Q.B. Noyouko, famed romance novelist, has arrived! Calling Tora her “gloomy little ball-of-doom,” the maid outfit, and you just know he jotted down Tora’s “lethal weapon” line! His next book is practically writing itself 😂😂😂 So I initially guessed Yadori as the assailant at Poppy’s apartment but now it seems like he’s casing the building for the first time? Either way, he’s baaaack! When the color palette takes on that eerie greenish hue and you get that camera-like angle of Tora from above…you know shit is about to go down. You can do it Poppy!! Our girl is making moves and figuring out how to lay out her emotional and physical desires, from wanting to be open to Tora about her feelings and bringing/possibly wearing that sexy piece of lace at his apartment last week. Season 1 Poppy would be so proud (and maybe a lil scandalized!)🥲💜

<3 Love seeing more details of the manor. Every flower and blade of grass, piece of stone, fiber of the rugs, and grain of the wood...just stunning intricate background. Tora's little lethal weapon comment from the beginning resurfaced and it was awesome! Ok. All joking aside, as much as I love Quincey and his antics, Poppy is trying to get people to take her seriously. She is legit penniless right now after having the carpet pulled from under her & she was already struggling to make rent already. So at least she doesn’t have to worry about that anymore for the time being. What may have seemed like all in good fun to our adorable, loveable Quinceton, may not be as easily perceived as such to Poppylan. I lowkey want her to lose her shit on Quincey because she wanted to help out by cleaning & now it’s almost become a joke. First with her presentation for Mr. Lam (teenager anyone?) then with her presentation for QB (Tora calling it stupid) Among other examples.. Am I reading into it too much? Probably. Do I care? Absolutely not. I know I talk a lot of shit and don’t usually hit with the heavier issues but she has been struggling with people taking her seriously and this is just another nail in the coffin (at least to me). Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Having just re read the chapter again before I write this, I’m once again left with a stupid grin on my face and laughter on the tip of my tongue. I don’t think I’ve ever read something that makes me laugh aloud as much as this story does! They each have their moments that leave me howling, but Quincey definitely goes the farthest with the comedy. And he did not disappoint at the end there! Which I’ll get to soon enough… I am so smitten by the idea of Quincey ordering stuff for Tora’s house. Whether it's for him, Tora or Poppy, the show of support is adorable. But also, let's face it, he’s probably presuming Tora has zero care for it looking stylish and designer. But I wasn’t expecting them to get on to the subject of Tora’s skills. “Honestly though, homeboys the ‘real deal’, here.” *Gulp* Don’t we know it - at least a little. It was a good nod to the fact Tora is no slack in being aware of almost everything - if Poppy isn’t around distracting him anyway. “I don’t think you realise how highly skilled your gloomy little ball-of-doom actually is…” I am cracking up at that!! First of all, there’s nothing little about Tora, Quinceton. Secondly, he really is adorably doom and gloomy and I love this little part so much for that! And Poppy bringing up his, ‘lethal weapon’, comment way back when. It gives me tingles and makes me wanna do a reread - again. (I can never re-read this enough just FYI)! And Quinceys reaction to that is brilliant! Yeah they are poking fun at Tora a little, but he sets himself up for it most of the time so you can’t help but laugh at it. Ok, so having re-read this again knowing what I know, I am howling at the look on Quinceys face when Poppy mentions being a housekeeper of sorts in exchange for her staying there…you cheeky sod, Quincey!! That look of inspiration on his face is everything. He knew exactly what he was going to be picking up for dinner…and it wasn’t food. Ayo! Although that got wiped quickly when he saw Tora in thug mode. At this point I was like, sooo not Lane on the phone? ‘Cause we have a dark aura Tora and trouble brewing! The discomfort on Quincey’s face makes me uncomfy too. But, the fact he has Tora and Poppy’s back, giving him space and her a heads up that Tora isn’t available right now, top friend points right there! One of the last times he went into thug mode he snapped at her and left her hanging. And Quincey saw the aftermath with Poppy