Like “Shit. I can’t believe I said that to her…” was his thinking. No matter how much you care for someone, when you have demons, they tend to take over at no moments notice.

Tora really almost called her a bitch 😅. Like come on dude. She was legit just attacked and is still upset about you leaving her at work with no explanation! Yet Poppy handles it so well because she is willing to talk about her feelings without be belittled or gaslighted. Yet I also have to remember that I assume since Tora is in the Mafia that he’s never truly connected with anyone as much as he has with Poppy. He is trying to protect her at all cost but ai believe she can handle anything since she knows who he is and what he does for a living. I love the way you show what a real relationship is like because nothing is absolutely perfect. You have good days and bad days but if you truly love someone you will be able to work things out.

GAH so good! So… I might be a little strange here (okay, who am I kidding, I’m DEFINITELY strange) but I’m the kind of person that appreciates an argument in a relationship. It’s a form of communication-albeit usually a sign of previous poor communication- and also a sign that something needs to be addressed. Now, there is obviously a limit to this being a good thing- but more often than not, when an argument like the one in todays episode happens- it’s because both parties are at fault in some capacity, and both are hurting and defensive... that shit needs to be aired. I’ve been with my husband for 12 years now and we have had (and will continue to have) lots of misunderstandings and arguments. When people tell me they’ve never argued with their S/O before I’m like… 🤨 How do you grow and learn from each other if you don’t hit bumps and confront them? My husband and I are both stubborn. And we both think we are right a lot. But at the end of the day, we are also both sensitive, and we know we love each other more than anything else. So while we might approach things in the wrong way when we are in the heat of an emotion (emotions tend to keep the intellect at bay), one of our cooler heads will eventually prevail… generally whoever decided to be less stubborn that night 😂 In tonight’s case- it was Poppy. And I think Poppy and Tora embody both these same traits- sensitivity and stubbornness. And when they’re coming from very different backgrounds and mindsets, in HIGH stress situations on numerous fronts? They’re going to need to communicate and they haven’t learned enough about each other to do it without arguing yet. I sense there are going to be a lot of “shouldn’t”s in tonight’s comment section. “Tora shouldn’t have snapped at Poppy in the cafe.” “Tora shouldn’t have gotten angry again when she confronted him” “Tora shouldn’t have thrown it back on her with a -get someone else to save you next time- attitude.” “Poppy shouldn’t have taken that tone.” “Poppy shouldn’t have egged him on in her anger.” Well… the fact is, they did respond this way. So the question is why? These are characters who are depicted in such a real way that we as readers have real emotional responses to these scenes. But if we are going to judge these characters for actions we disagree with, we also have to be understanding of their faults, and the “why’s” behind them. Just take a moment and think about -not even the last few weeks which have been HELL in the background of the cute love story- but the last few days. Gil has both Poppy and Tora wound up for different reasons, Tora’s juggling keeping Poppy safe from numerous threats without her knowing, Poppy is dealing with family and relationship trauma… on top of being broke… AND THEYRE BOTH CATCHING FEELINGS which is scary for both of them right now! Then Poppy gets attacked. Emotions are high. Vulnerabilities are showing, and when in doubt? They get angry because life is fucking overwhelming sometimes. And it’s so REAL. All of this is so real…. And I’m so excited for the next episode, to see how these outbursts could lead to some serious discussions and moments of honestly that will not only strengthen their relationship, but help them both grown into better people for their own sakes. Well done Lily. Making us feel all the things 👏❤️‍🔥

This was such a great episode! So real and so true to life! They’re so worked up about EVERYTHING that’s been happening today and the last few days, they blew up, but are coming around and hopefully having some good communication to come! Plus, Tora gave Poppy a note on her birthday, now she’s giving him one. I can’t wait to see what it says!

