Here is my full length unedited reaction to BoJack Horseman 3X4!Streamer: Netflix

An underlaying desire of fatherhood has been a recurrent theme within Bojack's character up to this point, actually. When we met Sarah Lynn, we learned how Bojack being her tv dad extended to him being fatherly to her much later in her life. Since then, we've seen him fantasize about being a father to a child with Charlotte. I don't know if it's more of a deep desire or a constant worrying about "what ifs," but it has led him to many situations in which he emulated fatherhood. Now we have him literally forming a protective, emotional relationship with a real child. I usually presume a grief in seeing himself within this child (who happens to be horse-like in appearance) being so vulnerable and forgotten. However, despite forgetting the baby, the baby's father is still willing to accept him into a home where he will be cared for and loved; something Bojack never had. That still is what I believe we are seeing, but I'm just now putting together this pattern in Bojack and felt it would be interesting to share.

Yeah interesting that it constantly pops up for him throughout the show

I had a feeling you would love this episode, just such a masterfully written episode with beautiful visuals and storytelling. Really shows how confident this show is with its world and characters. I consider it in my top 5 and it was even nominated for many awards

Also for future reference: In the show sometimes the end credits theme changes for certain episodes, and I honestly really recommend keeping in and listening to some of the unique end credit themes when you’re finished with an episode. The song at the end here is called “Sea of Dreams” which such a perfect track to end off an already amazing episode. The creators liked doing this as a way to reward viewers for watching all the way to the end, especially since Netflix likes to skip to the next episode automatically in which many viewers aren’t able to catch these unique ending themes. Some of them are really fun, some may tie into the story, and others may be important too, especially in future episodes.

There's a few episodes that stand out in my memory as feeling like real turning points in getting me from not that on board with the show in the first few episodes of season 1 to considering it one of the greatest masterpieces of TV ever made, and this is one of them.

There is especially one episode at some point to come where you will have a completely different reaction depending on whether you watch all the way to the end of the credits... so recommend just leaving them on while you give your thoughts on the episode from here on.

How did I never notice Tuna 4 Dayz?!?

And yeah, Jesse Novak (composer and brother of BJ Novak) is the unsung hero of BoJack. His music and parody songs are so on point, every episode. He sets the mood so subtly and yet so powerfully. He doesn't get the recognition he deserves.
