It’s been many moons since I’ve had the mental stamina to type one of these out so bear with me but… god this was an exceptional chapter 😭❤️😍 Gonna number this because my brain is unorganized and this chapter made me wanna go on a million tangents… 1. So the body language is off the charts from the start of this episode. It’s so fascinating seeing the difference in how the boys act when Tora is doing the advising versus Quincey being the “big bro” here. When we saw them in the parking garage of Quincey’s ex-publisher, Tora crouched down to Quincey’s level, looked him in the eye, and when Quincey tried to deflect with humor Tora bashes him over the head, then hits Quincey with some heartfelt, big brotherly truth (here I’m calling Tora a hypocrite though as HE’S certainly one to use humor as an avoidance tactic too). But Tora gets real, gets in Quincey’s face, but softly gives him support and with a bit of pity in his eyes. TORA pities QUINCEY. Ironic no? But here, Quincey comes in to do the supporting, and while he gets on Tora’s level, he crosses his legs, just like Tora. Neither one of them is comfortable here. But he stays on the other side of the wall, facing away from his friend, giving him the space he needs (now tangent- but this is how you socialize a scared cat.... which is very telling. You don’t look them in the eye, you just sit near them, generally facing away or “ignoring them” with your posture. You might trail a hand near them but don’t try to touch them, you talk to them, let them know you’re there and wont hurt them. Sound familiar? Anddddddd back to the episode- ) Quincey’s next line is telling too... despite the look of pity I swore I saw in Tora’s eyes in earlier episodes, he doesn’t want Quincey or Poppy to pity *him*. Even more than that, he doesn’t want them to feel anything but supported, not pitied themselves. He’s worried about his image.... which is 100% a theme in this whole comic (his clothing changes, insecurity about his speech patterns when Poppy points them out, etc). And he’s always worried about everyone else feeling the same stress- Quincey being hard on himself, Poppy not dressed appropriately for a fancy restaurant... I mean. WHAT A MUSH. He’s so cute and soft and caring and I’m gonna cry so… moving on 😭😭😭 2. HE BOUGHT THE HOUSE FOR HER. This is.... a lot. (Also what’s with that spelling of his “name”? Filing away for another time.) But really- gift giving might be one of his love languages after all. And the fact he ran to Quincey to help him is extra cute. Like... he knows he will need help to keep his cheap ass in line. And “she said maybe” is my new favorite line in this series. I NEED IT ON A SHIRT. She said she might want to leave and Tora went into super planner protection mode. This is husband material okay? And yes Quincey’s points later are all valid. This isn’t sane behavior and Poppy needs a fucking say in her life but for now LET ME FIND IT CUTE OKAY?! 3. Tora breaking all the pens. Adorable. The receptionist is Kuro Mono 100% 😂 She will get her BL angle if only in her dreams 😈 Ooookay…the receptionist is probably most of us actually. If this comic doesn’t make you question your sexual preferences you’re not reading it correctly. 4. THIS IS NOT HOW HOME BUYING WORKS 🤣🤣🤣 If I could get into a dream house like this as fast as Tora did, I’d sign up for the mafia too. I mean, it makes sense- cash is quick. And it’s a comic. So logic checks out that way but damn next time I move I’m hiring Lily to be my agent 😂🙏 Get me a manor like that please and thank you. (Also selling the cars- THIS MAN IS IN LOVE) 5. Mega Clearance Sale LOLOL cheap ass mafia daddy 6. The three R’s vs the three C’s. Honestly? FUCK YEAH. I’ll take a house over a diamond any day THANK YOU VERY MUCH. This man is proposing in all but words. Although he can keep the rifle 🤣 7. Quincey’s talk about trying to help people without expecting anything in return hit me in the self-insert feels 🙈🙈 I cant be the only one who constantly overthinks being nice as a knee jerk reaction, then worries it seems disingenuous?! Or manipulative?? I need to think about this. This comic is going to be my next therapy topic... BUT THAT “SAVING EVERYONE” LINE. HALP. The feels. It hurts. Quincey is the comic relief we need (Why is Lily SO good at the one-two punch of really fucking important deep shit.... covered by humor?!) But really... this... this is something as we do more rereads we will see a pattern of. Tora trying to save everyone. Hello- Opening scene with Goliath anyone?! 8. Break of the 4th wall ALWAYS appreciated. 9. “Having a tough time shouldering the silence” .... *Cries in Vincent’s isolation cage* God this is the worst fucking punishment for Tora and Imma cry again 😭 💔 And Poppy would too if she realized how effective this is and why… 10. Quincey coming in with the truth- She’s a scared little hamster right now 🐹 She’s burrowsing, giving the silent treatment, and you best believe she’ll bite Tora if he tries so much as a hand shake right now …and it won’t be the kind of bite he’s into… But this angle works on Tora. Fear is something he understands and is sensitive to. And he’s already gone to so much trouble to stop her from having to be afraid… but some things need a more complicated solution than a security detail and a fucking mansion in a clan neutral territory, buddy. Sorry. 11. Quincey is actually super conscientious. Look at him announcing his presence with the shoe scrape! Love this man. Also I think Lily’s work ethic might be peeking out of Poppy’s character… silly perfectionists 🤣❤️ 12. THAT DREAM. Okay i’ve been having the most vivid, most telling, most insane dreams for the last few months and this was perfect. And I always wake up disoriented in a strange place the first night. But… Tora and Quicney AND Poppy spooning?! Do I have a nosebleed? Yes. Is Patty deceased from her own dirty thoughts exploding? Yes. Do we need to break this down? YES. Quincey is the Big-Big Spoon here! I’m sensing that Quincey is the life blood of this comic… just saying. He puts his neck on the line a LOT of this couple….and he’s literally holding them together here… He’s exhausted and haggard but damn it this soft boi is gonna be a strong boi in the end. I’m counting on you Quincey. Keep these two safe for me 😭❤️😭❤️ Goddess help me. New. Favorite. Chapter.