If Gyu hasn’t returned yet, I bet the intruder is Goliath. Realistically, Gyu has had major training from Tora and would be able to fight someone off. But if the intruder is Goliath and they ran into each other…there would be hesitation on both sides. They are childhood friends and probably don’t really want to hurt one another. As for the fight between Bobby and Tora, that’s a pretty mild fight after everything they just went through. Bobby held her composure well but got overwhelmed when she started lashing out and Tora, who has never experienced this, lashed out in response. He doesn’t know how to communicate well with people. All he has known is violence. Tora has given Bobby a healthy place to vent her frustrations and that’s something she desperately needs because of her trauma from every other relationship she has had in her life. They have all been pretty toxic except for her relationship with her dad. She’s never really had that before so yeah, she’s bound to make mistakes as well. What’s important is that both of them realized that they just messed up in the moment and stepped up for one another in the end. Tora being non verbal in Bobby’s presence but taking the note, and Bobby realizing that even though she has the right to be mad, she didn’t handle the situation properly. He needs to apologize for calling her a B.I.T.C.H. though. Because right now she’s traumatized.

I enjoyed this episode very much. What they both exhibited here was a trauma response. She was traumatized by being attacked and he is traumatized by his childhood and mafia entanglements. Even healthy people don’t do well with those dynamics. I don’t understand why some say they don’t like Tora. It tells me maybe some do not know who he is. He is broken. Broken people do and say things that are jacked up. Hell even healthy people do stupid shit. I have hope for both of them that they will experience healing through their relationship together. Some people say these arguments don’t bode well for their future. I disagree. Conflict handled well is better then false harmony. When they fight they eventually fight fair. They end up listening and forgiving. That is way better the the silent treatment or abusive language. Yes, thank God he held back the b word. I look forward to more. I love the characters and the story. ♥️

Ok so maybe I am ready way too much into how ms lily has captured the last panels while poppy was explaining herself but…. The way the ending starts, they seemed so far away from each other (in Tora perspective) and with each panel, it seemed like they were getting closer (the close ups vs the non) and I am so proud of both of them. Poppy for saying her piece with an included apology and Tora for not having a full blown tantrum like he did outside of Alice’s. We don’t know what he will say next but guys…they literally met each other halfway in the end. 😍

I’m not sure how it’s even possible, but I find worried/sad?-face Tora even more beautiful than usual. Question about that part though 🙋🏻‍♀️: what made Tora react the way he did when he stopped stroking Poppy’s shin and turned away from her? Then he looks worried/sad/disappointed??? Is he mad that she’s mad? Or is it something else I’m not picking up on? 🤔

Dude I freaking forgot this was Friday….fuck I cannot believe myself. Work was on the brain. Anyway- I just hope tora reads the note or gives poppy a chance to explain herself on why she felt the way she felt. We have to remember that tora doesn’t realize the way he came off at the coffee shop actually hurt her…their conversation was not calm like how poppy wanted it to be but came out in the heat of the moment. Many of us thag have been in relationships probably had heated arguments where being calm and collected flies out the window and sometimes words are said or “about to be said” are thrown that are wrong but happen. Not saying it’s an excuse, but hell- I can’t count how many times I have told rl bae- “YOURE BEING A FUCKING ASSHOLE” or “YOURE BEING A DICK”….of course calling a gf, wife a bitch is hurtful, but I feel like the way tora said it was not like a - YOURE A FUCKING BITCH (sort of way I hope this comes out right) like not a purposefully name calling to degrade her sort of way- and trust me- I been in a relationship where I was straight up called a WHORE & A BITCH and it’s completely different. (And yes I’m not with that abusive pig anymore). But anyway- I hope they really get past this quarrel. We have to look at both positions too….poppy- she been through a fucking shit ass day!!! Have wonderful moments, to having terrible moments like being stood up, feeling forgotten and abandoned, to going home and nearly getting killed!! But she doesn’t know that tora was trying to go after that son of a bitch gil who poppy doesn’t Know is the biggest asshole murderer ever and well there’s still so much explaining to do from BOTH PARTS. While I’m happy they are together in each other’s prescence right now, we also gotta see that tora felt attacked too even tho he was literally bout to save her life and was like WHOA WHERE IS ALL THIS COMING FROM!? but poppy has every right to tell him how he made her feel….maybe it was a wrong moment to bring it up????? Idk I definitely done that shit before….but it WILL eventually get addressed because now he knows he really did do something that bothered her….anyway- my brain kinda hurts. I want to do NOTHING now. Too much ppl interactions. K bye

