You know.... revisiting the iconic Luffy flashback with Shanks... does bring back a lot of nostalgia, but also makes you question.... Shanks was already a notorious pirate back then, probably not an Emperor yet but definitely a big fish (as Whitebeard pointed out in their meeting).... so it really is hard to believe that a mere Sea King (and a small one at that) was able to bite his arm off... even if he was saving Luffy xdd. "Those scars look good on you". They're not implying.... Remember that in his meeting with Whitebeard... Shanks revealed that it was Blackbeard who gave him those scars in his eye. Also.... let's not forget that Sengoku's orders was to cut off the broadcasting of the War (even before Ace's programmed execution), the only reason one snail was still broadcasting is because of Buggy's Shenanigans.

Ahh fuck yeah I forgot Buggy and his guys turned it on. I owe him an apology! And right yeah I remember the convo with Shanks and Whitebeard, but I couldn’t remember if he explicitly stated it was from Blackbeard
