Probably my favourite episode of Season 3 so far, a Metal City actually exists and it's beautiful! Not to mention how much this episode did for Lin, I could not love her character more and I can't wait to see what's causing this divide in her family!

Comics spoiler, not addressed in this series: Toph eventually reconciled with her parents, many years after ATLA. On Zhao fu: my head canon is that Sue was able to construct the city after inheriting the wealth of her grandparents. If you recall from ATLA, the Bei Fong family was one of the wealthiest in the entire world. I imagine that Lin rejected her inheritance due to her resentment of her mother and sister, so all that money went to Sue.

ALSO, thank you for recognizing Zaheer's different bending style. He may be able to bend air, but he's not an Air Bender, in the way that is intended by the culture and martial arts.

Ah thanks so much for this! Wish we got to see it as that was the one thing ATLA never addressed but I’m just happy knowing they did work things out. Ohhh that’s so true!!! The Bei Fong’s were loaded so no wonder Sue was able to build such an insane city, plus it makes perfect sense that Lin would refuse to accept any of it meaning every last piece went to Sue,

This is something that stuck out to me so much in this episode, he literally shot a bullet of air at Kya, and I don’t think that’s something anyone can defend against! Just hope that while this allows him to be insanely creative, he also has some weaknesses that come with not being typically trained.
