So. All kidding aside, this episode was so beautiful. Her telling him the ring was the first thing she checked for, her clutching it to her heart during his shirt lived (ah hah) story and handing it to him to see for himself while it was in the heart shaped box, was just absolutely beautiful! Him calling her Poppylan, not Bobby, we have only seen him say that a few times. The cute way that Poppy was clapping for him when he stuck the landing with his cat like reflexes. Tora losing focus on fixing the swing from her patting the butt. Then you have her NOT flinching away (at least in this episode) when he touches her. Those close ups that we get, they are really looking at each other. And of course his teef! 🤤 Next weeks episodes cock block is gonna be a stupid security guard telling them to stop making out at a playground. Hahaha Like every little thing about this was just ah *chefs kiss*

First off, thank you, Lily, for this comic, this story, and all the effort you continously pour into it. It has been my favorite webtoon discovery this year (893 episodes worth, according to my year end review 👀), and this little community here has been so much fun to be a part of. So, thank you again. I hope you are able to adequately rest and recharge in January with some much deserved time off. THAT SAID... I love this part of the story. I love Regular Guy Tora. I love that after all the high energy and high emotion and danger and hurt feelings of the day... that they're getting to just unwind together in such a cute, ordinary way. I feel like there's a heart wrenching story coming, beyond Joe simply having died. I love that Poppy brought the ring with her, and she was able to calm his nerves that way, after he reached for it reflexively and found it not there. I love that Poppy's getting to see him be a real person. Who can cook (even a little), and who knows the name of an obscure, silly looking bird, and who tends toward modesty despite being built like a freaking brick wall. I love that they're back on Tora's (quiet) home turf after spending the night together at Poppy's modest, quiet home turf in Moonbright earlier in the week. They're intentionally playing in the rain this time, whereas that little midnight swim was not quite planned. And I live everything about that moment on the swings... from her calling him a dad to him flying off and 🌟specTACularly🌟 nailing that landing... to the reappearance of the Moonbright family and Tora trying so hard to fix the broken swing. And then Poppy slapping her wet booty and Tiger Boy trying SO hard to control himself. Then top it off with the cute, intimate little moment on the top of the swingset... unwinding like just a couple of average folks with beers, and Tora letting his guard down. Laughing and telling stories about a couple of his favorite people... even if it ultimately doesn't have a happy ending. And then calling her Poppylan and telling her how cute she is. Not asking for anything in return, or trying to manipulate her. Not calling her sexy. Just... cute. While blushing. And cupping her face to kiss her. GAH. Tora might not be very good at storytelling, but hotdamn, YOU are, Lily. THANK YOU!

Gahhh what a cozy episode to finish up the year! What more could you ask for…we have emotional connection, a booty-dazed and blushing tiger, physical intimacy, Poppy cursing, Tora and Joe, AND even Gyu’s bowel movements make an appearance. So maybe I am just looking too much into it. Maybe it was just an oversight and left out due to time constraints but I did notice that in this episode, he didn’t have his clan tattoo. It’s almost as if, that part of him, is shedding. Yes that’s what he was groomed to be and he still is part of but that’s not all he is anymore. The more they are together, the more of who Tora is outside of the organization is becoming more and more clear to her. It was a brand but not who he really is. The potential he has. And I know he hasn’t gone into full disclosure of what he does, what he did or the notebook but he is opening up more. But that’s just my 2 cents. Again I could be totally off but I just found that interesting

