Fun fact: You can hear Catra purring at the end

I interpret She-Ra's appearance at the start of the show as manifesting as the She-Ra that the First Ones/Light Hope made her to be. Loose flowing hair, tiara, more of a skirt-shorts look. ..Whereas this She-Ra is coming from Adora _choosing_ it herself. You can dissect her outfit and see where elements of it come from, and the pants and ponytail are much more Adora's personal style. I always find the 'new' look of She-Ra seems more adult-looking, too. Not that it matters much because the complainers were mostly misogynistic manchildren, but for those who complained about the new She-Ra design being unattractive vs her 80's look? I find the upgraded She-Ra look here STUNNING, so they can kick rocks.

The music in this season really takes it to another level. The music was always good but this season is just so perfect

I have been *so* excited for you to get to this point. [Stranded] "Good job Adora, defending herself there." I love how competent and smart a fighter Adora is *without* She-Ra. Ugh, Adora tapping into She-Ra (and the reflections!) never fails to be just an awesome moment. [Save the Cat] I'm writing this part before you start into the episode. I'm genuinely not sure if I'm going to have anything to say *during* your reaction itself! Just strapping in to enjoy (sob through?) the ride. Here's my fun fact tidbit: "Save the Cat" is the name of a fairly famous screenwriting book. It was a temporary, in-joke name for this episode...until they decided to just keep it. Aaaaaaaaah, that episode, man. It's so damn good. "You miscalculated" from Prime and then She-Ra calling back to it later. The *entire* exchange between Adora and Catra as Adora's trying to get through to her. She-Ra's quiet fury as Adora brings her forward at last. And Wrong Hordak! I'll have more to say (as I'm sure will many other commenters) about She-Ra's new look later on, but for now -- hell yeah, Adora's new She-Ra look is absolutely kick-ass.

The fifth episode - Save The Cat - is the second highest rated episode in all of She Ra after the finale of the series, and it definitely earned its spot! Great reaction video! Enjoyed it a lot

Hello! I don't know if Mike's been reading your comments on every post, but I just wanted you to know that I really enjoy seeing your thoughts on the videos! Have an amazing day and I'll see you next weekk

God, Save the Cat is genuinely probably my favorite episode of television of all-time. Not a single other one from any other show (even in objectively better written or more mature shows) hits as hard for me. I think it's because of the sheer emotional sincerity. The rawness of the "promise" callback. The intensity of all of it. Just SO good. The score is incredible in this episode too, it's criminal that it's not included on the bare bones OST they put out on Spotify. Like you said, part of what makes this episode great is the build-up. We wait for 5 seasons for this moment, and the payoff is just incredible. Season 5 of this show does rewarding payoff in every episode like no other show I've seen, without it feeling like corny and forced fanservice. It actually feels like we, as the audience, have earned every moment of season 5 and so have the characters. How much more cathartic can you get, really? And all of the vocal performances are so incredible. They always are (shoutout to Mary Elizabeth McGlynn for being an incredible vocal director on this series; she was also the voice of Connie's mom on Steven Universe!), but this episode is genuinely exceptional in the world of children's Western television animation. It never once feels like people acting in a booth, it feels SO visceral and real. What a wonderful episode.

Aw, thank you so much! Mike says at the end of this one that he does read them all, but even if not, that's okay too. I'm glad you enjoy them! And I wholeheartedly agree with you about how Sunna absolutely killed it with the music this season! Have an amazing day and week yourself! See you next time!

OH I thought there wasn't gonna be a video this week, I'm late! Save the Cat, as will likely be no surprise, is the most highly rated She-Ra episode. I think "Hero" (the Madam Raz and Mara episode) is my overall favorite, but this one is SO GOOD. "You miscalculated" from Adora never gets old, she is so cool I love her,