I looove how realistic this episode was. It’s healthy for couples to have arguments every now and then so I’m glad they fought instead of being cuddly the whole time. (although I wouldn’t mind more cuddles when Poppy bunks with Tora👀)

This was a ROLLER COASTER of an episode and the exhaustion/adrenaline/simmering tension that Poppy and Tora are running on at this point in their night is so palpable. Communication is a practice and can be messy and emotional, especially at the start of a relationship when everything feels so new and fragile and both parties are figuring out their feelings, and both Poppy and Tora are out of their depths here, which is why their blow up is so damn realistic. I was really struck by the look on Tora’s face after Poppy says she’s safer with him and wants to stay with him for the night. Is he wishing that their first night in his apartment was under different circumstances? There’s a stark difference between their first night together in Moonbright, which was deeply romantic and a safe little cocoon from the rest of the world, and a possible second night together where Poppy no longer feels safe in her apartment after being assaulted. Is he questioning whether he can actually keep her safe from harm, since someone was able to slip into her apartment? Also…considering the serious trauma that Poppy just went through, I’m guessing Tora’s more intimate touches in this sequence are not that welcome at the moment. And when he picked up on that through her body language, he turned away, not knowing what to offer or how to comfort Poppy further. It’s incredible that so many interpretations can exist within a single, wordless panel. Bravo Lily 💜

In my opinion, this episode is very important for the character development. First of all, they fight, so they’re official without really saying it because honestly if that isn’t how couples fight then I don’t know what it can be. We know Poppy tends to dumb her down or stay away from conflicts, because she hates confronting people. Here, for the first time, we see her calling someone out for shitty behaviors, and that someone happens to be Tora, of all people! Being an ill-tempered is his trademark, and we can see he’s being rubbed the wrong way here because our dark knight just saved the hamster’s ass from an intruder and she offered nothing in return but a snark attack. Also, with all that sexual tension building up from Moonbright’s blue balls, I’m pretty sure it was his sexually frustrated self speaking (remember how he was angry being left out in the cold after that steamy session in the alleyways in episode 65). I’m not in neither Tora’s nor Poppy’s side in this episode, I think they’re both flawed and these heated arguments just show that they’ve grown to be quite comfortable together. Poppy is like every girl having high hopes about her guy being able to read her mind, only to ruminate for days because he doesn’t and can’t. Tora’s like every guy head over heel for his girl and can’t think straight when he’s in physical contacts with her. For a man known for his celibacy, being seen as a horny guy while his gf is in a vulnerable situation (poor thing she’s been stressed out for weeks), it must rub his ego the wrong way too. And what do we have when two feisty spirits are rubbed in the wrong way and on the wrong day? We’ve got a mouth diarrhea case study for love puppies. Remember that Poppy was in an unhealthy relationship for 6 years, and Tora was never in a relationship, so things are new to them and they’ve got a lot to learn. The whole episode was so beautiful written and acted out, I feel thankful that Lily didn’t come up with something cheesy from Tora to cool her down after his shitty behaviors during their first date. I think we will come back to their arguments in a couple of episodes, Tora needs some distraction from Gyu and the intruder to proceed the strange feelings and thoughts he’s having, and then we’ll have another snuggle session at Poppy’s place where he’ll stay for the night. It’s Friday night, her ankle is bruised and I can just imagine her being grounded in that tiny apartment with a hunky grumpy handsome douchebag. That’s all I want for Christmas this year =]]