Tonight was a whole ass therapy sequence and for it to end with canon threesome snuggling?! I’m hoping the next ep starts with an 80s movie *record scratch* *freeze frame* Poppy: you’re probably wondering how I ended up in this position 😂 especially with her red booty shorts, a sexy tank, and some belly showing 👀 we see you naughty Poppy and we applaud you 💅👏 I adore how Quincey sweetly reciprocates Tora’s “Dr. Phil” qualities right back at him and builds him back up while speaking the truth 🥺(which is why I’m so hesitant about a possible love triangle!). Their brotherly connection is so nuanced but seems to push back against the isolation that Vincent likely wanted Tora to grow up and live in. I’d like to say more but my brain short-circuited with Quincey big spooning Tora!! What I always appreciate about MPL is how the symbolism through lighting and body language comes out so organically. It feels especially apt here, with Tora’s reserved aura in the car until the “you don’t have to save everyone line,” or Tora and Quincey on opposite sides of the sliding door, one in light and openness and the other in a dark, secluded corner. Even the tone shifts seamlessly from adorable/heartbreaking (he bought her a house in one day!!? And sold his cars?!) to humor (hello Poppy’s poor hearing 😂). Everything is beautifully choreographed and nothing ever feels forced. 💖

Tell me about poppys' subliminal dreams? I definitely understand how she feels trapped walrus boxers. Obviously, that's Tora. On another note, Toras name is actually T012A. This could be some type of document number from the orpahnage. He ran away from the orphanage and somehow ended up getting taken in by Mr. Balthuman, could this be his number in the Mafia that was given to him when he was tattooed? According to what he already said to Poppy in moonbright, his mom didn't take care of him properly. Did she give him that name, or is it possible he changed his name to that leaglly so he can't be traced because he was buying a house? So this is like dodge the Mafia 101... ? The Ah I see it's in your ID from Quinston so it it just a number in his ID? They somehow all woke up half naked I can't wait for these flash backs.

