Hey loves, it's been a while <3 Today's episode will drop in an hours time, but I'm posting this discussion thread early to let y'all know there is an episode coming out today lol. I'm still alive, but have been in hardcore get-shit-done mode all week and making sure I'm able to always produce MPL episodes to the best of my abilities. LILY!!!! Yet again I am amazed at this chapter! There is so much to talk about 😩. Tora and Pinky with dark circles is hilarious! And then the matching T-Shirts 😂. Gotta love Pinky for that. I love that Poppy still gets nervous when she initiates a Kiss between them, yet she also lets them both know to ignore the people in Moonbright for being so judgmental on how they look! Plus her throwing shade was the best part of this whole episode! I love watching their relationship grow with each episode. The last few panels were absolutely perfect. Tora was not afraid to show off his tattoos and poppy wearing a fitting dress showing her curves 😫!! I love everything about this.

My guess is that she's overwhelmed by how intensely attracted she is to him. She wants him physically, as well as emotionally, but there are so many obstacles to cross such as her virginity and his involvement in the mafia. Plus that conversation she had with Mrs. Nelson likely put it in her head that Tora is going to get frustrated with her if they keep getting worked up to go nowhere like they have been. So she's been ghosting him the last few days in order to get her head on straight and also because she has some commitment issues that have been established. She's probably scared of how much she wants him and needs the space from him to see everything clearly

Glad you’re back Lily and team. 💜💜💜 Poppy’s sudden cheek kiss and hand grab catching Tora off guard, her being close to exhaustion/tears at him and Pinky staying out all day for her, Tora watching Poppy through the rearview mirror…gahhh all these little actions that speak volumes.🥺 Also, this was such a great episode for clothes and *ahem* a lack of clothes (*cough Tora’s gym fit *cough*)! I really love how poppy and tora are finally feeling more comfortable being themselves. Poppy no longer cares what the ppl of moonbright think of her and who she is seen with and ever so boldly even kisses tora on the cheek IN PUBLIC!!!! and yes I absolutely adore her STILL running away after doing so cause it’s just so fucking cute cause that’s sooooo bold and out of character but she feels comfortable enough to it is which is amazing! Also, she is absolutely radiating after the moonbright even cause look at her wearing a bold printed and colorful dress, and dare I say lip gloss as well cause hey! She is feeling herself and that is ALWAYS an amazing feeling. Same can be said with tora. Tora is so used to literally hiding himself. Covering himself from the chin down just to appear “like a normal person” to make others feel more comfortable with his prescence. But now, he wears his sexy date shirt, revealing his sexy chest and his tattoos SHAMELESSLY because I think the moonbright experience is also making him feel more like himself and poppy makes him feel safe enough to be himself unapologetically. It’s so sweet and wonderful how they are both finding themselves with the help of each other whether it’s poppy letting him know it’s ok to just be him and he doesn’t have to hide himself, and tora bringing the confidence out of poppy as she now knows with 100% validation that a man like tora is actually into her and make her feel good about herself after being dragged down for soooo long by a tool named Julri. It’s so great when you find a love where you both can uplift each other and feel confident to be yourselves and not have to hide in the shadows anymore. I love this so much 🤗🤗🤗🤗 I really wish I can hug them both 🫂

I just love the character development. ♥️ Poppy realizing that she doesn't care anymore what people in Moonbright think, and that she doesn't want Tora and Damien to worry about it as well. Her growing comfortable in her skin, first shown in what she wore when she was alone with Tora in Moonbright, now shown in that beautiful dress she's wearing in the office. I love how it's still colourful, but so much more confident, just like her.

