That was an Orange is the new Black reference. Do you remember Bismuth from Steven Universe? She played a character on Orange is the New black called Crazy Eyes and that's who they showed going to Margo Martindale table. Love the references in this show, it's so nostalgic in a way.

And the Tegan and Sara song at the end brings me back to high school haha. I never noticed he was only 27, I remember thinking that was so old when I watched this originally but now I am around the same age and it's so fascinating the shift of perspective. Anyway, looking forward to season 2 and beyond reactions. Cheers

Hooray, end of season 1! And for all these last few episodes have been masterworks of television, this is somehow the LEAST good season of the whole show... which should just give you a sense how fucking incredible what's coming is.

The show just gets better from now on. It somehow manages to keep delivering gut punches without becoming misery porn. One of the best character studies on TV.

I've never thought that the series started 'slowly'. I look at the first few episodes as necessary world-building to acclimate the viewer to the alternate universe that BoJack inhabits. Whatever anyone thinks of the starts of season one, by the end it is a thoroughly compelling watch. Great reactions; on to season 2.
