Neurotically Yours #1 (2001) (Patreon)

It's become a habit to give away the very first issue of Neurotically Yours #1 for Patrons new & old each year on the anniversary of Foamy! So apologies if you've already purchased this (which I do appreciate) or downloaded it already. It's just something I want to give folks who may have missed it or just want to revisit the odd start of it all.

So for perspective, in 2001, there was no Patreon, no YouTube, nothing I really had to distribute or support my work other than a copier at a local newspaper/candy shop and my feet. So for the first issue I literally gave them away on the streets of NYC. (Yeah, I had a website... but it was 2001. Not everyone was on the web and fewer knew how to find me, even if they wanted to. GeoCities man! GEOCITIES!!!!

As the comics progressed, I posted copies to Ebay, sold a handful, continued working on the series and slowly started learning Macromedia's Flash 4.0 (Which I still use today) and started posting to Newgrounds which was essentially YouTube before YouTube with a "We don't care what you post as long as it's legal" attitude. (They're still like that, so those who have never been there.... go!)

Anyway, cartoons were posted, Hot Topic noticed my work thanks to fans asking their local shops to carry shirts n' stuff. I worked with them for about 2 years, avoided some "deals" with some media companies that would have relinquished control of the series for the sake of "developing a potential series".... and here we are.

So thanks to all keeping up with the series. I don't see myself stopping anytime soon, so the continued support is appreciated :)  So... back to work!
