"How big was she when she was born?"..... This is One Piece, regular humans can just randomly be born being far larger than the average, so Shirahoshi's birth it's probably just a case of cartoon logic xddd. I wouldn't say that Neptune and Otohime didn't know about Fishmen being slaves in the surface.... like it was said in the Sabaody Arc... Slavery is technically illegal by the law of the world goverment, but because the Celestial Dragons are just the ultimate Nepo Babies... slavery is still being practiced in specific areas of the world. I think Neptune and Otohime already suspected that Fishmen were being used as slaves... they just can't really do anything about it... because the World Nobles are the ones doing it. Otohime cried at Fisher Tiger's words because she could feel the hatred he already developed for humans in general, Neptune mentioned that she has natural Observation Haki... just like Aisa from Skypiea. She cried because of her immense empathy but also because she was standing in front of a man that is already too consumed by the notion she is desperately trying to eradicate (at least that's my interpretation).

I love this back story and piece of world building. It really gives a lot of perspective to how and why events have occured and provides further development for some already interesting charactes. The human/fishman relationship has already been established as a very tense one for a number of reasons and its great seeing some of the history that got us to that point. Side note about pacing. I feel like a lot of One Piece fans, especially in this day and age where everything is available on demand, forget 1. just how long this show has been running for and 2. that this show aired weekly on tv and its possible for someone to have joined part way through into the series and not have seen previous arcs. For example Arlong Park aired roughly 12 years before this Fishman Island, so a couple flashbacks for Nami/Arlong are nice as a refresh for someone who has never seen it or hasn't seen it in years.

Saydamn Tt

I LOVE Queen Otohime!!
