Lin's past is so sad to think about but I think it hurts most knowing how much sense it makes with Toph as a parent, just going from one end of the extreme to another; but at least things look far more positive for Lin's future. On a side note, CAN ZAHEER USE THE SPIRIT WORLD!?

Michaela Jill Murphy (VA for Toph in ATLA) voiced young Sue, and Grey Delisle (VA for Azula) voices Ming Hua and young Lin! Toph as a mother is... yeahhh 😬 Also, one of the things I LOVE about Zhao Fu is how it showcases a gentler side of earth bending. The graceful dance routine, the art, the incredible delicacy it would require to METAL BEND needles into someone without causing harm. Chefs kiss 🤌

Love that they’ve gotten the Voice Actors to come back!! It’s so perfect that Toph’s VA also got to voice her daughter and that Azula’s got to voice another villain 😂 now with them and Zuko’s VA being in this I’m really hoping the rest of the old cast can come back like this! While I wish Toph would have been a great Mother, it feels so natural that things ended up this way. Her parents ruined her experience of childhood, so she had no idea what to do when she had kids of her own. Completely agree with you, in ATLA the Earth Nation was seen as for mining and stuff, it never went into the more artistic sides of things, and I love the Zhao Fu highlights this! The precision alone in all that was demonstrated is insane and goes to show how far metal bending has come and to think that is actually the benders, bending the tiny bits of Earth within the metal somehow makes this even more impressive. I just love that we’re seeing more use for bending outside of combat or advancement and now just making a part of human life like this.
