So Aaron Paul was a dispatcher before Dispatch :) The Labrador Peninsula is a real place in Canada, as in Newfoundland and Labrador. Obviously the joke being it's all dogs living on the *labrador* peninsula. The weather on the radio was saying it's unseasonably warm for New Years, in reality I can't imagine it's ever warm like that around New Years there. I am from New England which you were comparing it to, that's like 500 miles south of there and even where I'm from it's never been warm enough to swim outdoors around that time of year.
