I know there is still a lot that needs to be addressed about what happened earlier in the day....but I’m happy to see Tora showing Poppy this much needed validation. Sure, he’s probably personally seen worse, but he’s letting her process and telling her it’s okay. And he’s letting her know she was clever and that it’s okay to feel scared. Also, GYU HAS A FAN CLUB AND THAT MAKES ME SO HAPPY!!!!

I love that she apologized about hanging up on Tora even though she was upset with him. I think they both needed the comfort after everything that happened. I've noticed Poppy tends to blame herself for any bad situation that she experiences. She blamed herself when her mom left, wondering if its because she wouldnt wear her helmet. She blamed herself when she caught Julri cheating on her. And now she blames herself for hanging up on Tora and says she'll never do it again. I hope she realizes that this was not at all her fault. It was a series of unfortunate instances that led to her having this awful experience. She still has some more personal growth to do but she needs to not be hard on herself (I know its easier said than done). I'm so proud of everything she's accomplished so far <3

I still think they need to address what happened earlier that day (of course), but Tora's being a good guy right now. Taking care of Poppy and reassuring her, and acknowledging that she's valid in feeling terrified.

Lily ma’am every time you warn us about short episodes I am so confused because these episodes are lacking for NOTHING. The tiger comforting his brave hamster was so soothing and perfect. 💜💜💜 Poppy and Tora have much to discuss but for now, it’s important for them to let Poppy rest/freak out/do whatever she needs to do to process what just happened in her apartment. These panels of Poppy burying her head in Tora’s shoulder with his arms wrapped around her are profoundly sincere and tender in their simplicity. This is Poppy’s moment to breathe and Tora is staying by her side with both verbal and physical affirmations (i.e. calling her brave, holding her shaking hand). Tora may have a lot of work he needs to do on himself but his emotional intelligence still rings true. And Poppy admitting, in a shaky voice, that this was a terrifying experience is in line with her progression of not belittling her own feelings. The level of care in this episode is everything. ❤️ GYU my god!! Is him scaling the building Lily’s way of telling us to never worry about Gyu and his abilities? Confident we are all Gyu’s fangirls at this point. 😉 Also I have many questions on Poppy sharpening her knives as a way to relax…who is this woman? Is this a new therapeutic or grounding exercise I need to try? Does she have a knife collection???

I was so ready for our girl to grab onto Tora for dear life like a koala, but this is so much more realistic. We know that Poppy’s MO is to suppress bad feelings around other people. Watching Tora help her come to terms with the attack, and continue to show her that she can trust him and can break down with him was so stinking cute. 🥺🥺🥺 Get you a ride or die that’s strong enough to let you just cry it out, y’all. Many people (cough, men, cough) get very uncomfortable when others cry. They’d rather take action, find a solution to the problem. But sometimes the solution is a good, cathartic cry, and even better if your Tora just holds you through it.

So, Jax and I were talking about the face Tora made when seeing that painting and what significance it might have held for him. Here are my thoughts: At first I kind of scrolled past it, inhaling the episode as you do, but I did recognise it’s the painting from way back when. Maybe Tora is remembering that too, and along with it everything else relating to that night when he first saw it. It’s like we’ve come full circle. That night was a monumental step in their relationship. It was the first time they deliberately shared intimacy, the first time he took a step into her world, her apartment. They were practically strangers, and the feelings he might have had for her were new. A far cry from his recent falling in love realisation. It was also the night when he installed that motion sensor. So, it really is like a call back to so so long ago (for us), and if this painting holds no more meaning than that, it would be good enough for me. I also have to say though that since someone mentioned it looks like the roof top kiss, I cannot unsee a face in the big dark blob 😂

