As the title of this post says, I'm putting TRT on hiatus. Writing the series is no longer fun for me. I realized this a few weeks ago when I feel sick and couldn't write for a while. When I tried to get back into TRT, the words didn't flow naturally. Instead, it felt like pulling teeth. I tried to keep going despite this, but it was like bashing my head against a wall. Thus, I'm putting TRT on hiatus for the time being. When I get back to it, and I will get back to it, I'll do so with a refreshed mind. However, for now, there won't be any new TRT content.

I'm taking a break to figure out where to go from here. TRT was my main project, but now that I'm putting it on hiatus I'll need to change some things. I'll either focus solely on Demon of Dawn and Dusk, or I'll start a new project to keep up with the four chapters a week release schedule. I'm not sure which path I'll take yet. So far, I'm leaning more towards the latter than the former.

I know that many of you will be angry and disappointed by this, since most of you are fans of TRT, but I'm doing this for the sake of my creative spirit. Rather than stress myself out trying to force the issue, I'd rather put it on hold for now and come back to it later. While I'm sad that it's come to this, I'm also excited. I have plenty of ideas and projects that I've wanted to work on for a while now, and I'm looking forward to sharing them with you all.

If you decide to stop supporting me due to this decision, I understand. No hard feelings from me. I just want to say thank you for sticking with me for this long. However, if you decide to keep on supporting me, I'll do what I can to repay your faith in me.

Thank you for your time. I'll see y'all again in two weeks (hopefully).

I get it. TBH, I haven't really liked the direction TRT has been taking in the last few chapters, and you could see that it was dropping in quality. I hope you find your groove again (and maybe RetCon the last 6 chapters or so).

One piece of advice I've heard of in this sort of situation is write something else in that world. Write about the past of some character. Write about some side character. Write about some world building. Find something that piques your interest in that world or characters that you missed. Take it fanfic level, and write something like someone would write fanfic of your work. Time travel. AU. For want of nail. Or go all the way and cross over with an existing work. I like what Beware of Chicken did with this complete alternate AU where the main character got the insert in a different sect, leading to a completely different result. What if Gabe discovered his past life in his second life? What if Annebeth's mask was stronger and she took over her yandere side and/or realized it was wrong. In either the normal new universe or that previous fic idea. What if you write some past of Annebeth at the academy? Or the sisters? Or fanfic it up again and have Annebeth time travel back to at the academy, but without Gabe awakening his memories. Perhaps even before they first met, so idiot Gabe didn't hate Annebeth, per se. There's so many fun snippet ideas that you can play around with that I would adore to read, especially as I've come to love these characters. And I never see any authors doing things like this. Just go pure omake style on your own work! Then, you're playing with the characters instead of falling out of love with them, but can do stuff that increases your interest instead of having it fall apart.
