July 2022 Report (Patreon)
Content
Wow. So this month was kinda rough.
To be fair, it was more so a bunch of recent announcements, new job work (sorta called it from the last report) and a few personal events and issues all happening within the last few weeks of it, but it has definitely taken a noticeable mental toll on me. I try to take care of myself as much as possible in the face of it all, but that meant I didn't have a lot of time to work on proper video scripting this month. However, there are still a few updates I'd like to share this time around!
Plus videos
This month on the Plus channel, we took a look at the PSP Go, as well as a Gyromite-themed pencil case from 1985! Both obscure objects in their own unique ways. Despite the lack of time on more elaborate productions, I am still always on the lookout for small-scale doodads to make Plus videos on, and I hope they're still informative to you guys either way.
I did see some new patrons join in recently, so I hope in the meantime until my next main channel video, these Plus videos can satiate your need for obscure Nintendo trivia. More topics will be on the way!
So...I got a Rhythm Tengoku arcade machine.
Well, not exactly the full on cabinet, but I did manage to snag a Sega Noami arcade board plus the ROM cartridge for the game! On a quest to sort of tick a thing off my non-existent bucket list, I will be documenting my progress of trying to get this thing set up on camera for an eventual unscripted Things of Interest video, to sort of show what setting something like this up means for someone who has zero experience with arcade hardware. Some footage has been recorded, but I don't have all of the accessories necessary to get this in full working order, so it may be a while before I can give more updates!
With that, that'll be it for the report! If you've also been kinda down near the end of the month, I sincerely hope August will be a better month for the rest of us. Thank you again for your support!