I know too well the apology speech Poppy talked about and this habit of snapping at people out of the blue, about a past mistake they've done to my point of view, while they actually didn't do anything at the moment.... This makes me reflect on myself a lot... I need to speak my mind in the moment if I'm displeased instead of keeping it all inside and blowing it up at the person in a later, unrelated time... Honestly, Tora looking sad after Poppy asks if she can stay with him really got me. I mean, maybe he’s thinking about how dangerous this all can be for her. Like she’s going to have a target on her now? Maybe he’s wondering if he can even keep her safe? Or maybe just wishing this wouldn’t be how their first sleep over together would go? There’s a whole mess of things I feel like he’s trying to process there. With that being said.....it’s clear both of them need to learn how to communicate in a healthy manner. Tora hasn’t been in a real relationship before, and Poppy.....well Poppy has been suppressing emotions for years of being insulted and gaslit by Julri. It sorta broke my heart to see them so angry, but at the same time.....I think this will be a moment that helps them grow.

Wow we really went through all the emotions in this one! A wild ride for sure. They also switched from horny to angry real fast 😂 But I don’t think it’s unreasonable that they ended up shouting at each other. The energy is way high after what just happened. I’m just confused because Tora recognises that she is supposed to be mad at him but then blows up at her when she gets snarky. And I didn’t think Poppy needed to be the one to apologise her. Tora almost called her a bitch, well damn! And he licked her out of nowhere 😂 not a kiss, a LICK! Is he low on salt? Liking the taste of sweat lol? One of the things that I love most about Lily’s art is all that is said WITHOUT dialogue. That argument was FUUULLL of sexual tension. That note is going to be his undoing Im sure of it. If we look at it from the context of the lasts eps, he had been minimizing and downplaying his feelings and by extension hers too. “It’s just a crush” “she’s just attracted to me” “we just got carried away” “its Not love” For me that note signifies that she CARES. That is not just a physical thing. And that even if she doesn’t realizes it she is putting her effort to STAY. And that for me will be his undoing because let’s face it. How many people in his life have truly STAYED just because they wanted to. Anyway I’ll leave this for now. I loved the ep, i loved to see them fighting and I can’t wait for the sexy lusty makeup licks I’m sure will come 👁👅👁

Tora has had a ROUGH day. He finally came to see Poppy after he missed her. Made out in the closet, went on a date, got the call they lost Gil, blacked out on what he said, followed Gil and lost him, contemplated taking his life, came down from that with his breathing and thinking of Bobby, came to her place, Gyu fell asleep, scared off an intruder who was in Poppy's home, calms her down a bit and then she gets pissed at him. Hard dat doesn't even cover it. He was spiraling into darkness just an hour or so before this. Something that I think is really key is that he doesn't really remember what he said to Bobby at the shop so when she told him what he said, I *think* he doesn't recall how he said it and in what context. That he said it to the waiters or something.

Oooh. This episode going cause feelings. My observation. Tora is a physical being. In a moment of adrenaline, deep anxiety/stress, admiration for Poppy, a bit of no brain, his barely there control for his want for her came out wrong. His love language is probably touch too. In his mind, he got comfort mixed with frustration and that is why he licked. He wants all of Poppy so bad and has to hold back. He isn't doing too hot right now. We must remember the boy is in the Mafia. A highly abused boy now man whose whole life is fudged up. The Mafia is not where deep wells of sensitivity men who never swear or yell are born. But, to his credit, in almost ever other situation Tora has tried to be his best self with Poppy. Sure he makes mistakes but he tries. He has A LOT on his plate and in love for the first time in a world that could get Poppy killed. I am for this take on real fights and relationship drama. Tora growth will take time and so will Poppy. Good job Lily!

So since this episode was posted, I’ve seen a LOT of anger towards Tora. I don’t think this will change much, but damn folks......take a moment and breathe. We as readers have had weeks to process Tora’s spiral breakdown. Tora has had like two hours at most. We know exactly what’s going on in Poppy’s head and in Tora’s. THEY DONT. Frankly, both of them aren’t acting rationally, and we shouldn’t expect them to, they’re arguing. Think of the day both of them have had. Lots of stress, fear, confusion. This is a argument and misunderstanding. Nothing past that. I sincerely hope folks take a few minutes to think back to earlier episodes and look at their actions around each other. We know this isn’t a Disney fantasy. Lily is giving us a relationship that’s TRYING very hard to grow in a very stressful situation. Have some faith in her storytelling and vision.