Aww so Tora's name came from what im assuming his identification in the orphanage or from vincent when he was technically buying him like a product--i assume "t" is his first initial, the "012" is his id number, and the "a" is his last initial maybe "asura" since we know hes a descendant from that clan-- this is just a theory based on how he wrote his name like "t012a" -- also i like how quinceton in the flashback explained how poppy might feel towards HOW tora is going about everything to fix their distrust right now, it really calmed down the reasons i was kinda angry at tora so im glad there was an explanation, hopefully they talk soon, and i hope we get a flashback of whatever happened that night bc ummmm theyre all so cute on the floor but theres no way she would just lay down with two brawly men after being mad at one of them for lying to her sooo, im happy that they seem close enough in that last scene that theyre back to at least being the same room as each other Sorry for the long post, but i really liked this episode in terms of perspective bc weve been seeing the past few in poppys eyes now that we see quincetons thoughts and how he speaks to tora its nice 👍 another great job again lily 🤌 Also on an unrelated but kinda related note im getting a new tatami mat and shikibuton soon so this just reminded me how im excited for my grandma to send me those bc of the last few panels lol nothing more to add 😅😅 (I reposted from the sneak peek post bc i realized it was in the wrong post lol sorry)

They have definitely drink a lot of 🍻🍻 last night and I got a feeling Tora and Poppy finally got an alone moment to have serious/apology conservation before Quincey interpret their moment. But seeing them spooning together?! Whew! I can see Poppy questioning herself what she has done from last night...Girl, you better not do with Quincey and if you do, I will grasp my hair so hard and curse a lot of words! BUT WAIT! I notice Quincey is holding them together as he guarded them. Maybe one of them have bad nightmares to keep Quintey awake from one of them until one hour later, I bet...His face says that. 😧 He could be exhausted when he wakes up. Anyway, I don’t think there are love triangles between them because what I see between Tora and Quincey is that seem to have had a small brotherly relationship since they were young. I mean Quincey comes in with Tora and supporting him for what is Tora doing or needs. Yeah, they do pity each other and both are a pain in the ass to each other from what I notice and that’s okay 😅 (It make me laugh when Tora toss Quincey out of his car is such best one!) 🤣🤣 They have a strong bond that can’t break. 💙 Btw Poppy seems she have developed a feeling for only one is Tora because he saved her few times, Quincey does not. I am talking about previous episodes, gentlemen, and ladies. They start to spend time together as a bargain, considering both have what the other wants (Tora wants the notebook Poppy doesn’t know she has it and Poppy wants Tora to love her which he confessed in his thoughts). As the story progresses, they have grown much to like each other in comparison to when they first met in episode 1, it makes mutual that Poppy has slowed down to develop a feeling for Tora but it takes a lot and a lot of time. I believe Poppy and Qujncey Is way more of a sister and brother relationship like Poppy and Erdene. Oh boy! I can't wait to see the next episode to see what is going on besides them from last night. Ooooh! So nervous! ❤️❤️

Hi everyone and Hi Lily... after the February shoot...I've been reading and re-reading the last few episodes until I get to tonight's episode. Let's start with our Poppy. She's a girl She's a girl with testicles, who doesn't let herself be fooled. But who is afraid of her weaknesses and fears... and who has realized in her heart (even if she doesn't want to admit it out loud) that Tora is the only one who makes her safe, even if he makes her angry like few others (but that's how it is in love). Quincey is friend (to Poppy) and Brother and Talking Soul (to Tora). He can read their souls. The only one who has spoken plainly to both of them about their love and sexual frustration in wanting each other. Is the voice of Tora's heart, and more. Tora in this episode is unexpected (even for him). He feels guilty for involving him in her world of danger and maifia and wants in every way to protect her (he buys a house !!!!! he does everything for her safety and not expecting anything in return) and steps aside...as long as she is okay, feels protected, feels safe. I didn't expect such a "caring" Tora who is ashamed for what he does (for the mafia) but also for who he is (perhaps a little illiterate and of uncertain origins) . He feels inferior to Poppy, not only for what he does but also for what he is and he understands and will understand if Poppy won't love him even if he hopes for it (Tora in my opinion you have hopes) The end. Poppy wrapped by the arm of Tora (an arm that protects) What did they do? Beer is dangerous... Lilly ...very very beautiful these super episodes...Thaks a lot!.

