Chapter 9. Showing the Truth about that Day.
│1st Person POV of Uchiha Fugaku│
[The Land of Fire, Village Hidden in the Leaf (Konohagakure), Atop the Hokage Rock...]
While Tsunade and Jiraiya were having their conversation, I was thinking about something. I was thinking, should I reveal my Mangekyou Sharingan to both of them?
In this reality, my close friendship with Minato and Kushina had led to frequent interactions with Jiraiya, a connection that was maintained even after I assumed leadership of the Uchiha Clan, albeit to a slightly lesser extent.
From both my personal experiences with him and my knowledge of Jiraiya and Tsunade’s characters from Naruto, I knew they were people I could trust. If I chose to confide in them about my Mangekyou, I had no doubt they would keep the secret.
Additionally, after my Mangekyou evolved into Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, my right eye’s ability also evolved.
In addition to limited precognition, Ame-no-Mikumari also allows me to view past events now. And if I choose to reveal my Mangekyou to them, this ability is the only thing I am going to reveal.
Before I could reach a decision, their conversation came to an end. I watched as they leaped up from Minato’s carved face, landing a few steps away from me.
“So,” Tsunade said, arms crossed under her breasts as she looked at me expectantly, “would you care to tell me the real reason you wanted me to become the Fifth Hokage?”
Jiraiya was also observing me with a serious expression.
I held Tsunade’s gaze, weighing my words carefully. After a brief pause, I exhaled and made my decision.
“Because Konoha needs a leader strong enough to lead us through what’s coming,” I said evenly. “Someone capable of facing threats that are troublesome to deal with, even for Minato.”
Tsunade narrowed her eyes slightly. “You keep speaking as if you know something the rest of us don’t,” she said. “So tell me, Fugaku—what exactly do you see coming?”
“I do know something. But before I explain, there is something I need to show you,” I said, continuing in a firm tone, “However, I need your word that what you’re about to see stays between us.”
Tsunade arched a brow, arms still crossed, but there was no hesitation in her response, “Fine. You have my word.”
Jiraiya, however, took a moment longer, his gaze scrutinizing me before he finally nodded. “Minato and Kushina used to trust you a great deal. And after everything I’ve seen over the years, I’m inclined to believe that, at the very least, you didn’t have a hand in the Kyuubi attack. So, Fugaku, you have my word as well.”
That was all I needed. Without another word, I channeled chakra into my eyes, bringing my Sharingan to life. Then, with deliberate intent, I pushed even more chakra into them.

│3rd Person POV │
Tsunade and Jiraiya watched as Fugaku’s Sharingan flared to life, the three tomoe in each eye spinning slowly. The crimson glow of his eyes was familiar enough to both of them, however, something unexpected happened next.
The tomoe spun faster and twisted, reshaping themselves with fluid precision until they changed into a six-cornered star. A heavy pressure, almost imperceptible, settled over the area. Both Sannin could feel the shift in Fugaku’s presence, the sheer weight of the power resting within his eyes now.
Jiraiya let out a low breath, his expression tightening as he studied the transformation. “Well, this was completely unexpected.”
“Mangekyou Sharingan!” Tsunade exclaimed, surprise flickering across her features as her brown eyes narrowed in contemplation. The implications of Fugaku possessing such power were not lost on her. Keeping her tone steady, she asked, “How long have you had those eyes?”
“For quite some time now,” Fugaku replied. He kept his answer deliberately vague—partly because revealing the exact timeframe could lead them to deduce how he had awakened this power, and partly because he wasn’t willing to discuss that chapter of his part.
“I’ve kept these eyes hidden from everyone until now,” Fugaku said, his tone measured. “Aside from Mikoto, and now the two of you, no one else knows of their existence.”
His gaze lingered on them for a moment before he continued, “The reason I’m revealing this now is because my Mangekyō grants me access to a unique technique; Ame-no-Mikumari.”
Jiraiya and Tsunade remained silent, their attention fixed on him as he spoke.
“This ability allows me to witness past events,” Fugaku explained, his voice steady, “though the cost is immense. Each use drains an enormous amount of chakra.”
Jiraiya’s brows furrowed, his mind already working through the implications. “You can see the past?” he echoed, skepticism laced in his tone.
Fugaku gave a slight nod. “Not just memories or vague impressions—I see events as they truly happened, as though I were there myself.”
“And you’ve tested this?” Tsunade asked with an unreadable expression on her face.
“I have,” Fugaku confirmed, his expression darkening slightly. “As you can imagine, I used this technique to see what really happened on that night two weeks ago. And what I saw has convinced me beyond a doubt—Konoha is standing on the edge of a storm unlike any we’ve faced before.”
Tsunade sighed, rubbing her temples. “Alright,” she muttered. “I have a feeling I’m not going to like where this is going… but go on. Tell us what you saw.”
“I believe it’s better if I show you instead,” Fugaku said, his tone firm. “Please don’t resist.”
Before either of them could respond, his eyes spun once more, the intricate pattern of his Mangekyō gleaming ominously.
“Genjutsu: Mangekyou Sharingan!”
In an instant, the world around Jiraiya and Tsunade warped. The rocky outcrop atop Hokage Rock, the distant village lights, the cool night air; all of it vanished for a moment, replaced by darkness and silence.
Then, the illusion solidified.
The Sannin now stood within a memory, a vision pulled straight from the past; one Fugaku had witnessed through Ame-no-Mikumari.
Instinctively, Jiraiya and Tsunade tried to disrupt their chakra flow to dispel the genjutsu. But to their surprise, nothing happened. They exchanged a glance, silent but filled with meaning. This wasn’t an ordinary genjutsu—this was something far beyond what they had encountered before.
ROARRRRR—!!