Patreon ate my comment so here it goes again. I’m smiling like an idiot. I know I say this every time, but this episode was Everything. Again. I did a little exercise and re-read the last 10 episodes together. So that I can see the whole Moonbright arc from beginning to end. And man… I can understand Poppy so well. She has been through a LOT in the past two days. Firstly she got bad mojo from Gil at work, then the infamous phone call from her douche ex, then the rush to Moonbright filled with worries for her Granny, trying to invite Tora to come with her (I think she unconsciously relied on him for emotional support, which warms my heart in so many ways) but her phone went dead, then she had to deal with the slightly manipulative technique her Granny had used to get her back home, followed by another heavy discussion with Julri the asshole of the year. Already her day was filled with anxiety. When Tora arrived and dealt with Julri, she spiraled into other types of emotions - the ones she had been avoiding. Poppy admitted that she made a mistake (when she apologized to Tora, in ep 72, for making fun of his street slang - how BEAUTIFUL is that she said then “You can just be yourself. When you’re around ME at least” and NOW she just accepted him ON THE STREETS of her home town, with no care whatsoever about what others think??? That little kiss? So sweet! It mirrors the neck kiss he gave her the night before. I’m so happy! This is a huge, huge step towards self-confidence and self-affirmation). So back to emotions - tender and intimate, getting close to Tora, trying to know him better and opening herself to him in the process, the many ways they touched and kissed each other, then the trust talk, the realization she is wary of commitment, maybe a little scared for “getting in too deep and spiraling out of control”. On top of that, on the same night - a thuglet covered in leeches, cooking dinner two times, wishing to sleep next to Tora, but not daring to ask him….. That was all in ONE DAY. The next day she had to deal with nosey and obnoxious neighbors (my heart soared to the skies when she mustered the Tora glare - the first time when the targets of her glare had that ominous shadow around them, the black heavy background of FEAR. She really picked up the “fear and intimidation” card from her man and I couldn’t be more proud, I think she needed it.) She had to deal with her Granny’s medical issues, to arrange with Ned, June, and her cousin to take care of things after she left, then the end of another long day, the ride back home. I don’t know about you, but I would need a whole WEEK to decompress and sort myself out. Needless to say, the journey Poppy and Tora have started with each other and with themselves is extremely satisfying to watch. I love how they are becoming more comfortable in their own skin with each other’s support, acceptance, kindness, and trust. This arc in the story feels to me very important. It’s the foundation of a healthy relationship, steps on a path to self-healing and self-acceptance, and last but not least a discovery of love. For oneself and for one another, because true love is not easy, not fast, and most certainly not devoid of challenges.

I’m not sure why some people are accusing Poppy of ghosting Tora… She’s been through an enormous amount of emotional shit in a very short time and is still reeling from an abusive relationship in which Julri constantly accused her of being invasive and exhausting. Even without that hang up, she missed a couple days of work, while in the middle of a big project and at a job where her workload is massive. She also likely needs to recharge and process all these “firsts” she’s experiencing with Tora - three days isn’t enough time to call it ghosting. Looks like she went shopping - good for her taking time for herself after putting everyone else first. And in all this time Tora’s checking his phone, it’s literally in his hand, ready to text or call. He is *not* busy. Betcha in the next couple of episodes we’ll see what Poppy’s been up to; maybe she’s been checking her phone, too.

Idk why but I thought poppy was not ghosting Tora but pushing him away again because she doesn’t want to get in too deep and out of control but after reading the comments a little it is obvious she has been through a lot and needs some time to herself. Plus she blushed when she saw Tora at the end and also Tora could have texted her too. Poppy was probably taking time to herself and working and they probably both were too nervous to start a text. And that cheek kiss is everything.

The last two episodes have been my favorite kinds!! They are funny, we get some sweet Poppy/Tora moments, and the art (as always) is stunning. But the thing I love is while there are still so many questions the episode didn’t end with a soul crushing cliffhanger 😂 can’t wait to see what happens as time goes on. ❤️

