I said it before and I’ll say it again… Why do I put myself through this pain over and over again? 😭 It’s just as devastating as the first time I saw it, maybe more so because I know it’s coming. Luffy’s cry’s of pure grief and loss is always too much to bare. Shout out to the VA for that amazing performance 🙌. I need junk food now… lol

I been trying to tell people to watch this series for over 22 years, and NO ONE has listen to me. They just take a look at the episode count and just goes.. No no no. It just hurts my heart.. I wish I had that many episodes to watch! I came in to this series when it was at episode 142, and I felt like I was late to the party even back then x) Counting series, movies and everything watchable, One Piece is the best thing I have ever seen in my life, nothing beats it for me. I get so glad every time someone starts watching this show, because I know their embarking on one of the greatest adventure life has to offer. At least in my opinion. And when it comes to waiting. Marine Ford was one of the hardest arcs/sagas to wait for. But you know.. He who waits for something good does not wait in vain 😁 Love your reactions! 😁 Sending a hug from Norway 😊

I'm still convinced that if Sengoku didn't stop Garp, he would've actually killed Akainu and you can't tell me otherwise. He knew what was about to happen, but he definitely hoped for Whitebeard to succeed in freeing him. Then they actually did it, but Akainu ruined everything. It's very satisfying to watch WB absolutely wreck Akainu though. Have seen it 100 times and it's still amazing. Also I think at the time noone even considered that someone that important could die in One Piece. There have been a couple of fakeout deaths (Pell, Ganfal, ...) and noone really died. That was the first ever actual death and afaik it took everyone by surprise.

Watching this unfold at the time was surreal. Specifically the week in between Ace getting punched and the realization setting in during the next episode that there was no way to save him. Imagine spending the the whole week, thinking back to that scene, with no answer. Just gotta wait... It was painful. What is even crazier to think about though, is that Oda had this planned out all along and even foreshadowed this in a colour spread he made for chapter 520 in the manga during the Amazon Lily Arc. Take a quick look for it on google, but you'll quickly see the parallels. Luffy is doing an almost identical pose while losing at cards. Holding a visible Ace in his hand while in the other hand is a Brook/Skeleton/Death card. There's so many levels to Oda's writing. Man's thinking in 5 dimensions.

I'm shocked that Akainu didn't die from the hits he took from WB. In some parallel universe, would've loved to see Garp paint the walls and floor with Akainu red. One thing I'm confused about though is why don't Logias just constantly be in their Logia form to avoid damage? Did Akainu actually get sliced and take damage from Vista and Marco? Was that not blood spurting out of him? But when it cut back it looked like he avoided the damage. Man, Logias are so confusing.

Spoiler Alert Below 1.) Akainu is not one to ge reconned with, he is arguably the strongest marine ever 2.) If that old Garp went to fight Akainu, he would get demolished, there are 2 other admirals there also. 3.) The reason why Akainu didn’t bleed when Vista and Marco sliced him is because he used Haki to see the future and morph his body before they hit him, that’s also what Kizan(aokiji) did to Whitebeard.

My take is that logias work differently depending on what element they are. It's not that you can't cut logias at all, but that you can't cut the elements they turn the person too. Except some elements like magma and ice are naturally cuttable, while others like fire and smoke will just be dispersed with no damage. But since logias can shapeshift at will, they can always consciously avoid being cut by shapeshifting away from the blade, or simply reform afterwards. So Akainu did take damage from Vista and Marco, just not enough to hinder him.