Hi guys! 😊 I'm new to this patreon, although I've been loving this webtoon since the begin, eagerly waiting for friday to get another episode. Not just the art and the story are amazing, but also each character development and the similarity with real world relationships... So refreshing. Thank you for creating all of this and sharing it with us Lily! You truly are an outstanding artist and writer! That being said, two questions about this ep: - I didn't get the lick part x) Was it his try to comfort her? Was it just for the heat of the moment? - is the apologize that Poppy mentions the one from ep 46-47? Also, I just want to comment that I find totally understandable Poppy lashing out on Tora for his behavior earlier, although he does have a legit motif for it (the stress, the panic, the trauma). But Poppy is not aware of this (she has some clue obviously, but not the overall picture), nor is she aware of him not remembering what he told her. Of course she would snap at him at some point! And the barista's argument, she was simply saying they were testemonials of his behavior, and he just played the card "you should go get them instead to save you", completely unnecessary and low (she was just attacked by a stranger, how could you say that?!). What she said after was even lower, and her apology was a great and healthy example on how to handle fights (yes, because real relationships have as much fight as happy moments, and that's part of the growth process), so I'm glad she gave the other cheek. However, I sincerely hope Tora understands how deeply he hurt her (and he does know he did wrong, as demonstrated by his monologue on the bridge, on ep 84) and that there are things you simply shouldn't do on a relationship. I think we all want for them to truly know each other (Poppy will have her heart broken once she knows both the physical and mental abuse Tora has suffered his all life, that's a fact) to grow together, to get better together. Although there's a lot of work and communication to be done, in my opinion, they truly belong to each other in the most beautiful way possible. Once again, thank you so much Lily for another great episode! ❤️

Okay so I was hoping for a sleepover romp, but now instead I’m hoping they get some sleep and have the realest conversation ever the next day, a tell-all from tora like he intended in Moonbright, and then a tell-all from Poppy about her “mafia past” and maybe even her disclosing that she is a virgin? Like, let’s throw all cards down on the proverbial table. I realize this may have to wait a while, but I’m dying for all to be revealed so we can move into the phase where they start solving mysteries together, like that of Gil, the notebook, Poppy’s hairpiece, that photo of the little baby thugs from earlier, and Poppy’s mother, for starters. I am desperate for her to go back and find out what Granny needs to tell her. Was Granny mafia and that’s how Grandpa died?

I think this is my favorite episode so far!! I think this moment is a make or break moment for them. Tora screwed up. I think the guilt he is carrying/stress from the day is stopping him from seeing what she is really asking for. I’m so proud of Poppy for not just letting him walk out without saying what is on her mind. I don’t think that is something she would have done in her previous relationship. 🤞🤞🤞Tora takes the time to listen and reflect. (Also hope Gyu is ok!!)

This is a beautiful episode and a very for lack of better term, controversial episode but all in the best ways. The content is raw and real. People are afraid of non-fantasy. I think I have re-read this episode more than any other one (yes even the ones with the blue balls) and I am really excited to see where this goes.

This was another brilliant episode...not only because of the absolutely realistic approach to conflict in an adult relationship, as so many other beautiful people on here have brought up and analyzed, but because of a couple other things I noticed. For starters, that flashback sequence of her attack SHOOK me...my heart still races every time I do another read through! The expression on our poor girl's face absolutely wrecked me. Add in the flashes back and forth between present and past, light and dark, and I felt that anxiety like I was there. Terrifying, but completely brilliant artistic portrayal of the situation. The other thing that caught my eye just now is how there seems to have been a focus on perspective in this and the last few episodes. I may be reaching here, but it feels like we're finally seeing beyond the surface in more ways than one. Like the characters have "let us in" a bit more than previously. The viewpoints from the apartment, for example. In the early episodes, we see her, his, and their combined presence almost as a visitor catching a glimpse from the outside. It's warm, and comfortable, but also guarded. Now, we see different angles, and maybe it's simply that, maybe it's the cooler lighting tones, but it seems more raw, more real. Like how we now see our main characters. They're no longer holding themselves back, showing their flaws in a deeply honest way. This is a level of communication that appears to be new ground for both of them. And it's hard to watch them argue, sure, but it's also beautiful...because they're no longer afraid to tell it like it is. Real relationships, the ones that last, are hard. Compromise is hard. Listening when you're upset is hard. And people fail, all the time...but learning, and making improvements, that's what it's all about. Looking forward to seeing where we're headed next week! (Dying to know what she wrote 🤔😬!) Thanks for another great episode! ❤

