June a.k.a. birthday a.k.a not E3 a.k.a. pride month is over! I grabbed a couple of things myself to celebrate the occasion (most notably a Super Famicom Jr.), but that's about it. There were some major projects in terms of irl work that I finished up this month, but I am also anticipating some new work to be tossed my way, so it's not necessarily a guarantee that I can just fire up all the cylinders in terms of YouTube production. That said, there's definitely a lot of stuff to talk about in this report!

"10-in-1" Nintendo Switch Sports Accessories | Things of Interest

The Things of Interest episode that Twitter voted for is out now! The concept might've just sounded like "haha useless plastic trash" at first glance, but tennis racket shells aside, I was definitely intrigued by how some of these changed the way the Switch Sports games played, in both good and bad ways! I would say the volleyball hand strap was certainly a pleasant surprise. I also enjoyed writing the script for this one too, being able to sprinkle some small gags here and there! Overall, a solid production for a more generic topic, even though people were (sorta) hyped to see Wii-era accessories return! More bootleg accessories are definitely not off the table for Things of Interest.

With this out the way, the next TOI episode will be on the GBA TV Tuner mentioned in last month's report! I'm also commissioning a logo redesign for the series, so keep an eye out for that soon too!

Plus videos

This month, I did what would probably be my last 3DS unboxing in a long while...a sealed copy of Captain Toad for the 3DS! I really like it being combo of an overlooked (thanks to the Switch version) and a technically impressive port, all for one of my most favorite Nintendo handhelds. Hope you guys enjoyed a more chill "experience"-style video!

I also was finally able to get some of you together to Guess! That! Nintendo Logo Imprint!! Part 1 is out at this link, and Part 2, while not being published until a few hours after this post, is also available to you all here.

This was the quiz show idea I teased all those months ago, and yup, it was as weird as I had envisioned it out to be. I only really had time to playtest it with one other person, so in the end there might've been a few difficulty spikes, but it still made for a very entertaining watch with a surprising upset near the end! Thank you so much again to those who volunteered to participate, and I am definitely down to do something similar in the future if I ever figure out another suitable topic!

That's it for the report! I'm looking to focus on the next Things of Interest, plus some small scale ideas I have lying around for both my main and side channels to try and get back into the groove of production while balancing work. Nintendo fans might've not gotten as many announcements as they wanted out of not-E3 events this year, but with the TOI episode, side videos and reactions I made with folks in the Discord server, plus a bunch of gaming streams and gatherings, it's been a pretty eventful month for me personally! See you next month and thanks for sticking around!
