Seeing the way those bandits take all the meat at the table before Luffy can even get a bit, really tells you why he is the way he is with food in the present. The poor straw hats have to put up with his greed but it comes from a place where he had to fight every day to get his fair share

Welcome to the Post-Marineford Arc! And the fandom has decided to call it that way because it technically takes place in an Island that we've already visited (Amazon Lily), just like how some people consider the little section of story after Enies Lobby a Mini-arc of it's own and call it Post-Enies Lobby. So.... technically speaking.... this is the actual ending of "Act 1" (going by how you described it a few reactions ago). We finally meet Dadan, and i gotta say.... if Nami and Robin didn't exist... i would definitely say Dadan is a strong contestant for the title of Best Female Character in One Piece.

Alright, finally able to catch up. Regarding the subtitle error, in their defense, Big Mam is a valid interpretation of how her name is written/pronounced in Japanese ("Biggu Mamu"). When this episode came out, the manga hadn't yet really explained who Big Mom was, so there wasn't a ton of info to go on. This just kinda comes with the territory - confirming canon english spellings isn't a huge priority to a lot of Japanese writers. Us being able to tell you it's Big Mom is, regretfully, an insight afforded by spoilers.
