After you finish watching episode 522, you can watch the One Piece special episode called One Piece Fan Letter, which takes place during the reunion of the crew, it's one of the best special episode of One Piece.

Julio Castillo

I agree that Fan Letter is a must watch..... but i think it's better for him to wait at least until he finishes the next arc. I think part of what makes Fan Letter so great is a certain level of nostalgia... it came out many years after the Timeskip happened after all. So it would be better (in my opinion) for Mikey to first put some distance between the end of this mini-arc and the special.

When Franky said "Luffy-mecha" he was simply using "mecha" as an honorific... because he was talking like a Robot playfully, he did not mean that there is actually a Mecha Luffy (But if you recall... a Mecha Luffy does exist in the Chopper-man universe). Also.... i agree with what Krolliox said...... the special called "Fan Letter" is a MUST WATCH, it is honestly one of the greatest pieces of OP content that has ever been produced. HOWEVER..... i sincerely think that you should wait at least until you finish the next Arc to watch it. Not because of spoilers.... but because i think Fan Letter is a lot more enjoyable with a certain level of Nostalgia.
