I haven't seen the retrospective episodes, but my understanding is that they're mostly recaps of various scenes that relate to the upcoming arc. Most reactors skip them, and personally I'd prefer that, but if you want to spend time on the recap then go for it!

Those retrospective episodes give refreshers on the major events that led to this upcoming war and the major figures involved. Basically it's episodes full of flashbacks to various arcs and events relating to the current plot line. If you feel a bit forgetful of how the story even got to this point and what certain characters have done so far, then these episodes are for you. Otherwise you can definitely skip them and resume with the canon episodes. I don't mind either way, whatever you choose to do is all good with me.

Right-Hand Man

Can’t get over Zoro getting lost and honestly… I don’t want to 😂

If you skip the recap or not, I don't mind. I'm here for the Katy vibes :D

Xeth

It's one of my favourite gags in the series 🤣

It really is horrible where Robin is, I swear that Oda is hinting that some horrible things have been done to her. The way she is hardly dressed is stressful, obviously Oda can't mention what happens to women in that position...like Boa and her sisters being slaves of the Celestial Dragons 😒

Xeth

Oda is so good at writing these types of stories, I love when he has the freedom to deal with characters that aren't part of the main story. As you said, the fact that the child understands the position the "snitch" is in makes me so emotional. The fact that all of them are helpless and have to find any way to survive, even if that comes at the detriment of other people. Watching her wrestle with her morals is such a strong story, its so sweet when she gives the chocolate away as all she wanted was to be free 😢

Xeth

I really want all that food from the island! It makes me want ramen so badly 🤣

Xeth

Zoro x Perona is a great ship 🤣