Because neither of us can find a pattern and they all have different origins and meanings. Did you have the main characters names picked in advance? Did any characters names change as you wrote them? This was a very complex episode, so I’m going to jump straight in. Poppy looks completely exhausted, bless her. And now she has mentioned it, you can see the connection to how she was back in the office after chin hairs set her creep dar off in a screeching alarm. I can completely relate to her going into a numb state. The way the body copes with extreme stress and shock is both terrifying and incredible. Her grip on him grounding her to the present...Pops, you’ve been through so much. I understand why she would want to be alone when she inevitably allows that delayed fear nightmare to suck her back in, but it does worry me what she tries to carry alone. I loved that little moment of her telling Tora to remove her from him if she’s clinging too hard. What other random stuff does our tiger know? A Mollusc? Pft pft! “’s not clingy if I don’t mind being clung on to…” Welp, my heart went badump with that moment along with Poppy! But here’s where we start to enter unknown territory between them. Poppy...you can stay mad at him. It doesn’t matter that he saved your life; I mean that was awesome, but you don’t owe him anything because of that. And that thought seems to have shook her out of her want to cling on for comfort. I’m thrown by him licking her neck - I know he’s always been tactile with her, but judging by the flush he had and his heart rate rocketing, his head was not in the right place right there. Good for Poppy calling him out slightly on it too! But there’s a shift between them now… I got such a knot in my stomach from Poppy's flashbacks! My chest hurts seeing it, along with her very shaken reaction to Tora going to check on Gyu. She’s got a lot of healing to do to overcome this, or at least find ways of coping with it. I’m not surprised he offered to have the cops come up either. Poppy’s a civilian, so cops to them are supposed to equal a feeling of safety. And as he’s just said it might complicate shit, but if it makes her feel safer that’s what matters. I mean, that’s pretty telling from him! And even more so that Poppy actually feels safer with Tora. I appreciate that he looked at her when he asked if that was true, remembering she’s mad at him, even if he’s not entirely sure WHY. I took his stroking her leg as his small way of trying to offer some comfort. Like I said he’s very tactile with her, but re reading it now I wonder if it was more comfort for him than Poppy? Either way he’s picking up on her discomfort fast. I don’t blame her being miffed about his licking her neck, or the thumb stroke though. As we’ve seen in the flashbacks she was grabbed, she had some unknown person handling her, making her vulnerable and hurt and since those flashbacks keep coming, I would want to curl into myself and away from contact too. Less triggers the better. He might make her feel safe, but on her terms. Even if it is breaking my heart a little to see their body language closed off from each other. She’s got a leg raised causing a barrier between them, her head slightly turned away. Tora is turned even more than her, and seeing that just adds so much weight to this episode. There’s clear signs here that emotions are running very very high… But she does look at him when she asks if she can bunk with him! And that look on his face slayed me! It’s such an almost wounded look that I don’t know how to interpret it properly. But that “‘Course ya can…did ya even need to ask?” he’s just let his guard down again, his body language is open and exposed again. The back and forth of opening and closing between them in a very short amount of time has really built up the tension, unsurprising with such a highly stressful situation that just went down! And it’s only been fifteen minutes in their time, that’s nothing. So of course the shit hits the fan. Did Poppy go about bringing up the coffee shop incident very well with that jab? Probably not. But hey would you after all the crap you went through in the last thirty minutes? Shock can come in different ways, she’s had anger towards Tora bubbling beneath the surface all night, she’s super tense and absolutely not in a good head space right now. She’s having flashbacks for crying out loud. And Tora - who has also just come from a very intense and