, accepts her terms, wants to shelter her, but lets his guard down every frickin time around her, starts telling her about “numbered” people, then blushes like a schoolgirl proposing her to “show ya…”. I love them both so much and it’s thrilling to see how they manage to set themselves into each other’s minds. On the theory side, I think the brooch and Ben/Candy arc is done, served their purpose in the story. I believe we will see more of Quincey pretty soon and possibly Goliath, and not to forget that notebook that is in Gil’s hands at the moment. We have Poppy and Tora who got acquainted with each other’s worlds, now I sense there will be a challenge for them to overcome together, but only time and the gamemaster Lily will tell.

So we’re back with a another episode, where it’s carrying on with the alleyway scene. Where we left off the last one with the cops chasing after a dude in Ares Street. And we’re back with Tora saying about the ‘numbered’ which I found really funny! I know he looked all dark and as thought there was some serious meaning behind that last scene. But seeing him smirking to himself in the moment, oblivious to how Poppy was half listening, half losing her mind a little, had me giggling. He looks like a total badass and I admittedly have struggled to keep my head on straight while reading this part because WOW! He sure dominates with all those muscles and heat. 😩 I mean he really has got no idea that she’s even paying him so little attention but that little tiny smirk on his face is so funny. And then we see Poppy’s expression and he FINALLY clues in he’s said too much...🤦🏻‍♀️😂 Poor Poppy looks totally speechless and I know I shouldn’t laugh, but it sure took the edge off the moment! It’s kinda sweet how he’s trying to sort of bring her into his world a tiny bit which she has had a small taste of this evening. But I think he just kind of got a bit ahead of himself and didn’t really think about what he was doing. Relatable calling him self a giant fuck wit. Who hasn’t read the room wrong on occasion? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Bless him trying to be quick to change the subject; it was awkward as hell, which we’re seeing more and more of with him around Poppy. And that is making my romantic angst yet heart rejoice! I like seeing him all bad puns and jokes, even if it’s at his own expense. He might be damn fine to look at, but it’s fun to watch him squirm. And hey at least his jokes made Poppy laugh! 😍 I really liked that Poppy had acknowledged that the joke before that was kind of nice, meaning the kiss. She’s letting her guard down bit by tiny bit with him and I’m sighing with happiness. Baby steps! We love those baby steps. And now knowing this was the night after their super hot kiss sess and they’ve already had another one? Mind. Blown! I wasn’t expecting it to be so quick but zero complaints here because we obviously want to see progression with them however slow that is. ❤️ I kind of wished Tora had taken Poppy down to the gaming centre and shown her how good his pool game is. 😉 I think that was a half and half with him too; yes there was innuendo there, but I feel like maybe he really did want her to stick around a little. Whooo boy though, could Poppy blush any harder then she is bless her heart!! Even Tora was blushing a tiny bit when she didn’t clue in at first. But damn can that girl go red! Who else can relate to being someone who blushes really easily? I know I sure do. What is this secret Poppy is keeping safe? Has anyone got any theories? Because I thought we cleared up what it was when we were left with a cliffhanger at the end of season 1. But I feel like there’s something more to this one and I want to hear all the ideas! Erm excuse me ninja Poppy, how did she give Tora the slip so easily? Teach me your ways! This mum needs tricks and tips. 🤣 I kind of felt his panic a little bit as he was running around Ares Street looking for her. There he goes telling her off for going there alone, finds her running from some thugs for reasons he still doesn’t know and then she goes and disappears on it! Poor guys needs a break. 😂 Giving him a run for his money! Now I already mentioned about this being the night after the party but whose else’s mind was blown it is? I thought it would been at least a week or two. But zero complaints here I love that it was so soon and that we got a flashback to what was said on that piggyback ride. Erdene saw him dancing around the office? I need to see that in animation or fan art or something (!!) I don’t know what. I just know I need to see it. Badly. That was not what I thought she had caught him doing. And Poppy being the best hype girl telling him to own it King? Absolutely made my day!! Drunk Poppy talk is so much fun! Brought back some good memories of the rare nights I would get totally trollied and just talk absolute shit the whole way home. