I like playing the older games. And the best part is in arcades they are usually also fair. Unlike all the modded ones.

Yeah, I definitely am with you on your frustration. I love fighting games... have loved them since the Street Fighter 2 days, and it really distresses me just how money grubbing publishers have gotten with them. I currently play Tekken 8 and Street Fighter 6, and gods... Not only are they charging money for new characters and outfits, but they got battle passes now. Battle passes. In a fighting game. Oh sure, they call them "Fight Passes", and in Tekken's case you get some decent trinkets and even your money back if you decided to get the paid version... but dammit, it's still relying on FOMO to get your to play, like it's Fortnite. What ever happened, to, I don't know, relying on the gameplay being fun to keep people playing?? By the way, Soul Calibur 6 is freaking awesome. Unfortunately, it also fell victim to making people pay extra for characters and such. However, it's currently going on sale on Steam, so you can pretty much nab everything for around 30 bucks. It's worth a look, I think.
