Since this next release is a continuation of a previous one and its characters are already known, it's a great opportunity for me to conduct a survey on how players would like to be introduced to new characters.

When I develop a character, I already have it created in my mind, and I try to make its appearance as close to that as possible.

But I don't know to what extent players share that same image. Or even if they want that. Sometimes you prefer to create your own mental image of the character.

That's what the poll is about:

How would you prefer me to do the posts?

I'll use Paul as an example... depending on the result, I'll replicate it for the next targets.

1) I can introduce Paul by showing his image in the game and also a simulation of how I imagine him

This is Paul, husband, father, and shop owner

----------

2) Or I can introduce Paul only with the image of how he will be shown in the game, and then everyone can imagine their own Paul.

This is Paul, husband, father, and shop owner

🚨🚨 Of course, and just to reiterate... I'm only talking about posts introducing the character here. In the game, everything remains as it is. There will be no changes to the appearance of the game.

He's so cute! I can't wait to play with him 😍

The idea of a realistic image is actually very good. It adds more appeal if you like it. Past shots like Issai, Luke, etc. were AMAZING, and they looked even hotter in a realistic way.

I even want the game can be the real image style, through it will be hardly come true.

Daily Adventures of a Male's Hunter

Perhaps in the future, with advances in AI technology, I will be able to convert all images into better graphics. And the way this technology is advancing, that day is not too far off. But at the same time, there are many people who like this more cartoonish style.

I like option #1. I also think this AI "realistic" version of characters could be used if you ever want to expand the "Instagram" module on Hunter's phone. The photos we see of our targets there (currently only Luke's) could be made to look "realistic" through this process to make it look as if we're actually browsing the targets' social media. The only problem is having the AI produce consistent images. 🤔

It is up to you, dear Dev :-) Nevertheless, in case there is a chance that the game will reworked with a more realistic style, then it is good you continue to explore this area. Be aware, however, there are sometimes small but important differences between the two guys. Like in this last case, Paul generated by AI has dark eyes, while the other seems to have blue. The shape of the head is also different.

Where is "the guy"? I want him 😗

Realistic images are fine but not if created via AI.

If you do choose to implement the realistic picture, make it disableable. Lots of people really hate AI-created stuff.

Daily Adventures of a Male's Hunter

But just to be clear. There are no plans to change anything in the game. It will stay as it is! The question is only whether, in a post here on Patreon, people would have a problem with seeing a simulated image of how I imagine the character to be. That's all

I love your original work better than the AI-generated images. The problem with more realistic images is imho that they don't leave any detail to fill in by your imagination, so I think it is easier not to like some characters. E.g., I don't like the AI Paul, but I like him in the 3D model, probably because my imagination fills in some information to my personal liking.

Leo Ivankov

You should show us both imo. I love both!
