I'm lost for words, this show just keeps getting better for me as on top of all the great stuff that happened in this episode, Ahsoka goes to the World Between Worlds!?! The fights we get between our Heroes and villains were fantastic but just hearing Snips against blows it all away!

a few more thoughts before the final message. i have done some more reading and i think the situation between ahsoka/sabine/the map is a bit more complicated that it seems. we all know sabine does NOT want to destroy the map. but we saw given everything that happened, (ahsoka dying, baylan manipulating her, and her just not wanting to destory it) sabine was still SUPER conflicted. i think its very possible that had she and Ahsoka stuck together like Huyang suggested or if she hadn't been hurt that things could have gone in a different way. i dont know if its impossible that sabine would allow the map to be destroyed but that scenario only happens with Ahsoka present and healthy. but overall i do think you're right that given the state of things Sabine did what just about anyone would do. "Saving the Galaxy" is too abstract of a motivation for most normal people. but saving your brother? that is something that will motivate you far more than "saving the galaxy" even if in this case saving your brother is not the most selfless option. without a counter balance to push you away from that option it really is what most people would have picked. also sabine thought she lost Ahsoka and we know from past experience that Sabine's reaction post loss is always extremely emotional. something else that is kinda important that you seemed to have glossed over. B: i know you feel that Ezra Bridger is the only family you have left. S: you dont know what you're talking about. B: I know that's what's HOLDING YOU BACK. Baylan is implying this is why she is having such a hard time with the force. to go further with Baylan, Ahsoka didn't lose her fight with baylan because she went in with a single blade rather than two. the truth is she lost before a single lightsaber was ever drawn. she lost from the moment that baylan said "Anakin spoke highly of you." By invoking his name Baylan struck out at her Achille's heel. for a jedi to fight properly they must keep themselves balanced. but bringing up Anakin and Vader in the same conversation ensured that Ahsoka was NO WHERE near balanced. It's in fact super clear that he had read her mind because the galaxy at large wont discover who Vader was for many many years to come. at this point in time only Ahsoka, mabye sabine (since she is ahsoka's padawan), his children, and Thrawn know that Anakin become Darth Vader. Baylan really should not know this fact. worse Baylan kept hammering it at. saying that the fight was inevitable, that her legacy was death and destruction and that they could have done things different but taht she know no other way. these were all unguarded upper cuts to her emotional center. add to that the running clock that Ahsoka knew she was on. she didn't have the time to fight baylan properly she needed to get to the map before the upload was complete. so she fought him far more emotionally than she should have and it cost her quite a lot. of course some poeple have also pointed out that the way she saved sabine outside the ship was far more aggresive and possibly even darker than they are used to from her.

final message. the world between worlds. what a beautiful transition. i love how they did that. turning the tides of the water into tides of the stars on bridge. ironically it looks even more beautiful in live action than it did in the animated format. so you know they put in a lot of time and effort to make it beutiful. i like that when you saw her fall you suggested that she might have passed out. which bears more discussion next episode. one thing of note that just about all viewers knew about at this time. Episode 5 was going to be relased on hour earlier at select theaters!!! some lucky viewers actually managed to watch episode 5 of ahsoka on the big screen! what an amazing experience that might ahve been!

I really liked how conflicted Sabine was in this scene, the answer was obvious but she still put up a fight to try and do as Ahsoka asked which I think is really powerful in itself. Love the idea that her longing to find Ezra is holding her back from the Force as it makes so much sense, she would never be able to focus on anything else, especially not her training as long as she still has this mission to find him. And you’re so right about this, Ahsoka was thrown off balance the moment Anakin’s name was mentioned and I kind of love how easy it made this fight for Baylan, we know Ahsoka to be this incredibly powerful warrior, yet she has this one big weakness.

This transition was just perfection!! The waves turning into the waves on the bridge is now how I want every entrance into this place to happen! I am beyond jealous that people got to see episode 5 in cinemas 😂 To experience everything that happened in that episode on a big screen would have felt unreal!