with that one. Crisis hopefully averted… I got shudders down my spine when Tora reached for chin hairs’ file. Of which there are two? Damn, that sick bastard has a lot of dirt. Side note - the super organised part of me appreciates its filed so nicely. Bahaha. But to say I was surprised it was Gyu texting with a picture of this Yadori prick would be an understatement. WHAT IS HE DOING AT POPPY’S APARTMENT BUILDING?! I am STILL shuddering from that gross smirk he had when he walked out of the pool hall after having his face smashed by a pool cue. So I’ve been chatting with Seazar about this, and she made a great point that if he’s going through the chin hairs’ folder looking for a link between him and dreads, then maybe Yadori will be the link to Scharch too. The complicated net of who’s working with who, and against and after Poppy at this point is getting super intense. And I like it because it actually makes me need to engage my brain and theorise and then clap when I get it wrong. Because that’s just as much fun, haha! “Work matters…that means he’s in ‘Do not disturb’ mode right now.” That has to suck, knowing that she has the opportunity to talk to him, spend some time alone with him. But whatever he’s working on is big enough that he’ll shut himself away both literally and mentally, has to sting a little. Like I said before, Quincey probably had it in the front of his mind, of the last time and no doubt Poppy does too. It was after-all, the start to the day and night from hell for her. So not actually that long ago, now I think about it. As she says, ‘So near, yet so far…’ I’m so happy that Poppy has been working through their rough patch. Sometimes we have to go through the storm to see the skies clearer, and she clearly feels better knowing what head space Tora is in. Which is mostly that he misses everything about her and I am STILL swooning from that. So give me my moment. Whew, and both Poppy and Tora have been working well into the day. Both are pretty hard work too. I personally find it therapeutic to clean because it helps me work through stuff without really realising I am. So once that was done I wasn’t surprised Poppy went looking for Tora. ‘Did he have to go out for work…??’ *Badump* Anyone else feel her intense panic as if it was your own with that? Holy Hera! Is this panic because she might be alone? Because Tora is possibly out in clan neutral territory and could be in a lot of trouble if caught? Just because he’s ‘working’ and in her mind she now knows just how dangerous that is and she hasn’t had the chance to tell him what she wants to? Hell maybe it’s a little of all of that! It doesn’t have to be narrowed down to one. She’s been through a lot in a short space of time, I think she’s entitled to worry about all of the above. Poppy, darling, you need to take a breath! The way she's clutching her clips in her hair, her hand fisted like that was painful to watch! She seems so close to a panic attack, my heart races everytime I read this part! ‘If there’s something I wanna tell him…then I should just tell him!’ Now my heart is going into overdrive!! When she caught that sniff of his cigarette I almost laughed from sheer relief! Side note, mad props to Tora for going all day and only having 2 cigarettes!! That’s major progress for him, and I hope that the ‘work’ he’s been doing has taken a lot of focus and attention, and hasn't stressed him like it normally would. Yeah, maybe I’m reaching but I don’t care! The way she burst in calling his name and his look of surprise makes me wonder if he forgot she was even there. He’s been fully engrossed in this chin hair’s folder. But more than that, he called her ‘Pops’ again…he did it in episode 99 to her face and 100 in his monologue. I’ve been back through the episodes and found he hasn’t called her Bobby since episode 91. Where that doesn’t shock me considering the fight they’ve been in and the space he’s given her, I am surprised he’s called her Pops more. I know Erdene, Jacob and Quincey have called her it - even in this episode. She also calls herself Pops. But I won’t lie, I miss Bobby. Let’s see if I can work through my thoughts here…I know Bobby is said as a nickname when he’s teasing her, and with everything they’ve been through he hasn’t felt like he has the right to do that. That’s fair. Maybe Pops is something he’s trying out, knowing other people call her it. Maybe she’ll ask him to call her Bobby again. Which I’d love, because that was for them. Most others call her Pops, but his name for her is something