So my groggy ass still re-reading this episode.... But just sort of scatter pulling shit apart. First off: I feel like Tora tries to “save” everyone because nobody has tried to save him. The dude doesn’t ask for help really.....and it’s also why he doesn’t ask if he can help. He just does. Also, the entire “must buy the Hamster a house so she feels safe and can build a appropriate stinky nest” sequence has me WHEEZING. Tora went from 0 to 10,000 in 0000.67 seconds. All the frantic “MUST FURNISH HOUSE” expressions. Bless that entire sequence. I will never be over Quincey’s bed head. Sorry. Bedraggled Quincey lives in my brain Rent Free now. “Bitch did you propose?” BWHAHAHAHAHAAAAA! Bless Quincey and his logical reactions. “A Human House.” It concerns me that Quincey needed clarification and Tora was totally chill with his buddy assuming he would just randomly buy a dog at 2am..... Also: Tora just walking around like a old timey cartoon Bank Robber with sacks of cash to buy a house. Sir. BANK. CHECK. No? I mean, whatever works I suppose. I just enjoy the imagery. Can we take a moment to appreciate Tora just yeeting Quincey out of his car? He’s not very aerodynamic, is he? 🤣🤣🤣 The boxers. Please never give Tora normal boxers. I will cry. On a more serious note: I feel like we got a healthy look into Tora’s brain this episode, and Quincey developed a lot too. I think their friendship is great. I truly do appreciate that Quincey is trying to legit help Tora as much as he can, with buying a house AND with Poppy. I do hope Poppy actually talks with Tora soon. She has every single right to be upset and scared. No debates there. And she absolutely needs time to process, but talking might be the only way to properly heal..... This was a wonderful episode, I enjoyed every single moment of it. 💚💚💚

I’m late to the party cuz life 😭 but this episode was epic!!!! First off is my Daddy Tora borderline broke after buying the house? 🥲 Secondly the last panel was cute!! Sooo I’m guessing the beds are coming on Tuesday so that’s why they are bunking on the FLOOR?? Of course Tora is sleeping like baby because he is used to sleeping on the floor anyway, he finally gets some rest after all the running around , quick fixes and adrenaline as a new home owner and he can finally sleep well knowing Poppy is out of danger and safe with him for now. Our Quincess is blue because he’s probably not used to sleeping on the floor and had a hard time falling asleep?? The biggest mystery is why is Poppy in bed with my two favorite very shirtless and sexy Cinnabons??? Lily I would kill to be Poppy rn waking up w/ two very sexy and muscular hunks w/ morning *ahem* ahem* wood ahem** I can understand Quincy and Tora are bffs so this is normal for them but I am dying to know 2 things: a.how did Poppy end up w/ these two MOFO’s ? b. how Poppy kept her big ass titties from spilling out in that tank top whilst sleeping. I have small boobies but when I sleep in tank tops my boobs always escape to the sides or even the neck area in a very ungracious fashion 😂 Sheesh I had to type this like 5 times before I could finally post them in one post Also Lily you keep beating your record!! I absolutely loved this episode! I didn’t realise how much I needed a Quincey perspective until we had it. Being able to dive into his thoughts was such a treat and had me grinning - and trying not to cry on occasion - throughout! I love our Quincess, his humour never fails to make me laugh. And the sheer length of this one was immense! I’m so grateful for anything we get. So when they’re extra long I feel like I've hit the jackpot! I don’t know what it is about them talking either side of this wall/door, but I love that they did have a pretty honest conversation. It speaks of their familiarity with each other from what was said and that they don’t need to be facing each other to do it. I felt like it was Quincey giving Tora a little space to sort through his thoughts too. I took in all of what Quincey said, about Poppy not seeing it as being brought off or as a charity case, and her appreciating his ‘effort’ to keep her safe. And I appreciate them trying to put themselves in her shoes to see how it could come across. But it was another reminder to me that they really need to have a conversation so there’s no guessing what the other is thinking or feeling. They are absolutely doing the best they can to help her and make it as smooth as uprooting her life as possible. But shit, it’s a lot to take in regardless. Eeek, I loved this flashback! I’ve seen so much debate around his name and if it’s really his or one given to him, etc. I think Tora is absolutely his given name, in episode 75 he tells Poppy he was sent to the orphanage when he was four or five, after his pa died and his ma couldn’t take care of him. Where the numbers come in, I’m not sure. And I hope it’s not something to do with Vincent and some kind of number he was given as a child along with others because that makes me want to burst into tears for baby and adult Tora. So whether we get more clarification on that or not, I’ll step back from that for now. Where the hell does Tora buy his pants from? Because they’re amazing!! I love these funky and weird designs. It’s such a fun little insight into the quirky side of Tora. But back to the big news…Tora brought a fucking house so Poppy would be safe? Bloody hell! I really thought I was on track as seeing him trying to create a little something for himself away from the clan, neutral territory or not. But this is huge! I’m reluctant to say he brought the house FOR Poppy, because that’s something that if I was in Poppy’s shoes would be running for the hills. No matter what the intention was behind it, that’s mind blowing and not something she needs to feel she ‘owes’ him for. But I hope this is something he can put himself into, something he can think about aiming for as an end goal if he somehow does find a way out of the clan. I was full blown laughing at them sitting there in their underwear, Quincey asking if he proposed and to stop being cheap. There were so many one liners and quips from Quincey that I would end up just quoting the whole episode if I shared all of my favourites. But it's like sugar directly into my veins getting to read any kind of bonding between these two because of how different they are. Shit, I’m grinning just thinking about them! Can we take a moment to acknowledge Tora’s nerves kept snapping the pens, Quincey was running with the ‘Are you two getting engaged?’ comment. And Tora who is either too distracted by the paperwork to notice, or genuinely doesn’t give a shit that people make that assumption; it is such a riot to me! “Oh please, use all the peens - I mean pens you need.” Bahaha! I snorted so hard at that! “On second thoughts, don’t bother. Our offspring would be a monstrosity.” Harsh but hilarious Quince! Poor Tora is a wreck. And I’m not gonna lie, I like seeing this awkward side of him. Was I the only one who just presumed Tora had tons of money and was basically rich? No shame in investing cash into cars! And definitely better for Tora to have brought the house in full, it’s an investment regardless. But I was surprised that it means he’s much lower in funds now. Although Quincey’s version of ‘cheap’ and the rest of us are no doubt totally different. I can’t see him taking on any of those ‘choice assignments’ anytime soon…But I’m prepared to be surprised! The three R’s…and one of those includes a rice cooker. This tiger knows what's important! I think that part was one of my ultimate favourite moments of this episode. He’s flustered, tired and doing everything he can to make it look as if he’s got his shit together to keep Poppy safe when he looks about two seconds from passing out from the stress. So it wasn’t much of a surprise he was getting cold feet. He knows he fucked up in a bad way with Poppy. And as a reader I appreciated reading that he’s not planning to withhold anything from her again. The pain is real in his expression. He really did a number on Poppy AND himself with this debacle. The way he keeps his head tilted down, hiding his eyes as Quincey tells him exactly what he thinks - whether he wants to hear it or not - tore me up. Quincey is right, if he’s not careful it would come across as manipulative and controlling. But what Q said really punched a hole in my heart. We’ve seen some of the things Tora’s done to atone for what he’s done, or just to do a good deed and not expecting anything in return. And I try to not delve too deep into how he must feel on a daily basis or his reactions to the trauma he’s had his whole life because honestly I feel like it would crumble me for days - fictional character or not. But when Quincey said. “You don’t have to save everyone.” I could have just burst into tears. All joking aside, that was like a whip across my soul. I’ve learned a lot in therapy to not jump into solving others problems and it took me a long time to put it into action. So to a certain extent I understand it. And it hurts. For Tora I hurt a lot. So yeah, I’m definitely feeling bad for Tora in this episode. But not enough for Poppy to let up on him. Ha! Going from such a heavy moment to Quincey’s perfect toss out of the car was so perfectly timed, I will never not be floored by your hilarious timing, Lily! I applaud them for knowing Poppy deserves space and time to work through this. Absolutely fundamentally she’s terrified. Who wouldn’t be? It’s possible it’s that fear that will make her seek Tora out to talk. Who knows? Either way, I lapped up the flashback and the answers to my questions. And knowing these guys are doing what they can to help Poppy physically as well as mentally. And more so, that Quincey has Tora’s back. Even if it is irritating as hell to our tiger most of the time. Their banter is so much fun to read! As is taking in all the detailing going on around them! I love to read it and then go back and look at all the background and sheer effort that has gone into creating this. “Wouldn’t expect any less from the chief executive hamster.” Pft pft, considering we rarely see Quincey in full diva bitch fit mode, this little face as he giggled at that is going to be saved to my core memories for a long arse time! Sorry Pops, don’t look like you're going to be living that one down anytime soon! Alright, I’ve arrived at the end…I have questions - shockingly! Or rather, just one…HOW DID WE GET HERE? If there was ever a flashback I needed in my life, that was it!! Not only has Poppy woken looking fresh, cute and with the most outrageously gorgeous ‘bed hair’, but somehow her tatas have stayed where they are. No fucking chance of that happening here, haha. But the snuggling…her nightmare of being trapped when she’s got this bloody gorgeous arm of ink holding her down…I NEED TO KNOW! My brain just about fritzed when I saw her sit up and take in what was happening. Not a huge shock to me to see Quincey snuggling Tora, but how did Poppy and Tora get there in the first place? I’m just basking in the deliciousness of this. Even if Tora has left a puddle of drool while he sleeps like a baby. I guess if they’re on the floor it's nothing new to him. Quincey on the other hand has probably had the worst sleep ever and Poppy just looks bloody stunning. BUT I NEED TO KNOW HOW THEY GOT THERE? I’m going to just lose my mind until Saturday, no big deal. I’m ok! I’m totally FINE! Honestly Lily thank you for this incredible, long and delicious update! You’ve set our imaginations on fire!

I wasn't prepared for any of this epicness! the "she said maybe," house buying, haircut, the undies, and the bed scene 😳🧚🙈🤗. That convo between Tora and Quincey about how Tora always wants to get in there and save the day for everyone. I think that will be another big growth moment for our tiger's healing journey. Just like Poppy accepting the help even though the trust isn't fully restored yet. When Quincey talked with Tora from the other side of the sliding door, that really got me feeling some feels. How scared Tora and Poppy both are and Quincey is that outside element providing true empathy and calm in the storm. Beyond ready for the story behind that cliffhanger sleeping arrangement. Is that Poppy's bed from the apartment and that's why there's only one?
