Personally, I'd say that 'Ah-kai-nu' like you were saying is honestly close enough. But if you want to get it a tiny bit closer, I would just say don't overemphasize the 'kai' and just say all of the syllables quickly and evenly - so rather than saying 'ah-KAInu', which we kind of naturally do in English, just speed through it really fast with an even tempo and even emphasis on every syllable - 'ah-kah-E-nu'. This works with most Japanese words, for example, Aokiji; people tend to say 'Ow-KEY-jee', but if you just speed through the word without the emphasis on the middle syllable it'll sound a lot more natural. Japanese pronunciation is more complicated than this, but this is something easy that gets people most of the way there.

The vast majority of reactors I've watched don't suspect anything of Koby when the voices are disappearing in his head. Yes it is very similar to Aisa in Skypiea. Good shit for picking up on that 💯

Insanity from beginning to end. Too much to say, too much to talk about. Oda really pulled out every single one of his Wildcards in this Arc. You're really picking up on a lot of the small details too. Very impressed! Sadly the one time Luffy gets to meet Shanks he's completely unconscious!

I know it has been said before, but just imagine this arc and Impel down without Buggy. Would have been so depressing and intense im not even sure i could handle it.

In regards to the people rooting for the marines you gotta consider some things. The first is the geography of the One Piece world: It is made of Islands, long stretches of ocean and is more than twice as big as earth. Travelling from one island to another is difficult, and so vast amount of people almost never interact with the world government, nor experience its bad side. On the other hand, Luffy is an exception to pirates, majority of other pirates loot, steal and kill as a profession, so most people would see them as a pretty major and acute problem to deal with. The Marines especially being just anti-pirates makes them look very heroic to the average person, like we see whitebeard as this good guy with his crew as his family, but the average person sees just a monster with a gang of other extremely powerful monsters. Most marines are not even into the corrupted or fucked shit the government does, it is just the higher up you go the more it starts to show.

Whitebeard is still a pirate, you may like him and his character but he still plunders, kills and does all sorts of stuff - he may be not doing it all scummy like most pirates but he still does and if it is not him, then it is his crew to the lowest man that uses Whitebeards fame to do so. In a way it is not only the citizens of One Piece not knowing Whitebeard good enough but also having a real reason to fear him, as I am sure that he has also destroyed many (innocent) peoples lifes (especially looking at his past). We love him but as everything: It is not all black an white in One Piece, just as it isn´t in the real world.

Yeah I mean more that the people of the world did not get any insight into whitebeards character as a dad and his relationship with his crew, so they do not really see any of his redeeming qualities.

Buggy can complain all he wants but he could have dropped Jinbe and Luffy immediately when he realised Akainu was after them and he didn't. Then when Law asked him to put them on his ship, his first instinct was to be like "ummm I don't think so who the hell are you and why should I trust you with them???" I love him so much
