So L's dead and Light wins 😭 this was so painful to watch and now I'm really starting to wonder if this show is just meant to be about Light winning and actually becoming a God while everyone who challenges him fails.

Technically speaking, from a storytelling perspective, Light was the protagonist, and L the antagonist, not the other way around. I can see why that doesn't seem right, but those words really only mean "central character" and "opponent to the central character". It's like how people like to claim Thanos is the protagonist of Infinity War.

True, I’m just calling them this as it’s so clear that Light is a villain and calling him the Protagonist just doesn’t feel right, although it is correct 😂 I think the word just feels more positive and I don’t want to address Light like that.

I think L knew kira was light the whole time, he just didn’t have the evidence

Yeah it's such a shame, it's so annoying that he had the right answers but Light was able to cover his tracks. Honestly, if L wasn't saddled with the rest of the Taskforce who he had to try and convince, he probably would have done it.
