I got a good laugh out of the "are you sure he's awake, I don't think his soul has returned to his body" when they went to wake Tora up. I'm still a bit surprised how soundly he was sleeping, given what we've seen of his sleeping habits in previous episodes. But then again, he's probably still exhausted from buying the house, moving himself in/ setting everything up, and then moving Poppy from her apartment to the new house. I loved Poppy making an offering to the house ghost the next morning. Hopefully it means she and Quincey will get better sleep the next night! Let me tell you, when I saw those godforsaken chin hairs and that they're taking to Scharch of all people. I had some big "OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT!" panic.

Tora is less and less mafia man and more and more tender... when he says "it's a dream" that Poppy talks to me and is here in front of me.... But how much he wants her? and the look towards her (more than towards the spirits of the house) ... Poppy was hoping it would be Tora sneaking into her room and instead Quincey with cracked skin.... Intriguing and creepy Gil I think now more than ever there is something to fear for Poppy and more (I think!) A thought for the knuckles of Poppy's hand touching Tora's ass! Definitely anxious to find out more about what's really going on here!! 😱👻 And here I thought THAT was going to be the freakiest part of the episode. Oh, no, here comes the unholy trinity: Vincent "the old devil" Balthuman, Scharch "the resident psycho", and good ole "slimy fish boy" Gilbert von Chin-hairs. Ugghh...apparently we're in for another plot twist that will no doubt spell disaster for our protagonists. I'm genuinely concerned for whatever distraction Gil seems to have in mind. Poor babies are just never going to get a break! 💔 I believe Poppy's words, "ghosts might be scary, but the heart of man seems to be far more terrifying," are going to be far more poignant than she knows. Well I don’t have a whole lot of in depth thoughts on this episode, because I’ve been too busy enjoying the light-hearted, hilarity of it! I love a good ghost story personally and would totally be up for staying there if it’s haunted. But reading Quincey and Poppy trying to deal with it was so funny, my cheeks are going to be aching for hours! I got to start with how snuggly Quincey is with Tora in their sleep. That’s some next level comfort with someone right there! I’ve always wondered how much young Quincey was aware of. We’ve seen the flashback to him asking if Tora was going to the beach knowing he wanted to. That seemed to me like they were friendly. But then later on we see Quincess being picked on and trying to tag along with Tora and his friends, so it seemed a little less friendly - on the surface any-way - at that time. And let's face it there’s a whole lot in between all of that we don’t know about. Either way I love their friendship/bromance and I’m glad they have each other. Especially as they balance each other out so well. I wonder what Poppy wanted to tell Tora? Before her thoughts got interrupted by a ‘lurking’ Quincey. Maybe she wanted to tell him she’s relieved it’s his home she’s staying at? Maybe it’s something else, like she misses him. She can be raging mad and hurt by him and still miss him after-all. I’ll keep my hopes that we find out where that thought was going at some point. I laughed when she said Tora doesn’t ‘lurk’. But Quincey was doing such a shocking job of that, bless him. Although that blush and heart thump Poppy had when she first thought it was Tora has me intrigued…Any-way, back to Poppy and she is pulling out all the sass this night. That deadpan look on her face is such a mood! What was Quincey doing leaning against the door to fall in that way? Haha! So graceful, Quincess. He looks part terrified, part embarrassed. I mean you can pull that cheeky expression all you like Quincey, but you’re sweating bullets in just your shorts. He truly believes the place is haunted, bless him! Poppy trying to talk herself out of the possibility while looking equally as creeped out has just made me laugh even more! These two really brought the comedy factor this week. Oof, I did actually think to myself, her Moonbright home seems hella more creepy than Tora’s new digs. But reading her think it too, makes me have mad respect for Poppy for living in creepy central all her life. Will we get more Moonbright home in the future? Just wondering. OH NO WAY DOES TORA SNORE THAT BAD! Shit damn, I legit have to deal with this all the bloody time with my husband! Some nights I’m gentle and nudge him to roll over. Some nights he gets kicked so hard I’m surprised he doesn’t shoot out of bed. It is so aggravating and annoying! But I also found it testifies to how exhausted Tora is if he’s passed out that hard to snore that badly. At least that’s always my husband's excuse. *Insert insufferable eye roll here* “So are