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Watching that interaction between them was bliss. Pure happy bliss! I think Damian is going to be in for a world of hurt for more than one reason come Monday with his training. 😉 I am applauding him for telling Poppy to have Tora what he can do with that stick. *howls with laughter!!* Considering he thinks he’s gay that was some serious wing man help he was giving him there. I hope we get to see a Tora blush that hard again soon! There is nothing more entertaining than seeing him get so flustered over something like that. I love that she calls him a cutie patootie. And I’m not going to touch on Poppy saying about being a virgin because I don’t see the big deal at all. But Tori’s reaction to his own status was so funny! They have been so many times in this episode where I have laughed so hard and this whole flashback sequence has cheered me up so much. Poppy definitely just asked if she could bite his ears didn’t she? 😏 This girl is going to be a contender for this tiger. And I cannot wait! No wonder he stumbled it seems so unassuming at the end of the last season. But seeing how much actually went on is making me so ridiculously giddy right now. So much fuel for my imagination! And she starts mimicking him, she is so feisty. 😂 Drunk Poppy is the one. He looks so stressed and flustered by the time he gets her in that taxi! “Before ya what?” F**king A, Pops!! She really was playing with fire wasn’t she? 🥳 I am immensely enjoying watching her tease him. Other than Quincy’s attempts to tease him I can’t imagine anyone else being able to. Oh, definitely Alice! I’m sure they’re it for getting under his skin like this. It’s refreshing. And I only had a tiny bit of secondhand embarrassment for Poppy with what happened while she was drunk. Young and free! Enjoy it kids! Of course Tora isn’t going to pretend he didn’t remember; he loves to tease her just as much she does him. I wonder how much hurt Brian is in for as well, come Monday. 🤣 And then we come back down from that high with a bit of a bump. 😩 It breaks my heart every time I look at that part of the Tora asleep on the floor, he looks so vulnerable it’s really unsettling. He curls himself up so protectively, and his feet poking out...mama bear in me wants to pile loads of pillows and duvets around him and great a fort or something around/over him. The only thing that took the edge off that scene was him trying to talk normal as he recalled her imitating him. I love the way he talks and I’m sure Poppy does too a little. 😉 We see you Tora, letting your mind go to gutter places! Before literally being pulled out of it with a thump. But what was the cause? Dun dun dun! So to summarise that was one hell of a hilarious episode!! I really enjoyed the flashbacks to what happened after the party. This basically revolved around how much can Lily make Tora appear awkward and embarrassed! 😂 I’m sure he’ll get his own back at some point on Poppy. But it was fun to watch the banter between them. And as always the artwork was phenomenal! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve just scrolled along ignoring the text and just taking in every little detail. Bowing down to the Queen that is Lily!

I really needed the laugh in this episode . I loved drunk Poppy : “DOES IT INVOLVE YA STICK!!?”. I also love how Tora is basically like “Remember, I’m only joking (about hinting at sex) unless you aren’t” and is probably always at the ready. But on a slightly more serious note it was refreshing seeing Poopy be more forward and confident even if it was via liquid courage while Tora was more on the bashful side. It’s getting harder for them to dodge around the fact that they want each in a serious way. In the mean time Tora is waiting for Poppy to give the go-ahead for casual no-strings- attached-sex while Poppy seems to want to wait until there ARE (once she finally decides if she’s ready for another commitment) strings attached and there’s actual feelings involved.

Anybody else notice that in the "...so if ya still want me to show ya..." scene Tora is missing his feet? It does not really show up on a phone screen because it is small and dark but I was re-reading it again for like the 5th time (I love this episode so much!) and happened to be on a PC with a bigger screen this time around and was like "oh no, Tora has no feet." I know it is just an oversight but it cracked me up. I wonder if Lily can edit it to give him his feet. NGL though, I would take Tora even without feet. 😂
