While a lot happened between this and the last season, I really enjoyed this premiere! A lot happened and now I'm so excited to see where this story will go, especially with the idea of finally seeing Mandalore again and seeing exactly what it's like now.

This was a very good premier but you are right, if you hadn't seen Boba Fett, it'd be very confusing. I also liked the ring planet for the covern and didn't live that they'd change it, it was down to a creative decision to not have this group as only two members (armourer and Paz Visla). Nevaro has come so far which is great, it really shows how people in this universe thrive without the Empire and the bounty hunters etc. Seeing Vane and Gorian refuse to move on also works as people like that in the real world don't like it when there turf is taken and so I think this works nicely. Seeing him go to see Bo and see how defeated she is is also a nice touch. I remember when this came out and people who hadn't seen Clone Wars or Rebels complaining that she gave up after the one blow back she faced in Mando 2 finale, however as people who have watched those shows we know everything she's faced and so seeing her give in is very heartbreaking. Very excited for you to see the development here as I feel this season is more Mandalorian than the last which had a heavy focus on Jedi stuff.

It's kinda wild to think this Season which still feels very recent came out 2 years ago now which is crazy 😂 But a Pretty good start to the Season as Mando kinda jumped around to different but important places and we get a whole recap and update on what everyone's doing and what the situation is. Mando's Covert has now moved to a Hidden Sandy place and is still rebuilding itself and Din will be able to rejoin them after he's redeemed. Nevarro is really thriving with Greef and Mando now even has the Option to Settle down there where he'd be greatly welcomed. Then Seeing Bo-Katan again and how she's been is nice even though it doesn't look very bright on her end for now which is sad to see but hopefully she can be brought out of it with the Help of Din somehow. Revisiting the newly developed Nevarro again was amazing and just see it progress every time we visit and seeing Greef Again is so wholesome it really is like visiting an old Friend at this point we feel just like Mando haha. I really do appreciate that they did explain Cara's absence as well after the Actress wasn't with them anymore and it sounds like her story's left off in a good place so it's nice to know there is still respect for the character there. But seeing Pirates try force and bully their way around Nevarro was a big "Ughh 🙄" just leave this place in Peace guys! it's a bummer to still think that even with the Empire gone you're still gonna run into threats like them. Meeting Gorian Shard was something, he's definitely an interesting looking Fella 😅 he's like an uglier version of Oscar the Grouch 😂😂🗑️ I have a feeling they didn't just introduce him for one scene this episode though, I feel like he's definitely gonna show up again at some point and be a problem 😬 Seeing Purgills was pretty amazing & majestic though, they really did capture it as such a magical moment 😍 it was one of those moments where Rebels fans were freaking out and everyone else was like "Ooohhh what are those things?! 😲" 😂 I like to think of that scene as a tease to the Ahsoka series, when this season premiered the Ahsoka show was the next show coming out with it being only 5 months away at the time and we were all just anticipating so much already. Without giving any away that isn't the only tease for the Ahsoka series you'll see 😶 they managed to sprinkle a couple more things in that you'll probably pick up on as you progress through this season 😉😂 Seeing Bo Katan again was great but damn she's really down in the dumps at the minute 😕 I mean I understand though with what we learnt about what happened between the Events in Rebels and the events in this premiere she must've gone through so much already and it seemed like she saw getting the Darksaber back from Gideon as the only way to almost forgive herself and bring hope back, but since it went to Din instead her vision & motivation almost fell apart and now and she doesn't really have an idea of what to do now since the other remaining members of her Clan seemed to run off as she said, things really aren't looking good. But atleast she has a pretty nice castle and a comfy throne chair to sit on for now 😅 But hopefully Din can bring her out of this dark spot going forward somehow as we find out the Truth on what the planet Mandalore is really like currently, hopefully in the next episode! 😁

Yeah it’s just a shame so much happens outside of this season as if you went straight into this, you’d be completely lost; Other than that, this premier was solid. The Ring World was so awesome but I can understand why they changed it; increasing the size of the covert to this extent would definitely require more space but it definitely feels rushed with how we watched Paz and Armourer set up the Forge there. Nevarro is so beautiful and I’m beyond happy for it!! It’s so much fun to see it progress like this and as you said it not only shows general development but also how a place can thrive without the Empire and other things messing with it. Seeing Bo-Katan like this is so heartbreaking and I hadn’t realised that this is yet another thing the show doesn’t handle so well, she has so much history and a casual viewer would never grasp the weight of her defeat of the Empire which creates two different experiences for the audience, wish they went over her past more to refresh or just tell new people. I cannot wait to see what they do with her though, this feels like an amazing starting point as there’s only one way to go but up!

Oh wow hadn’t realise how recent this was! I did enjoy this premier but I do the amount of recapping it needed to do did weigh things down with how much happened out side of the seasons. It was nice to see that the covert had to move due to the shear number of people they now have, really cool to see how fast they’ve grown. Loved seeing Nevarro like this!! The development of the location has to be one of my favourite parts of this show as it’s such a great visual to show off the influence of Mando and Greef’s actions here, loved that he even had the option to settle down here too, only wish he’d been more conflicted over whether or not to turn it down. Honestly not surprised Bo-Katan is in the state she’s in, she’s lost everything and then the one sliver of hope she had gets taken up by someone else, really looking forward to seeing how she’ll develop this season! Nevarro is such a good location and such a staple for Mando, I really hope he’ll go visit it more as it almost feels like his signature location at this point; the development is beyond satisfying to see and it also is a great reminder of everything Greef’s been though and how much he’s done for this planet. Completely agree, I was wondering how they’d handle Cara’s absence since she was a big part of the show and I’m just glad that they left it off in a good place for the character, no matter the circumstances surrounding the Actress’s firing, the character was still amazing and I’m glad they treated it so well. Yeah it’s such a shame that even with the Empire gone, pirates and other things will still threaten people, but at least there very unorganised and quite easy to deal with; these guys were complete idiots and died over something so trivial, they’re entire purpose here was to highlight how Greef’s not going back to his old school and like the bar he’s changed for the better, and these guys dying also means that the old Greef’s gone too. This Oscar the Grouch knockoff, wanna be Hondo’s definitely coming back! 🤣 He got such a grand entrance yet we’ve seen nothing to back it up and I am waiting to see how on Earth this guy is a king of Pirates is when that title should clearly only belong to Hondo! Loved the scene with the Purgills!! The sense of scale on this was amazing and it really did capture the majesty of these creatures, completely dwarfing our main character and showing us how insignificant they are. 🤯 I have to assume this was a huge tease, Ahsoka’s got to be on the hunt for Thrawn and Ezra and these things are basically her only clue! Can’t wait to look back at this show and realise what else they managed to hide here that hinted at her story but I just can’t wait to see how this will all come together! After this episode, it’s become so clear that the entire time we’ve been watching Bo-Katan in this show, she’s been hanging on by a thread to her motivation considering everything she’s been through and the only thing keeping her going was the Darksaber. Now with it also being gone, she has nothing left and has become a shell of her former self. The fact that the rest of her clan has left her says mainly too things, one that they’re awful for ditching her 🤣 and two, that even without the Darksaber she was able to keep people by her side for so long through her own strength alone. I think she’s become so fixated on the power that comes with the Darksaber that’s she’s forgotten the kind of authority she caries with her and I’m really hoping we can watch and see her relearn this. The castle though was very lovely, not a lot going on there but a nice Throne nonetheless 😂 Can’t wait to see what Mandalore is like after all this time and hopefully that plus Mando’s influence on her can help bring her out of this funk and give her some new found hope!