After the intensity and heaviness of the last couple of chapters, to find this one so calming and soothing to me was a welcome relief I didn’t realise I needed. I had no idea what was going to come from this chapter, but I knew Tora wouldn’t be rushing off into the night to track down this dumbass who broke into her apartment. And his pure calm throughout this relieved a lot of anxiety I had been feeling leading up to this new episode. I got to say it, Poppy’s neighbours are hilarious! She sounds like she’s surrounded by some witty and badass people and I feel better knowing that. The quip about Mr Lee and all his gold jewellery and the other conversations going on around Tora and Poppy found the perfect balance to alleviate what had just happened, but remind us it was a serious situation. As if Poppy’s shaking doesn’t show us that. There was something profound about the way she dropped that kitchen knife as she’s talking to Tora, her slight disbelief that he’s there. When I try to imagine how I would feel in her position, I just can’t help but feel the shock of it. She’s just had someone invade her personal space, tie her up and suddenly here is this solid rock of a person in front of her, creating a safe space again and I marvel at the fact she’s not bursting into tears right now! I’m expecting that though. Gods, the way he’s holding her, with her head tucked down against his shoulder like that, this woman has got some serious strength! Shock is not something to pass off and she looks like she’s in a lot of it. And those simple words of reassurance from Tora just slays me. Was I expecting her to say sorry for hanging up on him? No! But it made me laugh with his confusion! I hope we get some look into her thoughts soon, because I’m very curious if she’s going to take him turning up despite what she said to him on the phone, as her letting go of the way he spoke to her in the coffee shop. My gut is saying she won’t, that it will be addressed. But having someone appear just when you need them can do things to your thoughts too. So the window pane...I was curious in the previous episode if it was glass or paper, so who is this dumbass to have managed to climb her balcony and remove a piece of glass so smoothly? As if his escape skills didn’t tell us he’s got some kind of training, this new piece of information is making me nervous. We haven’t heard from Vincent in a long time, does he know about Poppy and send this person? Although as I write that I find it unlikely. It’s too clumsy, Vincent expects nothing but perfection. Tora is proof of that. So another clan maybe? Thanks for sticking with me while I worked through my thoughts there, ha. GYU! Damn boy, you are looking hella good here! We saw what he did to one of the thuglets at the club, so we knew he had skills. But seeing them in action and I’m with Poppy’s neighbour with the Gyu fangirling! Side note, Poppy I love that you're thinking of him too as she tells him to be careful! (2nd storey fan girls rollers have me howling! You never ever miss with the comic timing to take the edge off Lily!) Anyone else get tingles when Tora said they’re trained professionals and have a montage go through your mind at Tora whipping them into shape? No? Just me then...pft pft. Aw Poppy, I’d get tingles having Tora touch my bare leg too. Is he blushing? Is that due to her reaction with him touching her, or because he’s just taken the big compliment she dished out at Gyu’s skills? Either way, I love to see it! He really struggles with a true compliment doesn’t he? Such a gooey centre under that hard as rock shell, Tora. So here is where my mind got blown open - I saw on one of the Facebook groups a fantastic nod to the fact the painting Poppy had originally called warm up brush strokes back in episode 27, looks a lot like their moment on the rooftop, with their first kiss. And now I can’t unsee it! We know he saw this painting before that delicious rooftop kiss, but I will happily run with the head canon that it’s a nod to what was coming. Thank you to the person who opened that can of worms for me, I’m sorry I didn’t note down who it was so can’t give credit. But that look on Tora’s face as he looks at the painting again as he’s moving it has me feeling things. Maybe he sees something different now… Poppy did a great job of recounting what happened to lead up to Tora finding her, blur or not. I wonder if that's the editor in her, the shock or just that she’s a very smart hamster. Either way I basked in that praise along with her when he said, “Clever move.” Made my heart go badump that’s for sure! And then again when she said she sharpens knives to soothe herself when she’s on edge...I mean, there’s other things you could choose to do. Like reading one of those books with the spine facing inwards. So I find that little tidbit very interesting! But I also