Hey! How's your day been going? I have once again been continuing to juggle tasks this month, from job work to art and Kirby and whatnot. Honestly, aside from video games (I finished Epic Mickey, completed Kirby and the Forgotten Land AND also got an Oculus Quest 2), it's been a bit of a slow month work-wise.

If I had to say some real talk though, the creative burnout on the next core video is still something I am grappling with, that and my time being taken up by other tasks has certainly not been in its favor. I'm not sure how to put it, actually -- while I do want to finish it, I don't want to feel like I'm being forced to take time out of the work I am currently enjoying doing to work on the video. On the other hand, it still feels like something that I should finish before moving on to other projects, lest it become stuck in purgatory. And then there's looming thoughts in the back of my head that I should finish it asap or else I'll lose subs or not be favored by the ""algorithm""!!...and I am trying not to be affected by those thoughts and go at my own pace.

I know it's probably a weird thing to talk about on this platform specifically, but I hope you guys can understand why I am occasionally encountering burnout on the script, even though some work has definitely been made since last time. (Man all this talk for a video subject that's...well we'll get to that when we get to that.) Which is also why I hope I can find some more bonus Plus video topics to bring up in the meantime too!

And of course, near the end of March I was also taking some time to work on...

40 Minutes of Retro Nintendo Accessory Sounds ASMR

...this year's April Fools video! It's very self-explanatory, but if you guys wanted to know a fun fact, then this video was a lot more demanding to film than I expected. Of course, I tried to minimize background noise as much as possible (there's an artificial white noise layer that was added in afterwards), which limited the time periods when I could record, I couldn't have a fan turned on in the background which meant I was basically sweating bullets while recording some of these, and shots like the R.O.B. one were particularly challenging to set-up properly. Overall, it ended up having a half-serious, half-joke (see: the gyro and rumble pak) tone that I'm glad to see people liked! There will come a time when I can make a serious April Fools production again...someday.

(and yes, I was typing the Bee Movie script)

Plus videos

From this report on, I also wanted to compile the exclusive Akfamilyhome Plus bonus videos I've put out during each month for those who missed them!

Last month, I took a look at every Puzzle Swap panel released in North America for the 3DS. It was a nice trip down memory lane about a feature that I've seen people reminisce on but not many people have actually talked about in video form! I'd like to do more looks at 3DS games/apps sometime, especially with the eShop shutdown looming closer.

And that's this month's report! The trivia show idea that I mentioned last month is still something that's on my mind and need to organize, seems like quite a few of you are interested in joining it. I'll let you all know on Discord if there are any further updates!