This whole episode made me giggle. From Tora breaking the swing and being yeeted, to the ex-guard from Poppy’s apartment complex avoiding Tora. To Tora’s six fingers and me quoting the Princess Bride, “The Six Finger Man” and his pent up frustration at Poppy smacking her own bottom. The torture… the slow burn... I am a glutton for this punishment. And squealed in excitement when Poppy unlocks her PRAISE KINK in this episode. ✨ Is this air because it’s SUSTAINING ME! Happy New Year! Tora definitely flew into 2022 by having his soul leave his body as he shot off that swing in this episode! But not before I felt the gut punch of him talking about Joe. I tell you any and all information I get on this elusive man is like a drug to me. I’m so invested in his character and Alice. But I can’t deny the opposites of how they both reacted to hearing about someone dying who was close to them. Tora said, “He dead?” about Poppy’s dad, and she looks so sad and shook not knowing what to say hearing about Joe. They really do a great job of balancing each other out. Most of the time! Side note, I love the brightness of her outfit compared to the dull shades of Tora’s apartment. She’s like a beacon in that place. Not only does she look cute as hell, but the colours are so vivid and pull my attention as much as the subject they’re circling around. My heart thumped really hard when he went to touch the ring and realised it had been put at risk with Poppy’s break in. As if we didn’t know he was stressed enough, the cigarette definitely proved it. The fact there’s only one in that ashtray shows how hard he’s trying not to do it around Poppy. It’s breaking my heart a little seeing him sitting there with his hands clasped together like that. Someone needs to give this man a hug asap! His reaction to the ring potentially going missing and verbalising that, was gut punch number one of the episode! I’m starting to think his giving her the ring was a knee jerk reaction he hadn’t completely thought through. I don’t think he regrets giving it to her, but maybe he was just so caught up in not wanting her to forget their time together and that he didn’t have anything else to give for her birthday. But the fact she told him it was the first thing she checked for, I hope gives him the reassurance she’s taking care of it and knows the importance, even if she didn’t know at the time who it was from. Seriously Poppy, please give him a cuddle! He looks so vulnerable and sad just before he asks if she wants to go for a walk; there’s gut punch number 2 for me. “I thought chicks dig this shit.” Tora stop, this romantic side to you is too much! I can’t take it…pft pft! Seeing him awkwardly hold the umbrella over her, totally clueless, made me giggle. And he seemed oblivious to her sassy reply. I could shake these two plonkers sometimes. I’m with Poppy, playgrounds are fun! I might be at a park more now thanks to my kids, but my chances of an uninterrupted go on the swings is slim. So I appreciated that she embraced this and ran for them! “Stop being such a dad, OMG…” Poor Tora, I highly suspect he’s not had many opportunities to just go to a playground and piss around like kids do. How often does he get to throw caution to the wind and not give a shit if the seats are wet on the swing? Rarely if ever…so his constant protective mode must be pretty exhausting. Oh boy, he definitely got some good air with that jump off the swing! I knew I would be enjoying more well placed comedic timing from the preview. But I still wasn’t expecting this and I laughed for a while just going back and forth between the start and the pretty fucking impresive landing he nailed. Cats always land on their feet, right? I’ve flown off a swing many times and I have never landed on my feet like this tiger did. But yeah, his soul definitely detached itself from him for a second there. That cross-eyed look is hilarious!! He makes it look so easy and suave, but I bet his heart was in his throat for a second! And then he got busted by the Moonbright family… Question, what is the time here? I’ve gone back over the last few episodes starting from when he tried to call her and Gyu along with the balcony sensor alarm. And if I’ve worked it out right, taking into account we don’t need to see what they’ve been doing every second of the night, it must be very early morning. Maybe somewhere between 7-8am? But with it raining and overcast it’s hard to figure out just how early. So neither of them have slept, which I can kind of understand. Going through the shock Poppy has it either leaves you wired or wipes you out - I’d be dead on my feet! But it can’t be early early morning, otherwise the Moonbright family are sus for having their very young children out in the drizzly rain just for a go on the swings before heading home…Although the kid says, “But it’s our last night here!” So now I'm back to being confused…Someone fill me in if you have the answers pretty please. I’ve already seen some wild tin foil hat theories about them. I’ve loved reading them! OK, back to the episode. What a little brat! So rude of her to call a complete stranger a butthole and her dad for not even batting an eye at it! Just cause he’s jelly his wife got a bit weak kneed the last time they saw Tora, all professor like…*coughs* But he definitely recognised him with that definitive ‘nope.’ Aw Poppy clapping his landing skills in the background! But who ya fooling with that innocent bum smacking, Pops? You wanted to distract him from his guilt about the swing. Skipping around while saying, “Do what?” I applaud you, Poppylan. Well played, ma’am! Well played…Tora’s own distraction techniques never fail to make me shudder and laugh too! How did he squeeze himself in that little play house? Although they’re all close and cosy almost so that's a start…and we’re back to Joe! Poppy looks nervous as she brings it up and I did almost expect him to clam up about it. But I’m glad he didn’t and he is opening up to her more. “Once a clan gives you a name, there’s rarely a way out.” I’m going to run with the word ‘rarely’ here and tuck it away in my hope box! What clan was Joe in? I need to go back and reread the flashback episodes with Joe. Hell, who am I kidding? I’m dying for a complete re-read of the whole series! Only fucking Alice would carry on a poker game while in labour! The woman is a legend, bahaha! He looked so happy as he was telling the story, smiling and caught up in the telling. It’s like a weight lifted when I see him smiling like that. Genuinely uplifted because those moments are so, so rare. Then Poppy burst my bubble by crying and telling him he’s a shitty story teller. I mean I’m laughing - because it’s so apt for these two and she didn’t cutesy the swear word. But at the time I was like, no no no! I want more of the story! But she really was affected by it, those aren’t just a few tears for him. So I got a double punch there! Gah, the way he’s holding her face in his hand, the blush to his face when he calls her cute…full blown colour that doesn’t fade even as he leans closer to kiss her. At least I THINK he is because we’ve been left on a cliffhanger and I’m going to die soon if I don’t see a kiss from them soon. Or more of that fun story about Joe! Either way I wasn’t ready for that ending and now I feel like I need to run a few laps around the street or something to burn off the jitters I have. And I don’t do running…ever! Pft pft. I adored the art work of this chapter, the colours of the sky, Poppy’s outfit against Tora’s dark one. It was such a true pleasure to your eyes, I sometimes forget to just sit back and take in all the background work too. I get so caught up in the actual story. But when I do remember to read again without actually reading and it always blows my mind! Thank you for all your hard work you put into this amazing story, Lily! And leaving me with lady blue balls…ha!

I love how each episode builds on the previous one, plotlines develop, appear, recede into the background for fomenting, and the romance continues at a realistic and natural pace. none of the popular fiction of just jumping into bed, this is a classic in hte making and I'm so glad Lily's writing it naturally rather than forcing events to happen. well done Lily-Girl. very well done indeed!
