Gah! You're a QUEEN Lilydusk! My analysis on this episode: Throughout this series Poppy has been reserved with her feelings and emotions while Tora has learned to be open and vulnerable with her and now in this episode specifically roles reverse when Poppy reveals her feelings to Tora by 1. Letting go of control with affection (🥵HOT and we want more!) 2. Staying by his side now that she knows who he really is and 3. Literally telling him she loves him! (🤯 bombshell btw) only to be met with Tora shutting her down. I, for one, love this plot because what would happen if he just returned his affection immediately? Happily ever after? Nah, this is a complex story and your characters are not that shallow, that's why you have the best webtoon series ever written. Besides, there's a whole new level to the slow burn love story that were all obsessed with. Well done! This is and will always be worth the wait!

Poppy’s empathy is something else in this episode. Like… from his song choice and the way he sounds- she sees behind it. She sees so much more than the facade. And when she says people keep taking and taking from him… even her? How strong of a person do you need to be to see when you are part of a problem. Even if only a little. She takes on some of the responsibility for his pain even when she’s really brought him so much joy too. More than she can know. More than he will allow himself to tell her… fucking hell i love these two so much. So much selflessness in this chapter. And so much pain. I hate you Lily. I love you Lily. So many emotions. Bravo Lily, masterful episode! But, oh, my heart 😭 I absolutely think his comment in the end is referring to not loving himself. While he may not be ready to verbally tell her, he's already started admitting to himself he's falling in love with her, and has really moved forward with taking it seriously, what with having Quincey tell her the truth before fully diving in. I really hope he doesn't try to play it off as not loving her though, even though I'm sure Poppy would see straight through that. Can't wait to learn more about Tora's backstory and parents. Well I can't say that that was a roller coaster of panals. There were so many emotions from both sides. Tora letting Poppy see his sensative side once again leading up to their spark of intimacy. They were both ready to let go of the longing they had built up physically for each other and I believe emotionality too. I think Poppy's nerves got the better of her. The sence of the unknown and what is to come in the future so she took the chance to let her heart take the lead. Tora should fully understood why she said what she did. She didn't run after hearing what Quennie-Bear told her, she didn't put her guard up around him... Rather it was the complete opposite and even told him how his job didn't make him and that he is a hero in her eyes and to many others. What I wonder is why after seeing her stay, not run, not give up on him or think of him negatively could he tell her that he didn't love her. Poppy loves you Tora and she was fearless and said it... Why couldn't you speak from your heart and tell her the same. You love her too! Lily, this one broke my heart in the end 😔! Still a little confused on Tora's flashback but I'm sure the meaning will come more into light soon * On a lighter note, welcome back as you have been very missed!!! Okay, trying to compose myself after that amazing, super-emotionally charged return.🥰 First thoughts at the top of the episode…after the “OMG, OMG, OMG she’s back” turned into OMFG is there anything hotter than a guy playing an instrument for you and you alone? 🥵 (May be biased, musician who married a musician here❤). But then Poppy thinking it’s a metal cover and I'm laughing to myself because ever since Lilydusk teased that photo with the guitar, I've been thinking about all of the beautiful acoustic rock ballads that a teenage Tora might have practiced to get chicks in high school…and now it’s looking more like he whipped out some Lamb of God or something and I am dying! BUT lo and behold, it’s actually 3 Doors Down…which is…🤔surprisingly perfect. Those lyrics?…hits a little close to home, doesn’t it, Tora? “BUT THAT’S NOT ALL, FOLKS! “ Because that nice husky voice actually CAN SING?!😲🤩😍 (Legit cackling at f’n Pinky's sheepish appearance🤣🤣🤣). Then…oh, Poppy…girl really does see him like no one else. Whatever Tora was expecting…that sure as heck wasn’t it. And don’t think we didn’t see that little admission to herself that she’s been guilty of “taking” from him, like everyone else. I felt the squeeze on that damn hug…and the look on Tora’s face killed me. So when he IMMEDIATELY followed it up by POUNCING on her…holy hellfire!!!! 🥵🥵🥵And this is where my brain officially stopped computing. To say that scene was hot as f*ck seems insufficient.🔥❤🔥 Damnit Bobby, indeed…getting into your head and ending our (and Tora’s) fun. I love the episode, I was so happy to see them finally getting some of action they have been waiting for, for so long and then Tora saying "I don't" broke my heart! Not sure if he means he doesn't love himself or if he doesn't love Poppy (a lie to have her running and protect her) but both options made me sad, first option because of his guilt and pain second one because of the pain he will inflict on Poppy.

Cannot wait for the secret garden update for this one! They always include much more context that adds the pieces together completely (like the NSFW canon garden scene). Also, it was amazing to see Poppy’s progress in her character and confidence since the beginning of the story! So so glad she told him she loved him but it feels like bad timing; however, that makes it realistic. What KILLS me is Tora not being able to say it, or anything positive, back . I know he doesn’t feel like he deserves her love and he’s trying to run her off by telling her his job and leaving guns and weapons everywhere but it’s not working so well and he’d be a wreck if she left. He obviously loves her and not just cares about her since he 1. Said it himself at Poppy’s house 2. BOUGHT HER A HOUSE AND WENT AGAINST HIS CLAN TO PROTECT HER! Those aren’t things you do for someone you don’t love. I hope Tora can grow and talk it out honestly to tell her the truth no matter how dark and why he “doesn’t feel the same” so they can work thru it together. It’s amazing to see growth as a couple and individually and is so satisfying to read realistic and meaningful development instead of when stories don’t fall into the back and forth will they won’t they trope far into a story. I can’t wait for the next episodes!!! Thank you Lily 💕

So much to say..... What an episode. It went from being sexy to heartbreaking. Great tie in of the Kryptonite song. When you first published that MPL playliat a few years ago, I listened to it on repeat, and that song is embedded in my head. It fits Tora's feelings towards Vincent so perfectly. Poppy is so brave in this episode. She is being vulnerable and open, because she's scared of what will happen now that he can't find Goliath's DVD and she knows what Tora does and that the penalty is death. And that line that she tells him: "What you do is not who you are!" Wow. What emotional maturity and faith she shows. She wants to build him up and help him believe in himself. And then Tora telling her he doesn't love her, after remembering what love did to his mother. He thinks that loving him will only land Poppy in the same situation: where he will be hanged and she will cry over him. But Tora, don't you know, "it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all"???
