Other than the obvious thirst trap this episode 👀, I absolutely LOVE the parallelism between Tora's post shower scene and Poppy's way back in S1. There is such a similarity between Tora coming out of his shower, towel on his shoulders, drying his hair, wet body, etc., and Poppy doing the same in S1. In both scenes, they're in their own territory, with the other one being a stranger/new to the territory. And both had a similar reaction to other's... wet body 😂 Back in S1, especially when Tora first went to Poppy's apartment, he still had his guard up, you can see in his expressions he wasn't outright blushing or anything that he does now, but man oh man, was he completely enamored with his hamster- he blatantly checked her out when she wasn't looking. I wouldn't be surprised if Poppy does the same next ep when Tora is "looking" for a spare towel lmao. Another thing I observed was that there's definitely similarities in how back then Tora and now Poppy are entering into new territories. In S1, Tora was entering into a civilan's world for the first time, and now, especially after the talk in the previous ep, Poppy's slowly getting knees deep into the mafia world. They don't have the initial nervousness that they did around each other in S1, but now its a different kind; Tora is nervous Poppy will 'dump' him when she learns everything, and Poppy is nervous being in a relationship again when she's still recovering from her previous one. I can't wait for what happens next, I feel like even if they end up sleeping in separate rooms, neither of them will be able to get much sleep 🤭

As if the preview of Tora’s delicious and frankly sinful abs didn’t get my excitement levels raised, then this episode definitely did! I didn’t realise how much I missed it just for 1 week until I started getting jittery nerves as it got closer. I kept waking up and finding I still wasn’t closer to 2am much to my disappointment. But damn this woke me up real quick when I started reading it! I had zero ideas of what to expect, other than hopefully an unhinged jaw from Poppy.  We were close to that, but we also got some unexpected big bro and Gyu wrestling, and I am so, so freaking OK with that. Just saying. Alright, let's see if I can start to make any sense. Gyu’s looked nervous as hell right now, staring down Tora like that. Poor bloke has literally been ripped from what was probably a pretty solid sleep to chase down a dumbass who then yeets themselves over a fence to get away in a flipping boat! I’d still be five steps behind still in the guard house, trying to figure out what the fuck was going on. Then he had to deflect Mrs Haru and the neighbours? Oof! Tin foil hat time! Were the three other units that had been broken into just a cover so it wouldn’t appear as though Poppy was targeted? And hey while you’re going that far why not just steal some jewellery while you’re at it. Seazar made a great point in wondering if they just didn’t know which one was Poppy’s. I mean these people have skills. To climb the way they did, then toss themselves over the fence like that…these aren’t petty burglars. A freaking BOAT get-away? For a split second there I thought to myself, ‘Hmm, this is kinda screaming Goliath at me.’ but I still think he’s on the run somewhere away from Narin City so I scrapped that just as fast. But still, who has the freaking nerve to make a leap that bloody high? Sheesh! I’m masking my nerves at these guys at the humor of their speeding away an poor Gyu just gripping those bars like, ‘I’m so fucked,’ He was fast to take Poppy out of the equation. But I did panic a little myself that he did that without checking with her first. I doubt she would have gotten them involved because of Tora. But she doesn’t know - we think - that this could be related to her connection to Tora and Quincey, so why wouldn’t she have a passing thought of getting the police involved. She’s taking more steps into their world and away from the ‘safety’ of civilian life with this new problem.  I would say poor baby Gyu getting hit with the real question the second he tries to take a breath. But our dude holds his own! He’s got steel nuts for sure. He didn’t beat around the bush! And seeing Poppy sitting on the bed just not watching this moment escalate fast made me laugh!  “And be a fucking charity case??” Feel ya, Gyu! So not only has he been picked on for falling asleep but now his pride has been doubly wounded. No bloody wonder he gave as good as he got!  Eeek! I thought Poppy would have been checking on her brooch when she went to her jewellery, but seeing her hold the ring and bracelet and note so close to her, that’s saying a whole lot right there about how she feels about Tora. Not just because of what they mean to him, but the significance of him giving them to her. Essentially he was handing over his trust when he gave them to her too. And now I feel the need to go back to the Regina’s Peak arc and their birthday party just to re-read those gorgeous moments of the ring and bracelet.  Of course that thought disappeared the second I read Gyu almost call out Tora on telling Poppy the truth of how deep into the mafia he is. That ‘BAAM!’ made me sit up pretty bloody quick, anxious to see what the hell Tora did to shut him up quick. And I was SHOOK! Here we have another moment of, ‘Oh yeah! Tora is in fact a flawed individual who throws his weight around, even with his friends. Another reminder he’s not perfect. I love it!’ Literally, all of that. I just nodded along like, welcome to witnessing his dark side Poppy.  Except she didn’t seem scared! Just like, what the hell is happening? That - ‘What should I do?? Just…let them slug it out…?’ was quite telling! And so my interest just piqued even more! When Gyu said, “Stay outta this, Miss Poppy. I’m done with this fucking bully.” I howled! Not only does he stay respectful to Poppy, but I was so surprised to see him stand up to Tora like that! I was cheering him on, best believe! I mean shit, it’s been a hell of a day and night for them ALL! And the tensions just kept building. So of course that’s where Lily comes in with the humour to diffuse it quickly and make us realise that actually this is pretty harmless and we should just sit back and enjoy the show. And damn did I ever! I laugh hard every single time I see the, “...ya don’t have to behave like a big, fat, prick.”, the bra *flop*ping out of the cupboard, “At my big, fat, prick? Every fucking day, punk!”, Gyu is pulling Tora's HAIR!! Tora has a hand shoved in Gyu’s face…I CANNOT!!! Each time I think I find a new favourite humour moment Lily comes along and drops an even better one and I’m back to trying to gather the scattered pieces of my soul. And Poppy’s just standing there watching.  I repeat, I CANNOT! My cheeks hurt from grinning so much! You bless us in so many ways, Lily! OK, anyone else personally relieved to find the reason Tora broke Gyu’s leg wasn’t totally because he was being a total arsehole? Because seeing that flashback to them wrestling and Gyu throwing some kind of paddy and Tora just snapping his leg like it was nothing, was actually a relief to me. Up until now I’d envisioned something a lot worse. So although it still looks painful as hell, apparently this isn’t the first time Gyu has gone toe to toe with his big bro. Who lets face it, is curbing himself in Poppy’s apartment.  Whoop, go Poppy!! You tell ‘em girl! I got my entertainment, it was just as fun to watch her put them both back in their places.  I think Tora was relieved that Poppy chose to go with him, Surprised! But relieved. And stepping out to calm down was a wise move. Even if it did leave Poppy with someone who isn’t comfortable with silence. Cause boy did he offload while he was half heartedly clearing up the plant. “I know he looks like a God, and shit. But he can be a real dumbass like the rest of us mortals.” Hmm, another nod to take Tora off his pedestal. Which I’m all here for! But I loved that Gyu isn’t, hero worshipping him either. He doesn't want Poppy to get a bad idea of Tora, but he’s clearing his own mind of how annoyed he gets with him too. I gotta say, I am loving all this extra Gyu time! The way he’s working through his own stuff without even realising it. “My stupid old ass is here to pick ya up from daycare.” Eeeek, I love that they are back to this friendly banter again! We’ve had such a delicious insight into their broship! You could tell there was no real weight behind their tantrums, but it’s still nice to know that despite it they bounce back just as quick. And that Tora calmed down and didn’t want to stay away any longer than he needed to, as well. There’s been such an up and down of emotion the last few episodes that this much lighter one was such a welcome relief.  Pft pft, peep the bra! Gyu acting like a kid not catching on added to the hilarity of this episode. “Oi…I appreciate the shit ya do for me…got that?” *wipes a tear away* That’s it Tora, tell him how you really feel. This man! I swear, he just slays me with his backwards compliments and expressing himself. I don’t want him any other way! “A mantrum a day keeps the intruders awa - “ STOP MAKING ME LAUGH, MY RIBS HURT!! *I kid, keep the laughs coming, they’re soothing my soul!*  “Enough to not get dumped.” Ermmmm, judging by the flush to Poppy’s cheeks she’s a bit surprised to hear that! Because there’s more she needs to hear? Or - let's face it - because he just made an assumption they’re becoming something that can be ‘dumped’. Whatever it is I am curious to see if that comes back at some point! What a day she’s had…really. So I spent the whole episode just waiting for that ab shot to come into play. Even though I was enjoying the hair pulling from Gyu, I was still hyper aware the whole way through, that we hadn’t seen him all topless and wet and Godly and just DAMN! So to have it at the end and leaving us on a cliffhanger of those perfect freaking abs - I almost screamed! I mean, each time I read it and scroll to find we don’t get more I do throw a mini tantrum myself. But gah! Poppy has glimpsed them at last! I want her to get all up close and personal. You know, to check out his tats. 😏 SERIOUSLY! This God - I mean man! SERIOUSLY! I have no other words because my mouth has gone dry and my brain is mush,  *unintelligible noises” I'm trying to pull myself together to finish this, but it’s so hard with this picture of Tora right there in front of me looking illegal. But I can’t bring myself to turn it away, so… Lily, thank you! Thank you for delivering such a funny, stellar and light chapter! It was everything I needed. This little tease is going to make the next week torture to get through, but I’ll do my best. I adored this chapter and hope this conveys that properly. All the kudos!

Between Tora’s “told her enough to not get dumped” and Poppy safekeeping Tora’s ring, bracelet, and good-bye note in a heart-shaped box (and her worrying if the items were stolen!), they are so clearly in a relationship 💜 even if Poppy considers herself hesitant about commitment and Tora chalks his feelings up to a crush. You don’t say or do those things if you’re just seeing someone casually, and I am dying to see if they’ll continue this conversation at Tora’s apartment (among other things 👀). WHEW that last panel with those MUSCLES and TATTOOS and EYES in that LIGHTING…looks like it’s Poppy's turn to give Tora his signature hungry eyes. Lily, how you spoil us so and the week before the holidays no less 🥰🥰🥰