bad panic attack after losing his very dangerous target he’s been chasing the better part of the day. I know my head is all over the place after I’ve had a panic attack, and he didn’t have time to work through it before he walked into the person he has very very deep emotions for, being held hostage. Adrenaline, shock, fear...that’s a head mix of volatile emotions right there. Throw them both together and we’ve got sparks. Reading it back, there’s some really immature jabs being thrown back and forth between them. Don’t get me wrong, Tora shouldn’t have just about called her a ‘bitch’ - which he stopped himself by the way. BUT, neither of them handled it maturely. And again, no big surprise! And I’d be hard pressed to find someone who HASN’T said something they regret in the heat of the moment… “I’ll have all the fucking cake I wanna eat!!!” Good argument there, tiger. Kudos! Thank you for making me laugh! Pft pft. “...This is fucking ridiculous.” Yes, yes it is. But it killed the tension didn’t it? Here’s my take on him leaving her sitting there...he told her she should call a friend, that she shouldn’t be alone even if she’s feeling better. He called her out, he knows she’s not OK. He doesn’t WANT to leave her alone; he’s stopped in her apartment before she called him. Does anyone really think he would leave the area without knowing she had someone there with her? I think he’d sooner sit in that little booth and watch her from afar. He’s hurting...the woman he cares deeply for was attacked and it scared the ever loving shit out of him. He probably blames himself for it too. He’s just had a big wake up call to her entering his world, whether it's connected to him or not. He’s also someone who likes to know what’s going on around him so he’s not surprised. He doesn’t remember what he said to her at the coffee shop, he’d blanked that out. So having Poppy come at him for something he doesn’t remember or understand did come out of left field to him. So why shouldn't he take a moment to step away from the situation and calm himself down? Poppy’s speech was...pretty breathtaking. Was she the bigger person to apologise first for their argument? Yes. Tora clearly wasn’t in place to do it first. Maybe, I mean he did stop in her apartment so maybe he was working up to it. But as she pointed out she expected him to read her mind and as much as we wish men could, we equally can’t read theirs either and someone needed to be the more mature person here and Poppy was the one to do it. But it was what she said before that, how his apologizing before was healing for her and gave her the tools to step forward now and be the bigger person. I absolutely think Tora will apologise for everything, the coffee shop, the balcony moment. I don’t think it will continue to go unsaid. He’s been raised in such terrible conditions, he has so many demons, he’s going to fall down sometimes. “But that being said. I won’t apologise for how I feel about what you did…” YES!!! That right there is some amazing growth, Poppy! Giving him her speech was a fantastic idea. Not only is it cathartic for her to write it down and get it out, but it takes the pressure off of them both. He can read how she feels and then they can address it together - hopefully! And he didn’t interrupt her once. He let her say whatever she needed and turned to acknowledge her. He didn’t hesitate to take her speech, that’s hope right there. And a much calmer communication. I’m sure there are people who will disagree with what I wrote here, and that’s perfectly fine. I’ve always been someone who tries to put myself in someone else's shoes and look at the big picture when it comes to a situation. And these two have had a hell of a day in separate ways, a hell of a LIFE in different traumatic ways too. Has it led up to a breakdown in communication during a very emotional time? Absolutely! But I think they both had their bad moments in this episode and if anything I found it realistic. And as my good friend, Seazar pointed out, the fact they are arguing shows their familiarity with each other. There’s a reason this happened, and I’m sure we’ll come to see why at some point, no matter how subtle. A complex, intense and realistic episode, Lily! Thank you for reminding us these characters are human! And a big thanks to Seazar for always being there to hear my voice notes and immediately deep diving into these amazing characters and story with me!