Jumping right in with this one! The pure discomfort these thugs have around bugs is a true pleasure to watch! The way they’re huddled up, Pinky looking like ET and basically using Tora for protection is the kind of joke to make you smile long after the fact. They’re so funny. Just that, “Fuck this shit, I’m sleepin’ in the car.” had me howling with laughter again! Just add comedic genius to your resume Lily. I really really enjoyed this episode and the fact it started on a new day and from Poppy’s POV. I love the dark backgrounds and the backdrop of night that we’ve had. But this new day, new start pulled me in straight away. I’ve been zooming in on the details in the back, intensely curious of Moonbright, looking for clues or just the general feel of where Poppy grew up. And boy do they look like shit!! Ha ha! Welcome to the sleep deprivation club, boys. At least mine is because of a cute bubba and not because of hiding in a car all night in case the bugs get them. Do we get a flashback to that? Imagine the frogs lining the windscreen watching them all night. Pft pft. I’d like one of those shirts too, please! I wanna be part of the tiger club. And as I write this I have the cute bubba asleep on me so I’m doing a Poppy and trying really hard not to laugh at her reaction to the shirts. I reckon she’s got a good idea these boys get up to some dodgy shit, I’d think. And yet here they are looking like shit because of bugs and wearing matching shirts. They’re so freaking adorable and I love the look on her face. Oh he’s definitely got a Lil’ fan club all right! Quite a few in fact. But now knowing Pinky had the idea of them and went through with it, means Tora didn’t give him too much shit for it all that time ago and possibly, maybe, deep down appreciates his little fan club. Personal theory but I’m running with it. Of course Pinky would pack it! He’s hella proud to be with his big bro. Side note, I hope they DID have a cheat day cause it’ll make me feel better about the fact I have one every single day. And here we take a massive leap with Poppy that has got me going full blown cheerleader again for her. No surprise that Tora offered to cover his tattoo for her, lest he tarnish her reputation in her home town. But the massive stride Poppy has taken in this moment to say fuck it to what her home town thinks of her, and protecting Tora and Pinky against whatever judgement they might get there, was like a weight lifted. She feels - I want to say stronger but I think it’s the wrong word - more empowered? Like taking that step to stand up to Julri was so monumental for her and I know I’ve said it a few times but I’m so proud and happy for her! And that cheek kiss...gah between Tora left standing there holding his face in wonder and her blush and embarrassment as she ran off, these two are going to make my heart stay at a constant fluttery rhythm. They’ve come a long way from Tora teasing her for a cheek kiss to Poppy planting one on him without question. The whole moment was very tender and beautiful. She embraced it with her eyes closed, giving him the permission he so deserved. To just be himself, no matter what. Someone hold my bag, I’m ready to fucking throw hands with this meddling, heinous Mrs Nelson!! Holy Hera I felt my blood boil as I read that twisted backwards view of keeping your man happy. Just the thought is making me wheeze with anger, that anyone thinks they have the right to say anything even close to this. And then BAM!! Like the ballsy hamster she is, Poppy absolutely SLAYS that woman with no effort at all and I am BUZZING for that!!! I want to jump around saying, “In your face!” like a child, but I can’t help myself because she took that power back in seconds and held her head high. FLAWLESS execution, Poppy! Show ‘em how to back the fuck up quick. YEAH RHONDA, with your Candy Girl tshirt (seriously, what is that?) SHE HAS A POINT!! Divorce or not, don’t take your misery out on other people. Ugh! Calming myself down, that rattled me hard. I’m betting my vast shoe collection busy body neighbours are only half of what Granny keeps herself as far away from town for... I felt the pure exhaustion Poppy was feeling from everything she had to do before leaving Moonbright, to the depths of my soul. Many many times over the years I’ve had to step in and arrange help when my mum would be taken into hospital. The mental exhaustion from trying to make sure everything is taken care of is no joke. And Poppy is no doubt feeling a tinge of guilt for having to go back to the city. Though I am immensely relieved Granny apologised for tricking her, there something about the way Poppy highlighted that Granny has always been honest about her faults and flaws...I’m wondering where that’s going to come up. How Poppy is going to feel depending on what Granny wants to talk about. And when they’ll have that talk? I could be reaching, but I keep re reading that and the thought I want to grab on to keeps drifting away. Too much of that sleep deprivation the boys have got. Look at Poppy’s wobbly legs!! And the little tear that they stayed and got her food too! This woman deserves those little moments that show she’s cared about, especially after the super long 2 days she’s had. Pinky is so cute and the more we see of him the more I just want to ruffle his pink hair and go all big sister on him. I wonder how long it will be before Poppy is clued in - if ever - to the danger shes in? That Jacob and Erdene know about. She questions if Dene knows Pinky went to Moonbright, but is out of the loop of a fair amount at the moment. Or so it seems! I’m curious but patient. I just want this girl to catch some decent sleep first, haha. It was a fantastic transition from Poppy to Quincey and Tora. I’ve been craving some time with them two alone and this was exactly what I hoped it would be. And it answered a lot. Another thing I LOVE about this story; we’re not left for too long wondering with certain things. And the conversation between the two as they walked to Goldfish Publishing answered a lot for me, at least. Tora’s mental health being a big one at least. Was there a crucial moment that made him take a step back? Did they come up with the bodyguard ploy together? I’m grateful Quincey is watching out for him. But I’m still nervous about D-Day...! Aw Tora, how he’s restrained himself from texting or calling her over those 3 days shows some serious strength! And I am so here for him embracing the silent permission to just be himself, clan tattoos and everything, around Poppy. Especially as Dene and Jacob know now of their clan links anyway. And like Poppy he seems as though he’s shed something over these few days too, and is oozing more confidence. And a little dressed up, let’s face it. Our tiger looks hella fine on this trip to the office and if I was Poppy I’d stop mid sentence too when I got a look at him! High key his hair like that is my favourite style. Just saying. So I’m wondering what had Poppy go radio silent on Tora these last few days and why she looks kinda caught as she looks at him. But fact is she just went through a lot and maybe just needed some space to figure out her thoughts and feelings. And Tora giving her that space is another huge win to him! I don’t think Granny has said anything to her yet, she was bubbly until she spotted Tora. But maybe she’s feeling a bit overwhelmed by all that’s happened and just needs some breathing room. Either way, I’m very curious to what’s going to happen next week! This episode was soooo long and filled with an amazing mix of everything! But more than that, the art is always, always incredible. The sheer amount of work that must go into creating this master piece is beyond my comprehension. But I’m so grateful we get to read it and throw ourselves into the wild theories we undoubtedly come up with. Another stunning episode, Lily! Thank you.