special between them. But then maybe it’s a signal things are changing between them. A familiarity. I don’t know, part of me feels like it’s too…friendly? She means more to him than that - not that the numpty will actually believe himself yet. He’s not massively trying to put her at a distance, he is the one after all to tell her he missed her. A pretty big declaration with everything that went with it. And if you made it through that maze of uncertainty and confusion I was working through, well done! Haha. But whatever the reason, it hasn't been by-passed that he’s called her it and I figure there must be a reason. Hell, maybe it’s nothing and I’m just missing Bobby. Like I said, I like being wrong, LOL! Oh Quincey, we’ve spoken about your timing dude! She was so close to saying something big-ish there! (Although I’ll forgive him because of that ending…) But here is where I start to really laugh because there’s a real confusion in communication here! If I’ve got this right, Quincey has questioned if Poppy has told Tora she will be a housekeeper of sorts…Poppy thinks he’s talking about the writing and possible intruder…Or maybe that she was supposed to tell him he missed him too. Either way, she’s not aware Quincey is talking about the housekeeping. Meanwhile, Tora is sitting there totally unimpressed, flipping through his paperwork, not really listening, until… “...And guess what I got for her as a uniform?” “A u-uniform?” Oh we see that blush Tora, the penny has dropped and the Patreon community gives a collective hoot and holler to Quincey for making our Secret Garden dreams come true with that maid outfit. I am HOWLING!! And there we come back to his brain wave when she first mentioned housekeeping. I am in stitches right now! This man is a genius, I take it back Quince, you can come tumbling in with your bad timing again if you’re going to pull out wingman duties like this! I’m giggling so bad right now! He’s so pleased with himself and honestly, I can’t fault him. I’m going to be laughing about this for a good long while. I can’t wait to see how the next episode approaches this. Probably with a lot of sass and blushing from Poppy, Tora’s mind is well and truly in the gutter and Quincey is planning out a whole novel dedicated to just this moment. Pure genius Lily, I adore you and your perfect balance between light and heavy this chapter gave us. Excuse me while I go back through the secret gardens of Patreon as I have to wait a whole week now…I loved this chapter as always! Thank you so much, Lilydusk. Ciao!

Quincey's wingman game is something else...gotta love this man. He's hilariously over the top and everything we need. I don't even know if Tora fully appreciates how helpful he's actually been. On the surface I'm sure Tora sees Quincey's quirky behavior as eye rolling (don't lie, sir, it's funny and on some level even YOU have to know it 😜), but the man is straight up doing what he can to get these two back in good graces with each other. From subtleties like "your gloomy little ball of doom" (YOUR...maybe I'm reading too much into this, but it seems to indicate Quincey's acceptance of the special nature of their relationship), to the head's up about Tora being in "work mode"...he's laying out breadcrumbs, so to speak. Let's face it, this is not a typical situation and finding clues to navigate his headspace, while being gently encouraged to pursue her feelings, has to be super helpful. But before I bring up the "uniform"...I have to absolutely agree with what others have been saying: this manor's layout is GORGEOUS. I just want to take a tour (*cough* move in *cough*😏). So glad we got to see more of it this week! So many little details!! 😍 Tora stewing over this Yadori/fish boy situation is both worrying and sweet that he's this genuinely concerned. 2 giant files!! And he was working on it all day, researching/planning, I presume? Previously, I think he would have absolutely left to go on the offensive...but now, he hasn't made any indication that he plans to leave her unprotected. He's thinking smarter, and I think Poppy is definitely going to appreciate that. She already seems to be musing about their fight in the past tense, so this is definitely good timing for him to use his brain for possible solutions, rather than his muscles. And now we're back full circle to with the "uh, Quincey 😳😳😳...maybe you should run" moment. Poppy's shock and Tora's stuttering at seeing that maid outfit was so funny and endearing. Quincey is delightfully devious! 😂😂😂 Love him to pieces!