I love this story. I love how realistic the character interaction is in their relationship. Neither of them are perfect and they have their moments where their knee-jerk reactions land them in hot water with each other but I think the best thing about Poppy and Tora’s relationship is the fact that they don’t let things fester, they confront and own up to the negative. They may not always do it in a calm manner initially but they both have the self-awareness to recognize that an apology or explanation is necessary and they make it a priority to do it. I’m really curious to see what Poppy wrote. On another note, I’ve got a question. In Poppy’s apology, she says “Two rights don’t make a wrong” instead of “Two wrongs don’t make a right” which is how the phrase usually goes. Is this intentional? What exactly does she mean? I thought maybe it’s something like they both have a right to react and they’re not wrong in doing so but that’s just me grasping at straws.

Lily SUPER episode! ... Read 3 times and now some of my thoughts ... You compared Tora and Poppy. You made them understand that they are in the "adult world" in the world of "reality", which is not Quincey's "Secret Garden". Their living (past, present, future) is not a fairy tale: it is, has been and will be hard. Tora's childhood (whose toughness we understood) Poppy's aggression (which awakened and heightened stronger insecurities): The future between them and individually will be different. We want love between them ... BUT what happened could divide them, separate them forever. They understood this themselves in their quarrel. The words they spat on each other, out of anger and emotional stress woke them up. They understood that there is something different. Their emotions and sensations have expanded to the maximum of possibilities, distancing them from each other. But is their argument really ridiculous? SCREAM "WAKE UP!" Who you love has been attacked! Who you love has treated you badly without a reason ... Talk to him ... Talk to her Listen to him Listen to her. Ask him, ask her WHY ... After the outburst they understood it: Tora (doesn't explicit) because he knows what a shock means ... he knows how it feels. He is sorry, I think so. But he also knows that it is necessary to step aside. Love is not for him (really?) A second chance is not for him (really again?) Poppy understood her heart, she said it in part, she leaves the rest in the note, almost as if she wanted to whisper it to Tora's heart in the solitude of her reading ... As Tora did when he gave her his precious ring ... Poppy is now one step ahead of Tora ... the meaning of her connection with Tora is clear in her heart. Tora is a step back from Poppy. Tora wants to be a step back: he is afraid of what is in his heart and knows that there is darkness in him and he cannot control ... Poppy has got the power now: she can interrupt what was being born with Tora she can decide everything for good or for bad. Will Tora watch? Will Tora do his job as a subject to the mafia? What will he decide to do? The story of the intruder (who he is???) has created many wounds and reopened past ones. Lilly damn… An episode that really tastes like real life!

Thank you for not listening to the complainers’ comments on WEBTOON (which I no longer read the comments on) and continue to give us beautifully broken characters so we can enjoy their development. Some of us appreciate and value characters that naturally fudge-biscuit up, and work towards fixing mistakes. They want to be together, but love is not everything. We need trust. We need to see them progress and work towards better communication. We need them to start loving themselves, and show each other through actions, that they are worthy. This won’t happen over night and it SHOULDN’T. A perfect man/woman is one that admits to faults, faces the consequences, and strives to make sure it won’t happen again. In this episode, Poppy is leading by the example of this. Showing Tora the way. ❤️ I could type more on this but, thank you again Lily. Your hard work and dedication is very much appreciated on this side of the screen 😊

Did anyone else find the end of this episode a bit strange? I mean Poppy's life was just threatened and she's relatively calm and more concerned about getting to a better communication place with Tora. I'm sorry, but I think I would be asking more questions, be a bit more concerned about the whole Mafia thing and now people breaking into the apartment. I love her taking charge and expressing feelings so she won't get run over...but it just seemed like such an odd place to build it into.

If I were poppy I would have said when he said why not ask those barristers: Those barristers didn’t say they miss me, and kissed me, rubbed hand all over me and saw me half naked. They didn’t say I show my finger only if I want him to use it!! I work in that neighbourhood and now that coffeeshop is no longer “a place to go “for me. First you led me on on the romantic side and then embraced me in public and to add salt to injury didn’t show up as you said. I know you were there for me anytime I needed you and I want to be there for you too but I am coming out of long toxic relationship and I don’t want to spend another few years crying Just like today 😔😢