wonder if Tora picked up on that...Again, she is an actual badass!! She was faced with a situation she didn’t know if she was going to survive and her instincts stepped up and I am so freaking proud of her for that! She’s taken enough shit recently, to have this small win on her side, that she was praised for her quick thinking, I hope will go a long way to helping her to come to terms with what happened. And he makes her laugh again! Their whole positioning is giving me tons of comfort. The way he's sitting crossed legged in front of her, clearly showing he’s not going anywhere, he’s open to listening. And that light hold of her wrist, the contact probably as much for him as for her, it really soothed those frayed nerves of mine more. And of course I’m not going to bypass Vincent and Tora in a nutshell chibi’s because that was hilarious!! How small and meek does Vinny look? Bahaha. I hope Poppy didn’t expect Tora to brush off what happened to her. When she finished her story and started trembling, it was like you could actively see her steeling herself as if she’d be told it wasn’t a big deal. (Thank you jerki). But when he both acknowledged it was pretty damn brave and also pretty fucking scary, I breathed a sigh of relief for her. She’s looking at him then, the flush across her cheeks says a lot. He’s given her the validation she deserves to hear. Needed to hear. And we’re reminded again just how intuitive Tora is too. He knows she’s way too calm, and I hope she’s not trying to be that way because he’s there, as if she has to put on a brave face. They’ve already had some pretty intense moments of honesty together, she’s safe with him in every way that counts - especially once he apologises for the coffee shop. I adore the way he’s pulled her into him, comforting her. Who knows how long they stay there for, but it was a perfect way to end the episode. Also the Dr Phil comment made my day! The scene with Quincey and Tora in the underground parking lot is one of my absolute favourite ever and having Poppy say it too made my heart swell. As did the whole episode. As I said before it was very calming, hugely thanks to Tora and his strong and soothing presence and approach to what happened. I wonder if some thought he would go off the rails and hunt this dumbass down because it was Poppy in danger. But he proved last episode that he keeps his cool when he needs to. That he’s trained well enough to approach and assess a situation quickly - case in point he knew he couldn’t shoot at his legs without knowing if the panes were glass or paper and alerting the neighbours. (Side note, I am really glad it wouldn’t have been a shoot to kill moment). He put Poppy’s needs far ahead of any possible vengeance or need to get answers for himself. He was present and everything she needed. So I’m going to be going into the next episode a little lighter and less anxious - maybe. I also have to note that it hit me a certain way that this is the first time he’s been back in her apartment since the tender balcony scene back in episode 28. They have come such a long way since then and it just made me feel all kinds of things to have him see the painting again, watch Gyu climb the balcony after he told her the first time he’d be able to climb it in thirty seconds - and then this happened - and have them cuddling...it definitely stuck out in a big way for me. I love the nods to previous episodes and the perfect balance you achieve each week, Lily. This was a stunning episode!

Really super episode LILY. Poppy, Tora You and all of us needed it. It takes a moment of sweetness and tenderness. The length is perfect. Do not worry about it! I like the color of the boards, the atmosphere you can create by mixing history and drawings: it's really intense. it is the reality of life. It doesn't look like a Webtoon at all. Poppy is surprised by Tora present even in this terrible moment ... Tora doesn't explain why she is there, he makes her feel his "presence" in a new way. Not as a "Tiger" but as someone who loves her, truly loves her. This gives Poppy, I believe, even more confidence to be a "Braver girl". Great, as always, your fetching out the clues about the characters and the story: I indicate the painting painted by Poppy and on which Poppy asks Tora for an interpretation in episode 27. Colors and two black spots that could be Tora and Poppy's shocks. While the color that surrounds them, their potential affection needs the other as well as obviously love. I like "the listening skills" that Tora shows to Poppy and the smile that Tora always manages to give her, when he asks about "F * ck Phil". In short, Lilly you are hitting center on center ... You prepare the ground with skill to confront Tora and Poppy on the many dark spots that await them to discover each other ... And I look forward to next Saturday ... Thanks !