I hope that Poppy’s deer in the headlights look isn’t because she misread Tora when he decided to stay with Pinky instead of her that night at Granny’s. They went from 100% hot to 100% halt in one episode. I hope Poppy’s look is because she’s surprise he listened to her about being ok to be himself and show his tattoos and it’s a good shock and not her panicking about how to act around him especially in front of friends. I’m worried Tora is going to have hurt feelings since he realized he’s IN LOVE!!! Then got to fool around in a neutral private safe space if you will, then just didn’t hear from her for 3 days. I hope her phone is broken or something because after all that close spicy time and learning more about each other then hearing absolutely nothing seems a bit jarring and I would be worried if I didn’t hear from someone after all that. I desperately want Poppy to walk over to Tora and greet him with a huge smile and compliment him on how he looks and maybe gently guide him over to the group by the hand. I feel like that way we can see they moved forward and progressed and they’re still warm toward each other without over doing it. A lunch date would be super cute with just the two of them since he came to make it clear he’s only there for her ❤️ I’m so excited for the development they’ve made and their relationship blossoming! Ok on the spicy side, so we didn’t actually get a behind the scenes sneak peek on how far the two of them went in moonbright. I thought initially not much maybe just some boob action for Tora then later looked at a photo of the T-shirt of Tora’s she’s wearing. It covers all the way to her hips and we clearly saw Tora’s hand near boob so the shirt was up. Frog panties could be revealed here!! I loved the choices of underwear for them they’re on point lol. Tora’s totally gave me a Joe Boxer vibe bc I’m old! Anyways, if you haven’t made some of the secret gardens maybe some further details of what went down like in the lake but mini version would be awesome! I’d love a whole side scene to supplement what happened in the bedroom rough hands action scene but know you’re beat! Can’t wait for more developments and insights to their thoughts and feelings! And more awesome underwear 👙

I'm really interested to know what Granny revealed - whatever it was must have been a doozie...it's the reason Poppy went silent on Tora and why she almost cried with relief/comfort (maybe?) when she saw the boys waiting for her. I dont know if she's trying to protect him or protect herself...but i'm so interested to hear what Granny says.