you.” Ohh I do love sassy Poppy! Quincey’s skin care regime is probably enough to make my head swim. I’d be so done with this bull if I was Poppy too. I laughed AGAIN when she said don’t let the bed bugs bite. Not only is that such a fond memory for me of what my mum used to say to me - surprisingly I never say it to my kids - but I could just imagine that being another part of the reason Quincey didn’t get much sleep, worrying about bugs in his bed. I can’t cope with these two. Quincey looks so close to a full blown breakdown any second now! Imagine how knackered he’s going to be the next day with no sleep and his stress lines. He’s so precious! When I read Poppy say she’d go look, my respect for her just went tenfold. That’s some serious courage going out to investigate what a noise was in what is supposed to be a safe house because of the mafia being aware of her…I mean, shit! I’d hang out in a haunted house but I probably wouldn’t be the one investigating noises that could be something other than a ghost! Hamster balls… How freaking eerie is it when she’s at the end of the hall with that misty light? I had to zoom in just to be sure that it was Poppy and not a ghost. I’m grinning just thinking about these two creeping about the place! And then the lights flickered and I just about fucking lost it from their expessions! Screw Tora, Quincey looks like his soul has left his body! Pft pft. “Are you sure? He looks like his soul hasn’t returned…”This picture right here, with black eyes Tora, Quincey one scream from being called a Banshee and Poppy looking scary too, I am HOWLING!! These three are going to destroy me! What a way to wake up, Quincey literally wrapping his arms around Tora because he’s shit scared, Poppy getting all up in his face trying to rouse him. I’d be confused as hell too! “Bro, I swear to God there’s a fucking ghost outside the room!” I can’t breathe! I’m wheezing, my eyes are watering. Fucking hell we needed this lighter chapter and it is GOLD! Tora’s simple, “What the fuck?” just sums him up so perfectly with the terror the other two are feeling. I mean, what the hell is he supposed to do if there was a ghost? Glare at it? Tell it to fuck off? I don’t know what they thought they were going to achieve with this but I am loving it for the funny as hell moment it is! These ‘badump…badump…’ moments, are they Tora’s? What has he seen before he says, “Ya mean that one -” Is it a badump because Poppy is clinging to him? But then we flash to Quincey doing that too. Or was he going to say the door that's opening and closing? But then why the heart thumps? Unless those were for our two scaredy cats. I mean the dude is swaying, there’s no way he’s awake properly yet, haha! Just reading the battle going on the other side of the door, Quincey losing his shit and Poppy realising fight or flight meant she got the fuck outta ghost dodge and left him alone. Which just makes me gasp with laughter all over again! But hey! At least they rescue him and Poppy gets to cop a feel while she’s at it. We see you, Pops! I loved this whole flashback sequence and I’m glad we didn’t wonder for too long just how they all got into such a snuggly situation. I feel for those whose minds definitely went to the gutter and didn’t get their fantasies fulfilled - yet. I love that Poppy left an offering and asked for protection from the ghost. “What’s that…? He tripped while carrying some boxes and threw a mantrum…?” Please do an extra scene of that moment because I love seeing Tora do normal funny shit to knock him off his Greek God status, haha! Pulling back slightly from the humour now to focus on Poppy’s blush and seemingly sadness at having to start from scratch of the silent treatment for Tora. Is it a healthy way to deal with this? Not really. And it seems as though she’s hurting herself a little here too by doing it. So I hope Tora approaches her soon and apologises. Someone needs to make the first move and I think personally Tora is due his turn. Ugh, all traces of humour are GONE with the appearance of Vincent, Scharch and chin hairs! But, I am intrigued, curious and a little surprised by the frown Vincent is sending Scharch’s way and the glare he sends back. I wonder how much Vincent suspects from him. At this point the likelihood of chin hairs and Scharch being related is a pretty high possibility (huge kudos to the people who came up with that theory!) and I’m trying to work my way through the web of who trusts who, who is stabbing the other in the back and basically what’s the endgame for Scharch in all of this? Whatever happens, I don’t like the old devil Vincent, but I hope that frown he sent Scharch’s way means he’s on to the creepy bastard. Or maybe I’m giving him too much credit, ha. Lily, you absolutely smashed this episode out of the park! It was all the laughs I sorely needed and even that shock of an end can’t wipe this lasting grin off my face! This was fantastic!