A deafening, primal roar tore through the air, shaking the very ground beneath them. The sheer force of the sound sent a jolt through Jiraiya and Tsunade, forcing them to snap their attention toward the source.
In the distance, they saw the Kyuubi, its massive form looming over the village. Buildings lay in ruins, streets torn apart in its wake, as the colossal beast unleashed its wrath upon Konoha. The flickering glow of fires illuminated the night, casting long shadows against the destruction.
Quickly, they scanned their surroundings, only to realize they were still atop Hokage Rock. The familiarity of the setting contrasted sharply with the chaos unfolding before them, a reminder that they were merely observers within this memory.
Then, they noticed something. The Kyuubi was looking in their direction. They tensed up, however, before they could do anything, they realized that the Kyuubi’s menacing gaze wasn’t fixed on them, but slightly below their position.
Following its line of sight, Jiraiya and Tsunade shifted their focus—and there, standing atop the carved visage of the Fourth Hokage, was a lone figure with blonde hair, his white cloak with flaming red motifs at the edges billowing in the wind.
“Minato…” Jiraiya breathed, his voice barely above a whisper, laced with quiet sorrow. His expression tightened, a mix of pain and remembrance flickering in his eyes.
Before either of them could process the moment, the Kyuubi let out another thunderous roar, gathering a swirling mass of dark chakra at its maw. In mere seconds, a Bijūdama was unleashed by it, hurtling straight toward Hokage Rock with devastating force.
But just as the attack threatened to obliterate the mountain, Minato made his move. Using one of his signature Jutsu, the Hiraishin (Flying Thunder God Technique), he warped away the Bijūdama.
In the distance, far away from the village, they witnessed an explosion, indicating where exactly Minato sent the Bijūdama.
But before Jiraiya and Tsunade could fully grasp the relief of that moment, movement caught their eyes.
Without warning, a shadowy figure draped in a black hooded cloak materialized behind Minato, moving with eerie silence. Just as the figure extended a hand toward him, Minato reacted in an instant as he sensed the threat. He twisted sharply, using his signature three-pronged kunai, he drove the blade backward in a swift, calculated strike aimed directly at his assailant's head.
However, to Jiraiya and Tsunade’s shock, Minato’s kunai sliced cleanly through the figure—passing through as if striking nothing but air. Even more astonishing was what happened next—the assailant, entirely unharmed, effortlessly caught Minato’s wrist.
“You’ll have to go through me before you can deal with the Kyuubi,” the hooded figure declared. “And… our fight is already over.”
Despite the chaos raging in the background—the monstrous roars of the Kyuubi, the sounds of destruction tearing through the village—Jiraiya and Tsunade could hear the words with chilling clarity.
Then, Minato’s body twisted unnaturally, as if space itself had warped around him. A moment later, he was simply gone.
Both Sannin felt their hearts lurch into their throats at the sight. The implications of what they had just witnessed sent a cold dread through them. But the assailant’s next words dispelled their immediate fears.
“He teleported again… He’s Fast,” the masked figure muttered, “I’ll have to suck him in faster next time… The instant I touch him…”
With that, the air around him distorted. A spiraling void swallowed his form, and in an instant, he too vanished from sight.
As the two Sannin reeled from what they had just witnessed, the illusion around them fractured like shattered glass, dissolving in an instant and pulling them back to the present.
The night air felt heavier as Tsunade and Jiraiya blinked, their senses adjusting back to reality. The distant glow of Konoha’s lanterns, the soft rustling of leaves—it all felt almost too quiet after what they had just witnessed.
Neither of them spoke right away. The weight of the vision clung to them, settling deep in their chests.
Jiraiya let out a slow breath, running a hand through his hair. “That… wasn’t just some normal genjutsu, was it?” His voice was low, edged with something that almost sounded like disbelief.
“No,” Tsuande muttered, her fists clenched at her sides. She looked at Fugaku, though avoiding his eyes, as she continued, “That was something else entirely.”
His Mangekyou still spinning faintly, Fugaku explained, “Beyond Ame-no-Mikumari, the Mangekyou Sharingan grants a tremendous enhancement to all the Sharingan’s abilities.”
Tsunade inhaled deeply, grounding herself. “That masked man…” she said, her tone measured but tense. “He’s the one who unleashed the Kyuubi. He is extremely dangerous.”
Jiraiya’s jaw tightened. “And yet, we still have no damn clue who he was,” he muttered. “Just some ghost in a cloak with abilities so far beyond the norm that I can’t make heads or tails about it.”
Before either of them could dwell further, Fugaku’s voice cut through the moment, “There’s more you need to see.”
Both Sannin turned their full attention to him.

│1st Person POV of Uchiha Fugaku │
Without wasting any time, I moved on to the next set of memories.
This time, I showed them the moment he tore the Kyuubi from Kushina. Then came the battle.
Minato against the masked man. A short but relentless clash of skill and power, marked by blinding speed and space-time ninjutsu. The way Minato analyzed and adapted in mere seconds, how he saw through the enemy’s ability and countered with ruthless precision… It was a testament to why he had been called the Yellow Flash.
Through it all, I watched Tsunade and Jiraiya, their reactions shifting with every moment that unfolded before them.
A few minutes later, I finally finished showing every memory I had intended to show them and ended the genjutsu. Returning to the present, they exhaled slowly, taking a few moments to digest what they had just witnessed.
“That’s the truth,” I said, breaking the heavy silence that fell upon us. “This is the enemy we face—someone who orchestrated everything, manipulated the Kyuubi, and came dangerously close to destroying the village.
“As you saw, he escaped after getting injured by Minato. But he is still alive and because of this, Konoha is in far greater danger than any of us realized.”
