So, back in episode 5 one of the street rat thugs said a guy named Shane hired him to look for the notebook in Goliath's apartment. Do you think this was Gil, or since it's a code word, maybe Scharch?

Okay, now that I've finally had some extra time to really look through this episode, I had a few thoughts. Sorry, this is a long one, but I couldn't contain this to a couple short lines...there's just too much here!! 🥰 So, right off the bat, we see the Creeper Duo giving us a bunch more things to speculate about. First, the name "Shane" makes another appearance. Now, my first thought was that this is just what Scharch said, a code word. I know some are speculating now that Gil is the "Shane" mentioned in the earlier episode with the thugs from Goliath's apartment, while others think it's Sharch. I'm not convinced it's Gil, as he couldn't even remember the right name to say at first. Scharch would make more sense, but then, wouldn't it have been more appropriate for Scharch to make the call? My theory, is that "Shane" is just that...a code word for when someone "in the know" needs a service but wishes to remain anonymous. So perhaps when "Shane" hired the thugs it was Scharch, but it could have been someone else entirely (Martin, a Nine Daggers or other rival clan member, etc.). Maybe we'll find out, maybe not. 🤔🤷‍♀️ Moving on, does anyone else think Scharch suspects Louise isn't dead? It seems like he was about to suggest Gil double check her body, but then thought better of it, but not necessarily because he had confidence in Gil, but rather seemed amused at the possibility of him making a huge error ("amateurs"). This could be especially dangerous if he catches wind that Louise was rescued. Hopefully she has the good sense to keep a low profile for now. 😬 Louise...clever, clever girl, using the dead rat to cover for her lack of "decaying stench". 🐀 Disgusting, but it certainly seemed to fool him. Looking back at the scenes with her phone, now that we know she pulled the SD card, I have to think there's something incriminating on there that she looked at it and immediately thought it shouldn't be left behind. Did she come across some documents somehow? Took pictures? We're all on the edge of our seats wondering what Tora will find. I do worry that since Gil appeared to pocket her phone afterwards, that he might at some point charge it, turn it on, and notice it's more empty than it should be. Let's hope he's not that concerned and just trashes it. And now we're back to the boat, and the line about angels wearing black 🥰 (and later, oversized fisherman's clothes 😂). Glad to see she's over her initial shock of the identities of her rescuers. And another twist, fishing boat lady's an active duty cop, and pretty high ranking apparently. She recognizes Tora as "no ordinary street thug" but for whatever reason decides it's above her pay grade to mess with him and his "protege". She seems to be under the impression he's training her...but honestly where's the lie there? They're beyond the point of him completely sheltering her, so might as well teach her a few lessons during their little adventure. He sure does look proud...Lilydusk, you were not kidding about the microexpressions!! Every time I zoom in, I catch something else. Absolutely brilliant artwork there. The subtleties do it for me every time! ❤❤❤ An observation about appearances: earlier at the dock, the idea they might be a couple ranged from unbelievable to cringeworthy by the reactions of the passing civilians. I believe this was mostly due to the auras they were projecting, a clear tie to the stressful situation they were facing. Now that Louise has been found safe, there is a air of relief, and suddenly more than one individual sees them as together. First Louise's suspicions, then one of the paramedics offhand comparison to her "loud Aunt and quiet Uncle". I might be reaching here, but it sure seems like now that they're a bit more relaxed, their natural chemistry is starting to shine through again. Hopefully, because these poor babies have been through a lot and it looks like they had a more successful mission than they expected, so hopefully they can get a breath of fresh air together! Thanks for another amazing episode! 😍
