These last few episodes really felt like Gumball in its prime again. It reminds me of the episodes from seasons 2/3 when they focused plots around the students so that we could learn more about them. I love how much depth they got in it with these two episodes, though. Ocho's episode has to be one of my favs of the season too, it feels so real, and I can relate so much with the ending message. Games that were referenced in that quick montage were: Mario Paint, Super Mario Kart, Brain Age, WarioWare, Paper Boy, Bomberman, Dr. Mario, and Game & Watch. I also loved seeing Wilson Bilson again; they nailed The Diary in making it feel like an episode of 'The So-Called World of Clare', even though it wasn't an episode about her. I'm so glad they finally decided to give Leslie a romantic partner. I know it's always been implied that he was gay, but it feels so good to get it actually confirmed.

And I'm so glad that, aside from Gumball and Darwin's standard over-the-top reactions, they didn't shove it in your face that "Hey look, guys! Leslie, Wilson, and these two side characters are all gay! Look at it! LOOK AT IT!! I WANT ALL OF YOU TO LOOK AT IIIIIIT!!!" and instead treated it like it was normal! (Sorry, been burned a bit too much by bad / insincere representation in the past.)
